This morning pastor Stacy Stafford brought a message from 2 Timothy 2:1-7 titled "Pass It On"
What actually matters when you're starting with chameleons? Not the nice-to-know stuff, but the fundamentals that determine whether you succeed or struggle. In this episode, I walk you through the six core priorities that will carry you through your first year, from setting up your cage before your chameleon arrives to finding an exotic vet NOW (not during an emergency). I'll also cover the most common beginning mistakes—the ones that cost you money, stress, and sometimes your chameleon's health. Things like bringing your chameleon home before the cage is ready, cutting corners on equipment to save money upfront, or adding too many chameleons too fast because the collector bug bites hard. This is Part 2 of our Stage 1 exploration. Whether you're brand new or mentoring beginners, this episode gives you the practical framework for navigating the learning stage successfully. Learn. Understand. Pass It On.

The growth of the early church was a grass roots effort -- individuals shared their faith story to others, who then passed it along down the line. The Apostle Paul wrote many letters encouraging those missionaries to continue to do so, despite difficult times. His final letter to Timothy is a challenging reminder that the world still needs to hear about Christ, and it's our responsibility to faithfully hand that message to others like a runner passes along a baton. Join Horizon at the Equipping services for PASS IT ON, as we go verse by verse through 2 Timothy.

Join us as Stacy Stafford preaches from Deuteronomy 6:1-9 with a title of "Pass It On."
This sermon emphasizes the importance of growing strong in God's grace through consistent time in His Word and prayer, then passing on what we receive to others through mentorship and evangelism. Drawing from 2 Timothy 2, it challenges believers to live with the discipline of a soldier, the integrity of an athlete, and the perseverance of a farmer as they share the Gospel. Ultimately, the message calls the church to become a "Pass It On" community, empowered by God to impact others and endure through trials.

In this teaching, Pastor Joe emphasizes the importance of passing faith to the next generation, focusing on three key points. First, How to Pass It On highlights the responsibility of each generation to actively listen and share God's teachings to ensure faith endures. Second, What to Share underscores the need to recount God's deeds, might, and wonders through personal and biblical stories of His faithfulness. Finally, Why It Matters reminds the audience that every child is a vital link in the chain of faith, stressing that families and churches are only one generation away from either thriving or closing, with the urgency of this mission framed by the fleeting nature of time.

We're excited to lean into our 14th principle on Sunday: Do Something to "Pass It On".
How did I get here? Why do I know what I know? Questions like these are important to ask and answer. There is probably a long list of people you know about and an even longer list you don't know about who impact what you've come to know and believe about the way the world works. That's why this principle is important. If we do not consider what and how to pass on what we've received, then it is doomed to be lost. So Principle #14 "Do something to Pass it On"
