Barrel proof conversation while sharing a few drams of sunshine. In other words we drink and talk about what we drink and what is going on in the world.
Drinking sake and eating wasabi hot peas to add some spice to the conversation.
Back in February 2014 I was quoted in the MIT Technology review article Marginally Useful — https://www.technologyreview.com/2014/02/18/173936/marginally-useful/ If we attached a coin identifier to a digital image, Smith says, “we could now call that a unique, one-of-a-kind digital entity.” Media on the Internet—where unlimited copying and sharing has become a scourge to rights holders—would suddenly be provably unique, permanently identified, and attached to an unambiguous monetary value. Do you side with Jesse who thinks this is fiction, or with JB and Larry who like the idea.
Lane and Larry came up from Boca to tour distilleries and buy some bourbon. We had a wild conversation.
Nasty weather across the USA; the popularity of cider; and the amazing Robinhood rollercoaster ride on Game Stop.
Larry and Jesse took a Dry January which made getting lit a little difficult. So we did a tea tasting. Tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world next to water, it is in almost 80% of all US households, and on any given day, over 159 million Americans are drinking hot or iced tea.
We thought 2020 was bad and the New Year would be better, then we have a coup d'état on January 6, 2021. At LitWitLarry, we're going to do our best to entertain you and drop some wisdom with our cup, or two, of salvation.
America was full of Apple trees and the drink of choice was hard cider. It made you happy, it tasted good, and it was the only alternative to infected dangerous water. Join us for some juicy conversation.
S2 E4 features Brian Sykes, Brand Ambassador for Aberlour Single Malt, a https://www.aberlour.com/en-us/ We have both an audio recording plus video of Brian and the Base110 crew. Larry has moved into a studio apartment in the Chevy Chase neighborhood and started getting lit early to celebrate the move. We spent the rest of the episode discussing the Black Lives Matter movement.
Jesse has an awesome new home with a patio seating area so we could social distance while having a few pours and snacks. Shout our to Kevin at Ernies Liquor for giving Jesse the opportunity to do barrel picks -- we had 2 of the selections.
This pandemic has been, and continues to be, a wild ride. For some it's been fun to have family time and to put a pause on the hectic daily life. For others, it's be heartbreaking and stressful.
James as our guest is coming back to the USA. We loved to have fun and celebrate.
Looking forward to breaking quarantine, going to the park and walking about.
Craft beer, having a chat about what's going on in lock down.
Our Good Friday broadcast and talking about some odd things you don't know about Larry or Jesse. Larry nearly died 5 times.
I miss baseball, hanging out with friends, and a bunch of other things thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. We're sharing some thoughts while Jesse is drinking some fine Craft beers thanks to Kevin at Ernie's Spirits, our sponsor . Me, I got Coors original Banquet beer.
We talk about the things that really happen.
Isolation. Stay in Place. Drink a bunch. We talking trash online and drinking barrel proof.
Rocky Horror Picture Show was my first thought of a fad, but the other 2 generations said it was a cultural monument. Well how about Rubik's cubes or . . . listen in and subscribe, share and like please so we can get our second sponsor. Cheers to Ernies for the support https://www.facebook.com/pg/Ernies-Spirits-558800247543236/posts/?ref=page_internal
Larry was born in Korea and Jesse has traveled extensively in Asia. We're drinking soju, saki, and toasting with Corona beer because we're in tune with the news.
Jesse has been blessed with a new baby girl -- Eloise, to be addressed as Elle. AKA, you pronounce it "L" like as in Larry.
We discovered https://auphonic.com/, a free site that greatly enhances the audio quality. This is the same episode and if you are new, play this one not the original from Feb 17.
Our Base110 roommate Cody, a serious bourbon collector, joins us today for fun filled answers to our stupid questions.
Jesse has taken a new job and will be leaving Base110. We'll be continuing Lit Wit Larry but at an irregular schedule until he gets settled. To get alerts for new episodes, send an email to LITWITLARRY@gmail.com with the subject or body saying "Opt me into your podcast."
LitWitLarry was founded when Jesse brought out some fine Kentucky Bourbon and shared it with Larry, JB and some others. After many months, it was Larry's turn to supply the drink and he thought it would be fun to try some bottom shelf "well" bourbons.
Jesse likes to get Larry drunk, rant on him and ask stupid questions. We talk about lots of things while drinking all manner of alcohol.
