"Poetin zegt dat de oorlog wordt gewonnen door leraren, want het kweken van die moraal begint bij het opvoeden van kinderen. Dat is dodelijk beangstigend", zegt Sjirk Kuijper, journalist bij het Nederlands Dagblad. Ook Marc Veeningen, hoofdredacteur Nieuws bij Talpa, vindt het zorgelijk. "Deze kinderen worden niet opgevoed als autonome denkers." Daarom vindt hij het ook belangrijk dat deze documentaire gemaakt is. UTXO vs account-based blockchains have fundamentally different architectures - Cardano uses an extended UTXO model (like Bitcoin but with smart contracts) where transactions consume existing UTXOs and create new ones, keeping the ledger lean. Ethereum uses account-based ledgers that store persistent state, leading to much larger data requirements over time and making it increasingly difficult for individuals to sync and maintain full nodes independently.5. True interoperability differs fundamentally from bridging - Real blockchain interoperability means being able to send assets directly between different blockchains (like sending ADA to a Bitcoin wallet) without intermediaries. This is possible between UTXO-based chains like Cardano and Bitcoin. Bridges, in contrast, require centralized entities to listen for transactions on one chain and trigger corresponding actions on another, introducing centralization risks.6. Mesh networks need economic incentives for sustainable infrastructure - While technologies like LoRa and Meshtastic enable impressive decentralized communication networks, the challenge lies in incentivizing people to maintain the hardware infrastructure. Mike sees potential in combining blockchain-based rewards (like earning ADA for running mesh network nodes) with existing decentralized communication protocols to create self-sustaining networks.7. Mass adoption comes through abstraction, not education - Rather than trying to educate everyone about blockchain technology, mass adoption will happen when developers can build applications on decentralized infrastructure that users interact with seamlessly, without needing to understand the underlying blockchain mechanics. Users should be able to benefit from decentralization through well-designed interfaces that abstract away the complexity of wallets, addresses, and consensus mechanisms.

Hej, w ostatnim odcinku w 2025 roku postanowiłem poruszyć temat społeczno-obyczajowy w powojennej historii Polski. Po wojnie ogromna część społeczeństwa żyła w stanie głębokiej traumy. Tymczasem jedną z najczęstszych form ucieczki od problemów i dramatycznych wspomnień był alkohol. Co znamienne — mimo powszechnych braków towarów, alkoholu nigdy nie brakowało.Powstawały nielegalne bimbrownie, a osoby zajmujące się tym procederem pozostawały często nieuchwytne dla służb. Bywało, że aparat państwowy nie tylko przymykał na to oko, ale wręcz wchodził w nieformalne układy. W alkoholowym nałogu tonęli również funkcjonariusze milicji.Władze PRL doskonale zdawały sobie sprawę ze skali problemu. Propaganda jednak skutecznie go ukrywała, a rządzący latami ignorowali niewygodne fakty. Stefan Lassnig spricht mit Luis Paulitsch von der "DATUM-Stiftung" und Autor eines Buchs über alternative Medien über Definition, Geschichte und demokratiepolitische Bedeutung von sogenannten "alternativen Medien". Historisch reichen alternative Medien von Flugschriften der Reformation über linke Studierenden-, Frauen- und Umweltbewegungen bis zu heutigen digitalen Angeboten, die eine Gegenöffentlichkeit zum Mainstream beanspruchen. Heute sind viele dieser Projekte eng mit rechtspopulistischen oder rechtsextremen Milieus vernetzt, nutzen Social Media, um Empörung zu schüren, Verschwörungsnarrative zu verbreiten und Reichweite über ihre eigentliche Szene hinaus zu erzielen.  Paulitsch unterscheidet zwischen demokratiebereichernden Alternativmedien, die Lücken im Mediensystem schließen, und Propagandamedien, die Desinformation verbreiten und medienethische Standards missachten. Ein von ihm mitentwickelter Kriterienkatalog (u.a. Bekenntnis zu Rechtsstaat, Grundrechten, Fehlerkultur, Transparenz von Eigentum und Finanzierung) soll helfen, förderwürdigen Journalismus von politisch motivierten Kampagnenmedien zu trennen. Anhand von Beispielen wie Exxpress und Njus werden Fragen nach Finanzierung, Oligarchisierung der Medienlandschaft, Nähe zu Parteien und ausländischem Einfluss (etwa aus Russland) diskutiert. Kritisiert wird auch, dass etablierte Medien propagandistische Projekte und ihre Geldflüsse lange zu wenig investigativ beobachtet haben, obwohl diese im digitalen Raum mittels Vernetzung und koordinierter Kampagnen Agenda Setting betreiben. And here's the catch: when it is chosen, it is liberating. It's clarifying, and as the quote above acknowledges, it is life-elevating. What solitude, regularly savored, gives us is the life we say we want, but either haven't yet realized or haven't yet trusted to be dependable in what it gives us. As we'll talk about further along in our post today, part of the reason those of us who already do enjoy our solitude, however much or little we have, may doubt the nourishment is because our culture doesn't value it or speak about it in as praising terms as it does social activities and living situations. Words are powerful. Propaganda, persuasive marketing, it all involves words, and how we speak about what is valued, when heard often enough, will influence our trust in what is possible, what we are willing to be brave enough to explore, even with all of the unknowns.
