David Baker CFO of Elemental Altus Royalties (TSX.V:ELE) (OTCQX:ELEMF), joins me to review the key takeaways from the Q4 and full year 2024 financials, including record quarterly and annual revenues and cash flows, marking their seventh consecutive year of revenue growth. We also review the outlook for 2025, the addition of a new board member, and then dig into some updates for ongoing growth at key royalty partner operations. Preliminary Financial Highlights for Q4 and Full Year 2024 Results: Record preliminary adjusted 2024 revenue of US$21.6 million (+21% vs 2023) comprised of: US$16.3 million attributable royalty revenue; and US$5.3 million attributable revenue from the Caserones copper mine Record preliminary adjusted Q4 revenue of US$6.8 million (+21% vs Q4 2023) comprised of: US$5.5 million attributable royalty revenue; and US$1.3 million attributable revenue from the Caserones copper mine Dave breaks down the financial strength of the company, and the leverage of it's balance sheet to rising production and revenues in a higher metals price environment. We also review the growth via per-share metrics in 2024, and in particular look ahead to full-year 2025 gold equivalent ounce growth to a projected record 11,600 - 13,200 GEOs, augmented now from Allied Gold's Korali-Sud (formerly named Diba) asset, and the increased production from the assets acquired from AlphaStream Limited last year. He also highlighted with the roughly $6 million in cash on hand, the expected revenues over $30 million this year, a number of additional incoming one-off payments in H1, and the $50 million credit facility on hand, that the company is in a great position to keep reviewing acquisition transactions in the year to come. Next we touched upon the recently announced addition to the Board of Directors, bringing in Sandeep Singh, who has extensive experience in the mining and royalty sector. Sandeep is currently President and CEO of Western Copper and Gold. Prior to this, he was President and CEO of Osisko Gold Royalties, where he successfully led its strategic turnaround, after having spent 15 years as an investment banker specializing in the North American metals and mining sector. Wrapping up we cover some of the anticipated growth of the projects at their key cornerstone royalty assets: Caserones, Karlawinda, Korali-Sud, and Bonikro. Dave anticipates that all these assets are set to perform well and keep expanding and growing ounces and pounds in the year to come. The mission now for the team at Elemental Altus this year, now that the company has paid off all their remaining debt, is to keep looking for royalties on long-dated quality projects with quality partners where they can execute accretive transactions. If you have any follow up questions for Dave regarding Elemental Altus Royalties, then please email them to me at Shad@kereport.com. In full disclosure, Shad is a shareholder of Elemental Altus Royalties at the time of this recording. Click here to view recent news on the Elemental Altus Royalties website

Have you ever wondered how technology could help solve the growing challenges in the UK's water industry? With increasing cost pressures and rising consumer demands, the water sector is at a critical juncture. In this episode of Tech Talks Daily, I'm joined by Sandeep Bhattarai, Utilities Value Advisor at SAP UKI, to explore how digital solutions can help water companies navigate these turbulent times. SAP's latest research reveals that 34% of water company leaders are grappling with challenging cost pressures, with 94% believing that investment must rise to meet customer expectations. Sandeep shares his insights into the root causes of these financial strains and how a lack of digital infrastructure is slowing progress. He explains how technology adoption, or the lack thereof, is impacting the industry's ability to meet the stringent requirements of AMP8, a five-year regulatory framework starting in 2025. As we unpack the complexities of the water network, Sandeep highlights how digital transformation can streamline operations, reduce inefficiencies, and improve service delivery. But can technology truly be a silver bullet? Sandeep addresses this question head-on, offering practical solutions for overcoming the skills gaps, operational silos, and knowledge barriers that continue to hinder digital adoption. Looking ahead, we discuss what the future holds for the UK water industry post-AMP8. Will the sector embrace the digital revolution required to meet evolving demands? How can leaders harness technology to ensure sustainable growth and customer satisfaction? Tune in to this insightful conversation and share your thoughts—what role do you think technology should play in shaping the future of water services?

In this episode, I speak with Sandeep Farias, co-founder and managing director of Elevar Equity. If I wanted to describe Sandeep in one sentence, I'd probably say he's a nomadic child of India's landscapes who became an impact investing titan. His early life was shaped by his father's multiple assignments in the State Bank of India. From spending time in the mountains of Mount Abu to the chaos of Bangalore, he found a unique perspective on adaptability and resilience. In our conversation, Sandeep openly talks about the beginnings of his career, where he went from fixing bicycles to working in a garment factory. These early hands-on experiences, together with his academic journey in law, uniquely prepared him for a not-so-conventional path.Sandeep graduated from the prestigious National Law School of India University in Bangalore and started a legal career with stints at top Indian law firms. His rapid ascent in the legal world led him to Nishith Desai Associates, where he led the corporate law practice – a pretty meteoric rise for someone just four years out of law school. This position smoothly transitioned him into impact investing.During the 2008 financial crisis, Sandeep took a monumental leap, leaving behind a promising legal career to start Elevar Equity with a clear-cut mission: to drive change and profits by investing in communities often ignored by traditional finance.Unlike many in the space, Elevar focuses not on the bottom of the pyramid but on a segment that has progressed economically yet remains underserved. This strategic pivot places Elevar in a league distinct from microfinance entities like BlueOrchard and ResponsAbility (featured in previous episodes of the podcast). Elevar is not debt-focused. Instead, it opts to provide equity to these emerging communities.Over the past 15 years, Elevar has expanded beyond microfinance into broader financial services, education, and healthcare, scaled over 50 companies, and supported more than 50 million 'entrepreneurial households'.Tune in to hear how Elevar's targeted focus on underbanked yet economically progressing communities has reshaped impact investing, distinguishing its approach from both mainstream venture capital and typical microfinance institutions.—Connect with SRI360°:Sign up for the free weekly email updateVisit the SRI360° PODCASTVisit the SRI360° WEBSITEFollow SRI360° on XFollow SRI360° on FACEBOOK—Key Takeaways:Intro (00:00)Sandeep's nomadic upbringing (03:25)Career path and transition to impact investing (14:44)Founding of Elevar Equity (26:26)The concept of entrepreneurial households (41:25)The Elevar Method: Investment approach and process (45:02)The importance of field immersion for investment strategy (51:42)Driving customer-centric impact through innovation (01:01:34)Challenges in measuring impact (01:10:49)Scaling the Elevar Method (01:13:45)Rapid fire questions (01:21:27)Contact details (01:25:15)—Additional Resources:Sandeep Farias LinkedInElevar Equity WebsiteElevar Equity LinkedInBlueOrchardresponsAbility

Prior to the New Deal, millions of rural Americans were quite literally living in the dark. Though electricity had been available for decades, it was out of reach for most living in America's countryside post-World War I. That all changed within a decade. President Franklin D. Roosevelt's approach to the power sector during the Great Depression transformed electrification and public utilities on rural life and dramatically modernized the American home throught the nation. In his new book, Democracy In Power, A History of Electrification in the United States, Sandeep Vaheesan explores the rapid economic and social changes brought about by the New Deal through initiatives like the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and Rural Electrification Act and argues that many lessons from the era are relevant today's push for climate action. Sandeep joins the show this week to explain how public competition in the 20th century stimulated power consumption and improved living standards in America. He explains why Americans were ready for change during the New Deal era, how federal initiatives would later power wartime efforts, and how decisions during FDR's presidency still impact the current landscape of public and cooperative utilities. We also explore the racial and gender inequality of the era and how many New Deal programs exacerbated injustices. Finally, Sandeep argues for public leadership in achieving decarbonization targets while ensuring democratic principles in power management. Sandeep Vaheesan is the legal director at the Open Markets Institute. He leads their legal research and advocacy, including the amicus program. Welcome to another episode of The Cricket Slouch.Sandeep once again hosts this week's episode and he is joined by the regular duo of Shounak and Ajit to discuss the series finale of the BGT at Sydney, a test match that was done within 3 days on a spicy deck. A lot of What If's plague the fans and management alike, but there are bigger questions to be asked, and answered here.Such as the fate of seniors like Rohit, Kohli, Jadeja and Rahul, what the spin dept will look like, which pacers need to be given a chance, and the composition for the England tour. A spotlight is also shone upon Gambhir's role and whilst it is early, is he the right person to be the head coach?Australia take the plaudits here, but was this a really good cricket series and where does the new plan to have a 2-tier system fit in if the Big Three are the only ones in the top tier? This and much more in this episode !

Welcome to another episode of The Cricket Slouch. Sandeep hosts this week's episode and he has captained the team much better than Rohit in recent times. He is joined by the regular duo of Shounak and Ajit to discuss the fantastic test match that we have witnessed at the MCG where fortunes fluctuated and wobbled more than a Pat Cummins' wobble ball !We talk about the dramatic finish in the last hour of the game, how Australia forced a victory in what appeared to be a match heading to a draw, Pant's shot selection, Rohit's captaincy and his poor form along with that of Kohli, Jaiswal's controversial dismissal, Kohli's joust with Konstas, the Rise of Reddy and finally the possible Playing XI for the final test at Sydney. Sit back and enjoy !
"When I first heard the ticking of the traffic light in the field recording, I instantly recognized its potential and shared it with my bandmates, Sandeep and Darren. We decided to use it as the rhythm section's backbeat and composed guitar and bass parts around it. "It's amazing how this traffic light in Greece uses various sounds to guide pedestrians, including a female voice instructing them to wait or cross safely. "Inspired by the idea of representing 'change' musically, we composed a dynamic track with four distinct sections, transitioning between them in both smooth and abrupt ways. The track evolves gradually, beginning with a field recording and muted arpeggiated synth before building into a full band with acoustic guitar, bass, and drums. It transitions to a quiet bridge that draws the listener in, followed by an intense section with wailing electric guitars, sawtooth synth leads, distorted bass, louder drums, and a fast-ticking rhythm from the field recording, amplifying the chaos. This climactic section fades into a serene piano piece by Samantha, mirrored by Sandeep on guitar and accompanied by Darren, playing chords on his bass guitar. "With each listen, the song reveals a new story of our friendship — born over a decade ago, tested by ups and downs, but ultimately strengthened into a lasting bond. This project brought us back to the studio after a long break, creating music and memories alike." Athens traffic light reimagined by Matsya.

Tammy Morales has announced she's quitting the city council in January. She accused some colleagues of treating her very poorly and also told Erica she sees no point in continuing because she can't make any progress whatsoever passing progressive legislation with the current, more centrist council. Is the current council toxic? Is Morales right to quit? Is she abandoning her progressives allies? We take a closer look at these questions, and speculate on the fallout from the move in 2025. As our regular listeners might expect, Erica sides with Morales, Sandeep is less sympathetic, and David questions the consistency of both. Our editor is Quinn Waller. Send us a text! In this deeply moving and insightful episode of Gratitude Through Hard Times, host Chris Schembra engages in a heartfelt conversation with Sandeep Angra, Chief Information and Technology Officer (CIO/CTO) of the 40,000 person strong company, Unifi, the largest airport ground-handling company in North America and Europe. With over three decades of IT leadership experience spanning various industries, Sandeep's professional achievements are significant, but today's conversation takes us beyond his impressive resume. This episode focuses on the themes of gratitude, humility, and spirituality, offering listeners a rare glimpse into the personal beliefs and life lessons that have shaped Sandeep's journey. He reflects on his upbringing in a small village in India, where his parents made enormous sacrifices to provide him with the opportunity to pursue education—a theme that resonates deeply throughout the episode. Sandeep's father, a schoolteacher who walked 15 kilometers to work to save money for his children's tuition, and his mother, a primary school teacher, instilled in him values of hard work, humility, and gratitude that continue to guide him today.Sandeep's personal philosophy centers on the belief that gratitude is the cornerstone of success, both in life and leadership. He speaks candidly about the importance of acknowledging the people who have supported us along the way—whether they are still with us or not—and how expressing gratitude strengthens both personal and professional relationships. Throughout the conversation, Sandeep delves into his spiritual beliefs, sharing his thoughts on karma, incarnation, and the interconnectedness of life, drawing on influences from both Eastern philosophy and scientific thought, such as Einstein's reflections on the nature of reality.Listeners are invited to consider three essential questions: Who am I? Why am I here? How can I help others? These questions form the foundation of Sandeep's life philosophy, one that calls us to live with purpose, to give selflessly, and to remain humble regardless of external achievements. The episode is not just a reflection on leadership in business, but also on the leadership of the heart—how empathy, kindness, and serving others can lead to both personal fulfillment and professional success. Sandeep shares stories from his career in global IT leadership, highlighting the ways in which gratitude and humility have not only helped him navigate challenges but have also allowed him to build high-performing teams, implement transformative technology projects, and align corporate objectives with human values.Chris and Sandeep also explore the power of giving without expectation—a recurring theme that underscores the entire conversation. In a world that often values material success and self-promotion, Sandeep reminds us that true fulfillment comes from giving generously, whether through acts of kindness, mentorship, or simply acknowledging the contributions of others.By the end of the episode, listeners will walk away with not just actionable leadership advice, but a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper understanding of how gratitude can enrich both their personal and professional lives. Sandeep's wisdom reminds us that the journey of giving, whether to our families, our communities, or even to strangers, is a difficult but immensely rewarding one—one that ultimately defines our legacy.Whether you're an executive, a leader, or simply someone seeking more meaning in life, this episode offers valuable insights into how we can all lead with humility, harness the power of gratitude, and create a more compassionate, connected world.
