I recorded this a few weeks ago, my dog is in perfect health now, don't worry! Also, when I recorded this I had no idea where I would be sharing these, so you'll hear me talking about keeping these on Patreon at the beginning. I have been posting these as I make them on Patreon first, but based on the encouragement many of you gave on the first video, I want to share some more publicly! An experimental video. I have a few of these, but I'm sharing this one because I'm curious if you all feel stuff like this fits on the main channel, or if it should be on a separate channel. I have to admit that as of right now, I don't think these belong here, so for now I am keeping these talks on Patreon so I can experiment more freely. Based on feedback there and here, I will eventually release these publicly somewhere, at some point, but I don't know where. If you're interested, there's two more videos in this series already available on my Patreon, you can find them in the collection called "The Deep End". --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/steven-zapata/message

The Path of Art: The Four Stages

In this first episode we begin by revealing the final secret of art and use it as a basis to explain the four stages of the art path- beginner, intermediate, advanced, and master. We make a distinction between these experiential stages and traditional “merit based” stages. Then I put all my cards on the table and talk about how weird art is, how much I love it, and let myself sound absolutely crazy. Which I am. Good thing to get out there and out of the way.
