Hi Anders Here, I have been in the background of my childhood friend Sven for a few years now in our business. I am doing this to put myself out there for all people like me who speak English with an accent and no training in recording themselves to get motivated and follow my example. I am one of t…
Today I am uploading my first edited episode. It has 3 stories. All of them start out in the same situation. The only difference how they are investing their time and money. 1st is the consumer. 2nd is the share holder. 3rd is the entrepreneur. I hope you enjoy the stories. Have a good one and remember that publishing is the way to be discovered if you are not yet known.
Hi, If you are like me starting out with a heavy accent. I got good News for you. Our client Dino Crawley is an American born English teacher working in Japan for many years. A few days ago I started using his product to learn how to speak English like an American. If you have listen to my early episodes yo will hear how bad my voice and accent were to start with. I will put out a link to his product as soon as it is launched here: Dino knows his stuff and he has a good voice. So if you like me are struggling with your accent and want to speak clearly, Dino is your man. Remember if I can start a podcast from nothing sounding really bad. (Listen to episode 1 if you do not believe me, it's a real shocker, I'm telling ya). So if I can get only you to follow my lead to get your message out there this podcast has been totally worth it. I love to assist action takers with advice or have you on our coaching program, with 2 coaches instead of one. (where I am the bonus coach).
The best way to master time is to find out what you are doing daily and improve it. I have studied business processes and leadership for 2 years so I know what I am talking about. So if you are looking for How to become more efficient this is the episode for you.
An introduction story that may change your view of sales. You will also get an Idea of basic marketing.
In this episode I will tell you why it is so important to see the whole picture rather than just tools. Gurus are telling all about magic headlines and magic phrases that get the sales done. This is not the whole truth. The best headlines are focusing on results your audience want to have. If you want to do even better is the results without doing what they hate. Example loose weight without exercising and eating your favourite food. And a sales letter telling them it is possible and how to do this without too much details. Of course you need to be able to deliver these results or you will go out of business fast. If you want to succeed in business, you need to be seen. And the easiest way to be seen and learning how to make offers become profitable is by publishing. By publishing you will get the benefits of being seen and getting better on podcast video or blogging.
Just because you are good or have a good Product will not make you succeed. If you are not publishing tou will remain in the shadow collecting dust. And I think that would be a shame.
Comeback to podcast after spending my time on seo on blogposts.
If you are like me, you are not yet getting through to people. The reason is lack of retorical skills and not being taught the right skills in school. If I can do this, so can you. You should also start publishing and learning to get across to people.
This episode is about taking action away from being miserable pleasing others. I also changed name on my podcast to getting yourself out there as I am more about helping people and this title resonates better with my personality. It is you and your flaws that makes you likeable and were chosen as a partner, not a facade and compliant shadow of yourself. This shadow is stealing your lifeforce and taking away the attraction in your relationship. So start being more you. If you have not offended anybody by noon each day, you are not being true to yourself enough. I am not meaning that you should be rude, but being yourself will divide people into fans and haters. Maybe you have a week when noone is offended, but the following monday have 8. Who cares, the most important is that you start liking being you again. And making podcasts gives you practise of doing so without anybody stopping you finding yourself and your voice. The best is that you can do it everyday whenever you got time till you reach your core personality. So do not wait, start publishing your podcast today...
Yes, I know that I should do this daily. What you learn from my mistake is Keep publishing or your voice and character will begin to go back to zero. If I can come back doing an embarrassing episode and publish it, you can start. I hope you follow my lead and to hear from you soon.
Have you ever regretted not doing something that you really wanted to because of fear? I have, and let me tell you it made me feel small and unworthy. On the other hand I never regretted doing what I really wanted. Most of my best memories and decisions has been facing and overcoming my fears. Both the resultat and boost of confidence makes me feel great. Even if your first podcast would make you want to hide under the table in embaressment, people will respect you for your courage. And remember ”the mess you are in becomes your message” is what Stephen Larsen says and he is so right. So never let fear stop you...
In marketing we work when we want to, we just finished a workweekend as we are relaunching our ”Done for you solution” that is now a business in a box. Remember to follow my lead and publish no matter How you sound on podcast. If I can do it so can you... have a good one
By putting your money in shares in the stockmarket,& by mailing the list that you build collecting emails before they see you offer... -you are making your money you are investing give you money back as commisions (shares) or in sales (mailing offers to your list). When it comes to time it works the same. -talking to someone is like spending money that you earn on consumption and result in that you can not use this time again. (I love talking to my friends, but I do not like explaining the same things 100 times over and over again). The solution is to create a timeflow which is basically publish a podcast, blogpost etc about it. Yes, by doing so you can point people asking this question to what you have published and save you the time explaining it. I hope this advice helps you take the decision to start putting yourself out there and follow my lead. Thank you and see you soon
If you are sick of getting problems with your pages when the plug-in you are using upgrades. If you do not want to spend 1000:s on webdesigner. If you are a webdesigner who want to stay in business. Listen to this episode and find out How to best leverage your skills when techskills are no longer needed to make a website. Yes, you still have PS and your eye for design to work with, but How you work will change.
Do not try doing more than 1 business at the time. So when your first business gives you more money back than you put in you may create your next one. And last A warning for get rich quick, money for almost no work is called payed traffic. If you want it easier go to Vegas or Online casino (the odds are against you here big time at casinos though...)
I love helping others and seeing people succeed and learn give me great pleasure. I would be so proud and pleased if I one day saw one of my students surpass me and reach the absolute top. I hope to inspire you to go out of your comfort Zone and getting your message out there. Teaching and seeing your students learn is great. I have taught math as a homework helper and basic ju-jutsu before going online so I know. Remember if I can put myself out there so can you.
This episode is taken from a blogpost i did a while ago on Marketing with Sven. He will probably do a better more in depth recording of it soon. But until then I love sharing it with you. Remember if I can do this so can you, you just need to sign up and start making your own podcast.
Hi there, I have had 1 week with no podcasting, even though I promised 1 episode a day. I have a valid reason though. Since last episode I have recorded 13 modules of How to become successful online that is part 2 out of 3 in a Product that me and my businesspartner are doing. And that is why, even though I have no manuscript have improved my voice so much since last episode. Remember if I can do this so can you. I hope you enjoyed this episode and see you again tomorrow
This episode is all about inspiration, it is about Heptathlon world championship 2005 in Helsinki and Carolina Klüft winning with a twisted ankle. I am so emotional about it because I am truely touched by this story. My message is just go out and reach for your goals, if my podcast and this story can make you reach for success it has been totally worth it. I hope that I will be helping you reaching your goals when you are ready. Thank you for listening
This mail I wrote today that I used as an outline for today´s episode: Are you also a visual learner, not sure if podcasting is for you. I used to do so as well… Is everything coming out a mess when you try to explain things without pictures or paper. How is it possible to make presentations without screwing up? If you are podcasting it is easy. Write a mail like this one and use as a template for your next episode. All blogposts that you have made are prime material for a podcast. If you are performing live on Facebook or other platforms, have the outline of your material in a powerpoint/keynote or similar program at you screen while you are on camera. Have a mouse in your hand to change slides. And be close to the camera and look at your audience and you will be fine. Best part of it is, the outline makes sure that you never get lost. But to do so, you need to get yourself out there. The first few tries on podcasting will be horrible, but that is good. If you start out being to good it will feel unauthentic. So follow my example and put yourself out there. If a swede with a heavy accent and no prior training being on air can do this… So can you… I hope to see as many of you as possible following my example. If you can help just one person it will be totally worth it.
Tell them what got you exited about it i. The first place, not the technical stuff that you learnt from spending months reading about the subject to become an expert. I got exited about marketing when I saw How it can be used to help people get what they need by listening to what they want and asking good questions. I also found it cool that letting people try out things makes them decide by themselves to buy. It was also fascinating hearing How a brand even if it was not better can outsell someone else because of the name they have built. Eg Coke vs Pepsi and so on.
This is my story of How I started marketing after an unsuccessful career in engineering, not getting where I wanted. I am studying half speed at distance quality- and leadership development to increase the value I can give people starting their business online. I hope that you start now and not wait 3 years like I did before putting yourselves out there. If I can help one person become successful following my example this podcast has been totally worth it...
This episode is about presenting your offer to increase the perceived value. One easy way to increase the perceived value of a car is future pacing. This is a fancy way of saying, let the person who is out looking for a new car go for a test drive. When driving the car, you will start noticing how it feels, smells and putting yourself in the position of owning it. And if you already have a car and like this one even more than your old one. This test drive may result in you buying is after realising how much better it fells than your old car. Another good example is animal rescue. You are going there to find a pet say a dog. So you find a cute one and they let you take him home. If your experience is not a disaster, and your kids and wife absolutely adores the dog. There is no way that you are taking the dog back. You have bonded with it, and now started to feel how your life would be like as a dog owner. In other words, it is highly unlikely that this dog is returning to animal rescue again. I can tell you that selling physical products is way easier than digital ones due to this fact. The reason is future pacing, knowing that the book that you really want to read is on its way to your door, trying on clothes you like in before buying them is also a good example. This is the reason that, if you are selling a digital product, make a cover for it to display on the page where you promoting and selling it. Do not make it yourself unless you are really talented with graphic design. Buying in on fiverr or going to freelancer using contest mode would drastically increase the perceived value of what you are selling. Remember, I started my podcast journey 9 days ago, I have a heavy accent and audio is not my best media. But I want to make the point, that anybody willing to help other people can and SHOULD put themselves out there in podcasts, blogs or live on video. I hope to inspire people to follow my footsteps, and that you will reach out to me if you want help to get your business up and running. I have learnt theory of internet marketing for 3 years now so I know what a marketer should do, and now I am finally getting better at applying what I know and putting all these techniques into practice and it is a really cool journey. That all for today, thank you for listening
If your offer is good and you send high quality traffic most of the will buy the offer, or at least opt in and buy it later. If the offer is bad, you will pay more for the traffic than you get in return. It is either the offer, the traffic or the story that is the reason if the offer is not converting. You want to have your best offer or product first. Say you have a store people go to before they go camping, presuming they already have a tent/mobile home or caravan. But they need to get food and cook it. A bad idea would be trying to sell the hotdogs first. A much better way to start is to ask them what grill they need, than go to charcoal, things needed to start a fire with the charcoal, accessories to flip burgers or hotdogs and finally bread and ketchup. So this is the end of today´s podcast, I hope that my terrible accent will inspire more people to follow my lead, Put yourself out there, people would rather hear your stories than about native speaking gurus talking about their pay checks... And if people can find you, they can get help and inspiration from you, and that is not possible if you are not podcasting or putting yourself out there in other ways.
If you have the same product, containing the same information, how it is presented matters. You can pay $90 for a video course, but only pay $27 if it is as an audio or $15 including shipping to Europe from the US for a book. Yes, you are getting the same information (unless stating otherwise) for different price. Even if it is a digital product, how you present it matters. If you have no cover or a bad looking one for the product it will not sell. Having a cover designed that looks like covers of a book or casing of a DVD or a computer program increase the perceived value a lot. You may also put in a tutorial for free, if you had a hard time learning to use the product. This would give you an advantage compared to the others having the same offer. A god way to increase perceived value is to add a physical product to your offer, it could be a cup or a T-shirt that is related to the product. By doing so the person buying from you would feel that his value just skyrocketed compared to just getting a digital product. As you may notice I am way better at writing than talking. I have been in the background doing blogpost and other thing for Sven, but podcasting is new and awkward for me to do. My point is, put yourself out there, you can not be any worse on air than I am. Believe in yourself, and have a nice day
The three mayor industries are Health. Wealth and Relationships. Internet marketing, making money online is the wealth industry. A few steps down from these three for example wealth-internet marketing-internet marketing using paid advertising, the last in the chain is known as a niche. Going one step down for example doing affiliate marketing using paid ads is a sub-niche. When it comes to products, they are the hero of what you put out there. But focusing on the hero puts you in the price game. So with the smallest margin you can be the cheapest and live miserably even though you are selling good. Being the second cheapest is a waste of time, might as well be the most expensive. But if you have some other things around the product you get a dramatic change. Nobody would by a white nondescript used white cup for $10-20. But if you would get a cup of tea/coffee together with a big serving my popular Swedish Browny/chocolate cake (kladdkaka) served with fresh raspberries and whipped cream served at a table with candlelights the price would be a bargain for that same cup. So what I just did was added value to the cup, making both me and the one buying it happy. We got a deal where both come out feeling like they won. That is marketing for me. This is my lesson from 30days challenge from today. Remember, if an engineer that can´t do multitasking and because of that failed working in labs as an engineer and get good references can do this, and on top of that is studying leadership and business processes while doing marketing because he thought marketing was not enough. You can do this as well. Hearing myself presenting so bad on audio is awkward for me, but I want to evolve and inspire others to do the same.
I have known the difference of marketing and sales in my heart for a long time now, but not been able to put it into words. I am doing this episode to help all the people getting this wrong as they start out in marketing. Marketing can be seen as the road that starts when the customer discover the offer til customer satisfaction after buying. So marketing takes the mindset of the customer on a journey, a story after which he/she has tested out the message in the story and decided, wow I gotta have this. A good marketer sees that what the consumer gets is what they want and solves all the troubles the product itself causes. Sales is the transport along the road made up by the marketer. So a salesman uses the message and offer generated by the marketer to make a sale. If the marketer is good, everybody can become a great salesman as the deal is a no-brainer. People selling over the phone are called telemarketers. The reason is, many times the marketer has done a poor job, or the script is not right for the one using it. So people who have been successful telemarketers, change the script and do marketing when they are on the phone. My friend Sven before going online is a great example of this. I want to share a short story to share a point of "stop saving pennies" As it happens I was in Kyoto, Japan a few years ago. I was out watching these beautiful temples and after that I was continuing with philosophers walk (or path). When the philosopher walked it, he was bathing in sun, the cherry blossom where awesome and he was content. My walk was a bit different, The day when I was looking at temples and doing the walk was in the wake of a monsoon, and it was raining heavily. I was all dressed up in Gore-tex, had an umbrella this day. The sky was steel grey and reflected gloomily in the river I was walking along. Being in the autumn (october) there was no cherry blossom and it was windy. I was hoping to see why this path was famous or see some cool things. In the end of it I was more than an hour away from town and was hoping to see a taxi. I would love to pay money get back to the center. Looking back I should have turned on the internet, found a taxi company and called them. But instead I walked hoping to find a transport on the way. So the message is, do not be like I was, saving $50 and loosing hours of valuable time that I could enjoy my vacation. The value of the 2 hours i lost was way more than that. So if you are learning things you hate, spending time doing things you are not good at. You are better off paying someone to do it and focus on what you do best. And same goes from learning marketing. You can do it paying almost nothing, but the time it takes is long. Getting a coach can cut this time drastically, yes it costs, but what you get in return is months or years less struggling. Time that you could be in business instead of struggling.
If you think that you need a break through product to succeed is wrong. If the market is not ready for it, you will not be able to sell it. So revolutionary products need great marketers. A smarter solution is to find something that already sells and see what you think the product is missing. You may either model the outline, not copy! How are they selling the product to you and what ads are they using? and go make a better one. Or you can make a bonus product that you sell together with the original product. So buy the product and try it out, not for one hour, but give it your best shot. If it does not work or is a scam, use PayPal to get refund. If you think sales happens without doing nothing, grow up. In order to do Internet marketing, YOU NEED TO LEARN and APPLY MARKETING. If you not, go to an online casino or vegas. I have not seen a successful online butlering service yet... In marketing you need to be able to tell good stories, to get the outline, watch a Disney movie if you want something to use as a model on how to write it. When you start out online, be careful of who you listen to. If they are afraid of trying new things or trying to protect you, you know that they are good people. But nobody I know so far has become successful doing what everyone else does. You do not ask someone who is broke about how to become rich. And you do not ask a person who do not know sales or marketing online to teach you how to market. Choose to be coached of someone who is teaching at your level, where you are at the moment. I just started doing podcasts and have learnt much the last few days on 30days OFA challenge. If I an engineer who failed in doing a career of it and fell in love with marketing can do this, so can you.
Hi Anders here, this episode is about asking the question who instead of how. Think about designing your logo for example, you may learn it and do it in 10 hours. You will probably get a mediocre result. Or you hire a pro online who does it for $40-70 and use your time to do something else. Hey do it yourself $7 an hour, I am not working for anyone at that price. Moreover, the time you spend on your logo could be used to do something that gives better return of investment in your time. You can think of the example of getting a contractor to make a house. He knows how to get the things done, but he still hires people to do the electricity, plumbing, making the foundation and so on. He has outsourced it to people who does a better job at it than him. He just knows and hires the right people and get everything together. I am way better for example on explaining with text than talking. I describe mailing list as postboxes offline, and you usually get ads every week with offers in your mailbox. This can result of you going to their place to do for example groceries. In the online case, people give up their email if they are interested enough to want to see your offer. And by mailing them you can increase the chance of the buying the offer. It also saves the person the time to look for you again. Moreover you can remind them if they get distracted and forget you, and makes them seeing you again much more likely. Not building a list in internet marketing is like drilling a hole in the fuel tank is an episode that I wrote the script for. I hope you enjoyed today's episode and see that you can do this as well. See you soon
This episode is to show you how I use my shortcomings to motivate myself. The power of learning from failure and using the frustration of shortcomings to work harder to get to where I want to be. It propels me like rocket fuel to get the things done. Putting the episodes up here while I am doing the 30day One Funnel Away Challenge is really awkward for me. But I am doing this to show that imperfect action is better than perfect inaction. Failure is how you learn things, embrace it and when you hit an obstacle, you know that you are on the right way. Yes, obstacles shows you that you are treading the ground that most people avoid. You have, friends, other people, google and YouTube so you can always find ways around your obstacles. I hope that my story inspire you to follow my footsteps and that by doing so you will create your own success.
My background online. I hope my story would inspire more engineers who are not getting the exciting jobs they hope for listen to this. I also hope that people who speak English with an accent like me, who are afraid to put themselves out there get inspired by me and dare to follow my path. Yes I am not trained at speaking on podcasts, listen if you do not believe me. I started online because I do not belong in a lab and to work with my childhood friend Sven. I have done work in the background for a few years in his company, including many blogposts. But even if I know a lot about marketing, I am still struggling with podcasting and building my name online. I am just starting 30 days of concentrated work to become better at this, but it is only the beginning of my journey in podcasting, I want to show you that anybody who wants to help people reaching success can do this, no matter how bad your first episode sounds...
