Happy Valentine's Day! Sorry I've been absent with uploading for many months. This mix was recorded and streamed live on Mixcloud Live last night. Mixcloud Live is a lot more difficult to get to from Facebook but mixes over there never get blocked. Perhaps I'll be doing more live mixes there and posting the recordings here as well. In any case, I actually haven't been DJing for months too so I'm way out of practice. Apologise in advance for the messy mixing. This long, almost two hour mix, is all disco from the 70's to the 90's. There's a pretty long Swing section in there too in case you're into that. I was actually surprised that this channel is still getting about 700-1000 plays a month even since I stopped uploading new tracks. January had over 1000 plays, which is about the same as when I was uploading mixes twice a week. So thanks to all for your support and hope you enjoy this mix.

Our mix today moves away from the disco dance floor and into New Wave. I grew up listening to this stuff during the late 80s though I admit that I don't know the music very well. I actually don't mix this genre at all and this is my first attempt at a New Wave mixtape but I hope you all enjoy anyway.

Sometime around 2000, I used to hang out in this club called Venezia in Manila. I was in school back then and the dorm was about three blocks away from the club, so we were there about three times a week. Tracks from the club played a huge influence in my sound as a DJ and these were the some of the first tracks I collected when I was just starting out. This mix has the timeless club vibe featuring Daft Punk, Chicane, Black Legend, and other classics.

Its time to go back to the 80's! I made this retro mix over 10 years ago so we have a double dose of retro this time around.
