It was a sudden change in Naledi’s behavior that first raised concern—she became withdrawn, stopped socializing, and spent most of her time in her room. Now, as the pregnancy progresses, the family is seeking justice and fighting to ensure that the responsible party is held accountable. 702 Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa is broadcast on 702, a Johannesburg based talk radio station. The Superhero Show Show #582Spider-Man Reveals His Real IdentityThe Superhero Show Show: “The Lizard King” Reveals Spider-Man's Real Identity and a Life-Changing ProposalThis week on The Superhero Show Show, the hosts cover one of the most emotional and game-changing episodes of Spider-Man: The Animated Series—Season 4, Episode 10, “The Lizard King.” Not only does Peter battle a monstrous uprising underground, but he also takes a massive personal step forward. In a move that fans have waited seasons for, Peter finally reveals Spider-Man's real identity to Mary Jane Watson. And that's just the beginning.A Reptilian Uprising Meets Emotional TurmoilThe episode begins with the return of Dr. Curt Connors, once again transformed into the Lizard. This time, he's not alone. He's leading a community of mutated lizard people, threatening the balance between the surface world and the underground. Peter dives into the conflict, knowing that stopping Curt won't just be a physical challenge—it will be emotional as well.Curt, slipping between his human and reptilian sides, still remembers Peter's secret. The possibility of Connors exposing Spider-Man's real identity creates extra pressure. The hosts highlight how this tension—both internal and external—drives the episode forward.A Secret Revealed and a Ring OfferedMidway through the episode, the show takes a surprising turn. Peter makes a bold decision and reveals his identity to Mary Jane. Instead of reacting with fear or anger, she listens. She accepts him—not just as Spider-Man, but as Peter Parker. According to the podcast crew, this scene is one of the most heartfelt and honest in the series. Then comes the proposal. After years of hiding the truth, Peter asks Mary Jane to marry him. The hosts love how the moment balances superhero stakes with personal vulnerability. Mary Jane says yes, adding a joyful milestone to an already powerful episode.Family Support and Genuine EmotionThe celebration continues as Peter and Mary Jane share their engagement with Aunt May and Aunt Anna. May responds with joy and pride, thrilled to see Peter growing into a loving, responsible man. Meanwhile, Anna expresses concern but ultimately supports her niece's choice. The contrast between the two aunts adds realism and depth to the scene. The hosts praise this balance of superhero drama and family dynamics. It's rare for animated shows to give this much emotional weight to personal relationships. Yet this episode does it flawlessly.More Than Just a Hero“The Lizard King” doesn't just deepen Spider-Man's rogues' gallery. It pushes Peter into a new chapter of his life. By revealing Spider-Man's real identity and proposing to Mary Jane, he stops hiding from the people he loves most. This week's episode of The Superhero Show Show celebrates that growth. Physician and psychologist Heidi Feldman is a pioneer in the field of developmental behavioral pediatrics who says that the world's understanding of childhood disability is changing and so too are the ways we approach it. Where once institutionalization was common, today we find integrative, family-centered approaches, charting a more humane, hopeful path forward. For example, for children born prematurely with increased likelihood of disability, increasing skin-to-skin contact – what is called “kangaroo care” – can literally reshape that child's brain development, she tells host Russ Altman on this episode of Stanford Engineering's The Future of Everything podcast.Have a question for Russ? Hey humans, on this episode, I talk with Kristen Genovese, CEO of Not My Kid, as part one of a two-part series discussing the critical intersection of mental health, the fentanyl crisis, and its impact on children and families. Kristen shares her extensive background in behavioral health and her journey to Not My Kid, emphasizing the organization's focus on prevention and early intervention. I am on the board of Not My Kid, and as those of you who know my background, this is a critical area of personal and professional focus for me, too. We discuss the evolving nature of the opioid crisis and the importance of adapting support systems to meet the changing needs of families. Our conversation gets into the challenges of addressing substance use and mental health issues, particularly in the context of generational trauma and the stigma surrounding these struggles. We talk in specific about connecting these resources both within communities and workplaces to go beyond conventional workplace resources like Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), which often fall short in providing adequate support. We also talk about "Not My Kid" celebrating its 25th anniversary and focusing on expanding its reach and impact in the next 25 years. They are developing a full continuum of care model that includes prevention, intervention, and treatment, as well as family navigation services. The organization is also adapting its approach to engage with parents and children in the digital age as well. Again, this is part one of two, and the next episode will further explore the mental health crisis and actionable steps for parents, grandparents, and employers to support children. A fresh new format featuring a coaching conversation with Host Matt Dixon and Co-Host Max Gering. This Valentine's Day, we explore how athletes can integrate sport into life in a way that strengthens relationships rather than strains them—because true performance isn't just about results, it's about the bigger picture. IRONMAN Master Coach Matt Dixon and Purple Patch Coach Max Gering discuss the importance of integrating sport into life sustainably, especially for athletes with busy schedules. They emphasize the need for effective training that fits within one's life, rather than overloading with long rides every weekend. They highlight the significance of communication with partners and family, planning together, and ensuring sport enhances life rather than compromising it. Practical tips include the "Sunday special" for reflection and planning, and making training a family activity. They stress that consistent, effective training over time leads to better performance and overall well-being, rather than focusing solely on training hours.
