Racism is much broader than individual remarks and behaviours. We owe it to ourselves to understand racism in a new way.

Storge, philia, epithymia, eros, agape . . . so many words for love so why did the early Christian believers choose agape?
Liz continues the sermon series on the love of God with a look at God's love in the book of Romans.
The beginning of this sermon did not get recorded, but you can download the sermon notes from the entire sermon at our website.
Our Vision Prayer for 2020 is one that caught us all by surprise - the prayer of Jabez? Really? Yup . . . for reals. Watch or listen and let us know what you think.
WHAT WE BELIEVE – We trust in God. We believe in God. We are sustained by God. HOW WE BEHAVE – We do everything for ourselves. We trust in ourselves. We are anxious about whether God will provide.
Many of us want this year to be better than last year. We start off with good intentions by making commitments to improve but we inevitably end up not following through. There has to be a better way, right? A perfect year may be impossible, but a better year is possible.
Jesus is the Light of the World and darkness will never overcome the light. Is there any darkness in your life? Let Jesus bring you hope.
The BIBLE is "Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth"? Let's think about that one because most of the Bible is made up of stories.
The B-I-B-L-E, YES THAT'S THE BOOK FOR ME . . . but is it, really? If it is, then why? Maybe the Bible is not your book anymore. You tossed it out as matured. Why do we need the Bible? Listen and learn.
Do you ever consider that your prayers aren’t answered because of some sort of angelic interference? Or when a child is molested, a baby born with defects, or when people reject the gospel, or an elderly person is attacked and beaten by a gang of teenagers do you ever consider that it might be because of the presence of a menacing presence of an evil prince over a region?

For more than half of those who have wrestled with doubt (53%), the time spent asking honest questions about what they believe about their religion or God made their faith stronger.
**This is only a summary of the June 30, 2019 sermon** Can Christians smoke weed? Does the Bible say anything about marijuana? Is it the same as alcohol?
The Trinity is the most distinctive doctrine of Christianity – it distinguishes Christianity from other monotheistic faiths such as Judaism and Islam. • The Trinity is often misunderstood, but if we want to know God better, we need to learn about the Trinity.

Why is the Ascension of Our Lord an integral part of our everyday faith?
In this sermon series we are celebrating the risen Christ by looking at Jesus’ death as a sacrifice. Thinking about Jesus’ death can make us feel squeamish because of all the blood that is involved with sacrifices. Or, maybe the whole concept of sacrifice feels barbaric to you so it may be hard to except his sacrifice or to want any part of it. But Jesus’ death is life changing for us. This series will help us move beyond a narrow view of Jesus’ death by looking at four aspects of his sacrifice. Our hope is that you will see how Jesus’ death can change your life.

At first, Paul's letter to Philemon sound very comforting to us today. But there is one element about this letter that is guaranteed to make all of us feel very uncomfortable.
How is this letter to Philemon such a powerful letter? What do we learn about living out the gospel in our day and age from this short letter? "There is no better summary statement of the theology of Paul at work in this letter." Scot McKnight

"But is anger really a sin? What about Ephesians 4:26?" "God gets angry, doesn't he? And Jesus, too! So . . . it's OK if we get angry sometimes too, right?"
The very word “sin,” which seems to have disappeared, was once a proud word. It was once a strong word, an ominous and serious word. . . . But the word went away. It has almost disappeared—the word, along with the notion. Why? Doesn’t anyone sin anymore? Doesn’t anyone believe in sin? – Karl Menninger We know the world isn't the way it's supposed to be. But do we also know we are partly to blame for that? What is the problem? What is the remedy?
