In light of all that spiritual warfare is, there is the God of grace It is the grace of God that equips and enables us. In this last part of the 1st Peter epistle, he reminds us us that grace is not something but someone. It is the Lord Jesus Christ. We have all that He is which is more than enough to take us through every season of difficulty. -When we see things through a spiritual and heavenly perspective, nothing can separate us from the love of God. We have supernatural strength and our faith becomes immovable.

Whatever is not of God is of the enemy. We need to understand our enemy and the victory we have in Christ Jesus. He made an open display of defeating Satan at the cross.-Peter gives us a description of the devil so that we can discern who he is, his activities and the way he works.-If you are saved today you have the ability, through the Holy Spirit, to try every spirit to see if they are of God. You try every spirit by the truth of the Word of God.

What does submission and trusting look like in the body of believers-- God so works in our lives that no matter what He calls us to, God is sufficient to cause it to be accomplished in our lives.-We submit by the acceptance, affection for, appropriation of and awareness of God's sovereign rule.-And we know that, from the day of our salvation, God cares for each and every facet of our lives.

Do we understand God's design for His church-- What the role of pastors, deacons and laity is-- The pastor is a God-called man to shepherd the flock of God. His primary call is the Word of God. -He is to provide truth and protect the flock through that truth. One of provision and protection.-The goal is to feed the flock of God to where they don't have to be dependent on the pastor...they can be dependent upon God. Finally, he will have to give account for everything he said and did.

From that judgment is how God will deal with the lost.-In days of persecution is when the world sees who the church really is...who Christ really is...who God really is. They will see who they really are.

Man's view of trails, afflictions or difficulties is totally different than God's view. Instead of coming unglued and dismayed , we can rest and even rejoice in the midst of them.-Understanding the character and nature of God will help us see things from God's perspective.

All god was going to do and all He was going to say was based on two commandments- Love the Lord your God with all your heart mind and soul. And love your neighbor. Love that is being demonstrated is God being glorified through Jesus Christ. It is His love that is manifested.-Every born again believer has the gift to love with His love.

It can never work when self is at the center. God sees husbands and wives the same way through Christ.-There is joint surrender and submission. Just as a wife is to submit to the authority of a husband as God has designed, there is also submission for the husband to his wife.

It can never work when self is at the center. God sees husbands and wives the same way through Christ.-There is joint surrender and submission. We can't walk in the reality of the Christian life without this principle and it carries over to the home.-The only way to have a biblical family and home is to trust and put God first. This does not make a women a lessor person, it makes her a biblical person. How a women lives speaks much louder than words. -No one can do this of themselves. It is only through the Lord Jesus that this can become a reality in a women's life.

He was constrained to willfully, and passionately submit because of His confident peace in the Father.-The greatest evidence of the life of the Lord Jesus in the believer is the constraint, through the grace of God, they show in how they respond to mistreatment.

The same grace that God showed to us.

The Liberty of our salvation drives us to more holiness.-We are to submit, to place, ourselves under the authority of the institutions that God has allowed to be placed over us. As Christians we are obligated to submit if it does not go against the mandate of God.

What should be our response in light of how God sees His children and what He has done in and through us-- A Christian's lifestyle and conduct before a lost world tells the truth about who we say we are. Let our lives be honest about who we really are. -If we walk in the flesh we cannot do what we would like to do but if we walk in the Spirit we will not do what we shouldn't do.

We will find hope, peace and happiness nowhere else than in the chief cornerstone, Jesus Christ.-Once saved, the obedience of faith becomes the outflow of our lives. People see that obedience to truth and do not see it in themselves. By our example the cornerstone has been laid and when God plants the cornerstone within them, their Christian life can begin.

He sees us as His spiritual building that He has put together piece by piece, saved by saved, one by one with Jesus Christ as the living Cornerstone.-The foundation of the building is truth. Christ, the cornerstone, is the truth made flesh, the truth lived out.

We have tasted and have found that the Lord is good.-If we do not have a burning desire for the sincere milk of the Word of God can we say that the Spirit of God does not live in us-- -The role of the Holy Spirit is to instill that desire within us. As we desire, indeed crave, the Word of God we will continue to grow day by day.

Can we love others, even those who are against us, in the the same way God loves us-- These verses speak of the motivation, the miracle, the means and the message God has for us to -love one another as I have loved you-.-God sees us in all our failures and wickedness -the reality of who we were- yet loved us unconditionally and sent His Son to take our place so that we would be able to love one another as He loved and loves us.
