We conclude our interview with Greg Graham in this episode. Hope you enjoy! Regardless of where he finds himself, Greg is researching and thinking about how to improve our systems in order to change the current reality to a better process for students. The reason I wanted to do this interview is because Greg is a person who inspires me with the way he combines a thoughtful, reasonable approach with a passionate conviction. I appreciate his merging of theory with practice to discuss what real reform could look like in our schools. Finally, the timing of this interview turns out to be very appropriate as we are in the midst of a global pandemic, which is forcing the issue of looking at how we do school. Now is the time for transformation! (Note: This interview was recorded in April 2020.) Go to Greg Graham's Facebook Page. Follow Greg Graham on Twitter. Check out Greg Graham's blog here. I'm very excited about this interview series because you get to "meet" Greg Graham. In this interview, Greg Graham helps us unpack ideas around education reform, systems thinking, profound knowledge, and continuous improvement. Greg offers a unique perspective as someone who has worked at many levels within the school system in multiple districts, and as someone who has been able to step outside of the public school system and work in other career paths. Regardless of where he finds himself, Greg is researching and thinking about how to improve our systems in order to change the current reality to a better process for students. We did it! We have reached the end of John's Gospel and one of my favorite chapters in the Bible - John 21. There may not be a more dynamic and symbolic relationship in Scripture than the one between Jesus and Peter. It represents so much of the interaction between God and humanity. Some of Peter, the good and bad and ugly, lives in each of us. So, it is all that more dramatic and profound that one of the Savior's first acts of redemption on His journey to repair the whole world is to come back for His apostle and friend, Simon Peter. Here is the incredible conclusion to this Gospel. Follow us on Twitter Subscribe to our Podcast Join our Facebook Group https://HowMuchGreater.podbean.com/feed.xml Like us on iTunes!
Two important figures are highlighted in John 20. One is often overlooked because she is a woman. The other is often judged because he needed proof. Mary Magdalene is the first witness and proclaimer of the single greatest event in the history of the world, the resurrection of Jesus Christ! The fact that the New Testament writers include this detail is significant. "Doubting" Thomas raises the question about where faith meets reason. Somehow, there was a publishing error with this episode so it did not get produced in sequence. My apologies.

Many people consider the "Our Father..." prayer as the "Lord's Prayer," but there is an actual Lord's prayer where we see the heart of Jesus as He prays to His Father. We find it in John 17. MARC’S MESSAGES It's not a matter of having to choose God because He already chose you! What if that was true? John 15 presents one of the most essential accounts in all of the New Testament. In it, Jesus explains how our whole purpose is to stay connected to Him. He is the Source of life for us. What a fitting Easter message on this day! We find ourselves in the middle of a pandemic, and schools are responding to the COVID-19 crisis in a variety of ways to design and promote remote learning opportunities for students and families. This is one of those times that the phrased "uncharted territory" is really accurate for all involved. Transitioning from site-based learning institutions to distance learning in all kinds of homes in school districts with tens of thousands of students is a monumental task, and especially when it has to be done quickly! Grace and patience and curiosity need to reign supreme at a time like this. This challenge is the opportunity for school districts to work together, educators from all over to learn from one another, and model a sense of collaboration and community to the generation we teach. This is not the time for competition and fear and self-preservation to guide our decision-making. "Kids first" should not just be a mantra. It should be our priority right now, and to put kids first means that any sense of "I hope we do it better than they do it" has to be thrown out the window. On top of that, there is some cool stuff in John 12, too. Follow us on Twitter Subscribe to our Podcast Join our Facebook Group https://HowMuchGreater.podbean.com/feed.xml Like us on iTunes!
MARC’S MESSAGES John 11 is the miraculous story of Lazarus. Beyond the incredible implications of something of this supernatural magnitude being able to happen, there are important lessons for us to learn in the details of the interactions among all of the characters involved. MARC’S MESSAGES In this longer episode, one of the more fascinating encounters in the New Testament is described to expose the absurdity of religion when it has gotten out of control. MARC’S MINUTES "You're the child of the devil!" "No, you are!" This is the kind of argument we see in John 8 between Jesus and the Jewish religious leaders of his day. How do we make sense of it? MARC’S MESSAGES In this episode, we find out how Jesus defines doing God's work. It may not be what you expect. The theme of replacing religion with relationship is clearly at the forefront yet again in John's Gospel. Find out what really constitutes the work of God in John 6.
