Earlier this year, the University of Chicago Alumni Association recognized Chicago Harris alumnus Sandeep Ahuja, MPP’06, for his efforts to address the global pandemic of tuberculosis. Ahuja cofounded Operation ASHA, a nonprofit that provides services to more than 6 million people. OpASHA, which uses methods involving community-based centers and innovative tracking of patients, was named a model program by the Stop TB Partnership, a World Health Organization affiliate.
