Welcome to The Other Side of Midnight, hosted by Lionel on the Red Apple Podcast Network. Dive headfirst into the "dark, the filth, the sadism, the paraphilia, the demented, seemingly dark underbelly of society" in this wildly unpredictable, late-night call-in show. In this episode, Lionel and his colorful array of callers tackle everything from the declassification of UFO files to the bizarre theories surrounding Operation High Jump, alien drones, and plasmatic orbs. The conversation careens through debates about Jeffrey Epstein's mysterious background and redacted files, the bizarre tradition of throwing toast at The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and deep, dark dives into the Kennedy family's hidden tragedies and alleged mafia connections. It's entertaining, informative, and totally discombobulating. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
On this episode, the witches sit down with Jane Matthews, Director of the World Divination Association, rune reader, author, medium, and teacher whose work weaves ancient symbols into modern, embodied magic.Jane joins Chelle and Laylla from Northern Ireland to talk Ogham, sigils, and practical divination, and how these systems help us reconnect with our own inner wisdom. We chat about learning to actually trust your intuition, reading tarot or runes for everyday mundane stuff just because you can (and because practice builds relationship), and even pulling cards or staves about something that already happened yesterday as a way to sharpen your symbolic language and spot your own patterns. Naturally, this leads to journaling about it. And somewhere along the way, Laylla uncovers an unexpected connection between Ogham and The Rocky Horror Picture Show… yeah, we don't fully know how that happened either.Jane is the author of Sigils: A Tool for Manifesting and Empowerment and her new Ogham deck and guidebook Ogham: Divining in the Celtic Way comes out March 2nd, 2026If you've been curious about Ogham, sigils, or working with symbols as living allies in your craft, this conversation is a beautiful place to begin.Jane MatthewsOgham: Divining in the Celtic Way (25-Card Deck and 192-Page Guidebook)World DivinationGot a question? The Not Ready for Prime Time Podcast: The Early Years of SNL
Marc Shaiman has won a Tony award, two Grammy awards, two Emmy awards, and has been nominated for seven Oscars. Unsurprisingly, after a career spanning over 50 years rubbing shoulders with the "who's who" of entertainment he is not at a loss for stories to share. In honor of his hilarious new memoir, Never Mind the Happy: Showbiz Stories From a Sore Winner, we talked with Marc about a brief, but pivotal, section early in his career – Saturday Night Live. Beginning as a freelance performer during the Dick Ebersol years, he began backing up cast members such as Julia Louis-Dreyfus and went on to form life-long friendships with the likes of Martin Short and Billy Crystal. When Lorne Michaels returned to the show, he was hired as a full-time writer and helped create one of the most iconic recurring characters of SNL's second Golden Era – The Sweeney Sisters.Marc talks about working on SNL with Jan Hooks, Phil Hartman, Maya Rudolph, Paul Shaffer, Steve Martin, and Mary Tyler Moore, as well as shares hilarious behind-the-scenes tales about Bill Murray, William Shatner, Paul McCartney, and Prince! He also tells the story of meeting, working, and living with Bette Midler (when he was only a teenager), discusses his decades-long relationship working with Rob Reiner, and reveals the most outrageous story from his book.We had such a blast talking Saturday Night Live with Marc, we didn't even get a chance to talk about:*Being one of the originators of the Rocky Horror Picture Show screenings*Producing songs with Mariah Carey and Harry Connick, Jr.*Backing up Bette Midler on Johnny Carson's final show*Writing songs for South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut*Creating Hairspray for BroadwayAll of which are in the book – which you can order HERE!Or the amazing audio book - HERE!Or...as Marc says (or sings) himself - GET BOTH!---------------------------------Subscribe & Follow today! The Torah commands us not to cause unnecessary suffering to animals, Not just for the sake of the animal, but because cruelty damages the human soul. Parshas Mishpatim is about caring when no one is looking. The Torah demands kindness precisely where there is no gratitude, no recognition. Animals won't thank you. As children marry, family dynamics change; they build their own homes, and they create new and separate lives. It's a different dynamic. Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 107th episode of VideoFuzzy titled "Persons Unknown," reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. "Persons Unknown" was a short-run summer series in 2010 on NBC, archived across now three binders in my collection, including an episode that never aired, archived to my current collection, as well as a home-burned disc set I crafted while watching them for this feature, which has also been posted to VideoFuzzy's YouTube channel as my 15th ever VideoFuzzy the Video: https://youtu.be/X0j2mMfjFng In Cross Connections, I track connections through the cast of "Persons Unknown" as well as Barry Bostwick, Chi McBride, Aldis Hodge, Chris Gaultier, Colin Mochrie, Danny Strong, John Billingsley, Erik Charles Nielsen and Charissa Barton. Under Fond Reflection, I celebrate the life and work of Catherine O'Hara as a Golden Thread in my collection. In my Classic Collection [VHS-to-DVD transfers], this set covered discs 1951-1975. An extension of strange coincidence I outlined last time, this was just the craziest set of circumstances, a search for a couple of ads that turned up in my collection came up empty so they ended up on VideoFuzzy's Instagram. That search, however, did turn up the final two episodes of "Strange Luck," a mid-'90s FOX production, these two on the YouTube channel @OASMovies-gw5tz and also posted within the past year. Wild! Also, Isabella Rossellini explored the sex lives of bedbugs on the Sundance channel, which showed up as a clip and some commentary on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," a staticky copy of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," and Jensen Ackles lip-syncing to Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" in the credit sequence for a fourth-season episode of "Supernatural." https://bit.ly/3MkLSmd In my Current Collection [direct to digital], I added the two episodes of "Strange Luck" that I found, along with a classic production of Agatha Christie's "The Seven Dials Mystery" from 1981 on AcornTV as well as the three-part Netflix adaptation. Also, comments on "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery," issues with tubi's production of "Doctor Who," and Jack Smith's testimony to the House Judiciary Committee and comments from there. In Book Reports, I've been walking a lot more and reading a lot of authors through my audible account. I've read three by Sophie Hannah, a short story collection by Agatha Christie and one each by Riley Sager, Marthe Jocelyn, Maureen Johnson and this one I'll recommend highly, "Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death" by M.C. Beaton, which was absolutely delightful. Finally, in What I've Been Watching, my husband, Ralph, and I just finished watching "My Hero Academia," I've encountered a few episodes of "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries," and over new year's I took in "Marty Supreme." Fun! SPREADING THE WORD! "VideoFuzzy: The Video - Celebrating 100 Episodes!" is posted at https://youtu.be/eWfcCDiOZ2I. Please share as you're able to with anyone you feel might enjoy this production. For PROMOS, scroll all the way down at https://videofuzzy.libsyn.com. Parshas Beshalach is about memory and forgetting. How can a People who has just witnessed miracles that shook the world—the plagues, the Exodus, the splitting of the sea—only days later, forget? They panic. They complain. They say, "Was it for the lack of graves in Egypt that you took us out to die in the wilderness…?" How can you forget something so overwhelming? On this episode of The Hoodrat Recap, we dig deep into the living, breathing history of The Hold Steady—and what it really means to come back home.Stephanie from Wisconsin (aka UnifiedScene 1) joins us to tell her incredible story. She discovered the band at just their second show ever and quickly became part of the inner circle—helping shape the band's earliest online presence and riding alongside the boys through the first four albums. Then, just like that… she disappeared for 17 years. Until last May, when she finally came back. Stephanie walks us through hearing Teeth Dreams for the first time and explains—emotionally and honestly—how a resurrection really feels. Then guitarist Tad Kubler drops in to talk about the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” energy of modern Hold Steady shows: the Confetti Yeti, zombi dancing to Killer Parties, cramped stages, endless headlamps, and the beautiful chaos that comes with it all. Tad also gives an update on his solo work and what he's been up to outside the band. It's a heartfelt, hilarious, and slightly unhinged celebration of fandom, faith, and finding your way back to the sound that made you believe in the first place. Thanks to Al Storer for Tad Lego photo and artwork!Send us an email here:https://www.speakpipe.com/TheHoodratRecapPodcastListen here:https://podlink.com/1559319750?view=apps&sort=popularity
When my father (olav haShalom) was saying Kaddish for his own father, he once told me something very sincere. He said he felt a little disappointed with the Kaddish – the memorial prayer for the dead. He said, "It doesn't say anything about the person who passed away. It doesn't describe their life, their goodness, their uniqueness. It just says Yisgadal v'Yiskadash Shemei Rabbah — may Hashem's Name be magnified and sanctified! Why doesn't it mention the person who passed away? In 1972, Rabbi Yaakov Asher Sinclair opened SARM Studios the first 24-track recording studio in Europe where Queen mixed "Bohemian Rhapsody". This discussion features: Judah Thomas, David LaManna, Lenny Salgado, Ben Cossette, and James Gowell.Edited by: Tim NicholsonIn Week 5 we wrap up Hebrews chapters 1 through 3, and prompt you with the following questions before listening: What are you tolerating today that you would've walked out on five years ago? If you're “fine as you are,” Hebrews has a loving but sharp question for you. Ben's VIP night out turned into a spiritual gut-check in about 30 seconds. Quick question: have you ever brought Jesus with you or left Him in the car?Lenny kicks us off by talking about the slow drift that hardens a heart over time, how constant resistance from the world can quietly corrode our spiritual sensitivity until we find ourselves putting God on the shelf.Ben shares a personal story from a VIP showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and the moment he knew he needed to leave before the night pulled him somewhere he didn't want to go. That story sparks a real conversation about conviction, wisdom, and boundaries: we're called to be in the world, but not of the world and the fact that the Holy Spirit always provides a way out.Judah, David, Lenny, Ben and James also dig into why reading the Bible daily transforms your life, keeps your heart soft, why convictions are meant to shape us (not fuel judgment of others), and what it looks like to live a Spirit-led life in dark places while still walking in wisdom.Lenny closes with the takeaway that names the episode: don't leave Jesus in the car.Jesus isn't limited to “business hours”—He's King of 365 / 24-7. Bring Him with you, and He'll make your path straight. This is an epic episode: thought provoking conversation, great detours, real issues, many laughs and lots to think about. Please come along for the ride.Read along with us as we move onto: Hebrews 4–6Help us spread the word about Thriving in the Word—and thanks for being part of the family. Have a blessed day.More info: www.thrive.church Give: www.thrive.church/give/ Need prayer? prayer@thrive.churchThis is a presentation of Thrive.Church © All Rights Reserved

The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Transgresión, contracultura y películas de medianoche, editado por Dos Bigotes. Con él vamos a conversar.Escuchar audio

I just got up from sitting shiva for my mother aleha hashalom, who passed away at the age of nearly 102. Many people said to me, kindly and sincerely, "At least she had a good innings." I think the Torah teaches us the opposite. This is the first of a series of videos I hope to make honoring my mother a"h, connected to the weekly parsha. It's a jump to the left, a step to the right, and straight into absolute chaos as The Commentary Booth celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Jamie Apps and Corrina Mabey revisit the cult musical that confused, delighted, scandalised, and rewired generations of audiences, and yes, Jamie is watching it for the first time. From dripping rain and flat tyres to corsets, aliens, and one very sweaty creation, this episode breaks down why Rocky Horror still refuses to fade quietly into pop culture history. Corrina brings the deep love, historical context, and shadow cast energy, while Jamie reacts in real time to a film that feels like Frankenstein on an acid trip, in heels. They unpack Tim Curry's career-defining performance as Dr Frank-N-Furter, the cultural impact of midnight screenings and audience participation, the sheer weirdness of the narrative framing, and why this film made its money slowly, loudly, and unapologetically. There's debate, disbelief, genuine affection, and the kind of off-the-rails banter that feels fitting for a movie that never plays by the rules.Highlights Breakdown: - Jamie watches The Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time - Why Tim Curry's Dr Frank-N-Furter became an instant icon - The history of midnight screenings and shadow casts - How the film slowly built its cult following and box office legacy - Does The Rocky Horror still resonate with modern audiences, or is it frozen in time Whether Rocky Horror is your annual ritual or something you've only ever known through The Time Warp, this episode captures exactly why, 50 years on, it still hits people sideways. This week's episode is brought to you byAustralian Wrestling CardsCheck out more great content from Pario Magazine on our website.-------------------------------------------------------------SUPPORT PARIO MAGAZINE & THE COMMENTARY BOOTH- PATREON- BUY MERCH- AMAZON PRIME VIDEO- TUBEBUDDY- Subscribe to AEW Plus using my code (q0yydoz) to earn $10 in FITE credit- Shop Online With Honey- Shop Online With SatechiMY EQUIPMENT- Elgato Facecam- Rode PodMic- Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP- Streamlabs Talk StudioFOLLOW JAMIE ON SOCIAL MEDIA- Twitter- Facebook- Instagram- TikTokFOLLOW PARIO MAGAZINE ON SOCIAL MEDIA- Twitter- Facebook- Instagram

Finally, one year before Rocky Horror, Brian DePalma had yet another box office bomb turned cult-classic in the brilliant Phantom of the Paradise. "Don't dream it. Be it."50 years ago, a midnight movie was unleashed on the American masses that changed the lives of outsider teenagers forever. The Wives Colangelo would not be the people we are today without THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, and neither would Chelsey Weber-Smith of the American Hysteria podcast. For the final episode of the Halloween season 2025, let's all do the time warp, give ourselves over to absolute pleasure, and tackle arguably the greatest movie ever made about liberating yourself from the standards of the status quo.--------Become a Patron! https://www.patreon.com/thisendsatprom--------MONTHLY SPOTLIGHTHelp Barbara Fight for Her Future After ICE Detention: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-barbara-fight-for-her-future-after-ice-detention--------Follow our Guest!@AmericanHysteriaPodcasthttps://www.patreon.com/americanhysteria--------Social Media Plugs@ThisEndsAtProm@BJColangelo@HarmonyColangelo----------Logo Design: Haley Doodles @HaleyDoodleDoTheme Song: The Sonder Bombs 'Title': https://thesonderbombs.bandcamp.com/
We celebrate the 50th anniversary of the longest-running theatrical run of all time—“The Rocky Horror Picture Show”! It’s an unapologetic musical about being yourself (and giving yourself over to pleasure). It spawned a cultural phenomenon that’s still evolving, and making some of us feel old! If you’re a weirdo, you’re welcome here. Erika Ensign with Monty Ashley, Shelly Brisbin, Antony Johnston and Brian Hamilton.
What do you get when you combine a horror movie audience, a spiritualist séance, and a haunted house attraction? Beginning in the 1930s and lasting into the 1960s, midnight ghost shows were ghoulishly chaotic, wonderfully campy 4D theater performances that accompanied the scary movies of the era, beloved by a mostly-teenage audience who often became a part of the show themselves. Schlocky showman Chelsey Weber-Smith tells Sarah about how magicians-turned-ghostmasters used paranormal parlor tricks, gory skits, and marketing gimmicks to create a new form of vaudevillian dark comedy. As horror obsessives, Sarah and Chelsey muse about what it would have been like to attend one of these late night wacky fright fests that paved the way for the happily trashy theater camaraderie of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Digressions include the resilience of the horseshoe crab, dollar store competition, and plot holes in the movie High Tension (2003).More Chelsey Weber-Smith:Listen to American HysteriaOriginal music in this episode is produced + performed by Magpie Cinema Club(except for Harry Belafonte's Zombie Jamboree which is, in fact, from 1962.)Listen to their cover of Season of the VVitchProduced + edited by Miranda ZicklerMore You're Wrong About:Bonus Episodes on PatreonBuy cute merchYWA on InstagramSarah's other show, You Are GoodSupport the show

Mary and her cousin/disciple tour her newly renovated church, opening the vault on her cosmic feud with her late mother.
