Distinctly Protestant and Gen Z, Honoring Christ in the pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.
Just a quick one here, mainly for the archive & feed. At this point, the podcast had a full rebranding and relaunch, with a new direction. But, the archive of the original podcast form still has something to offer. That's all!
On this final episode of 2020, I have a discu]]ssion of the year with my good friend and fellow podcaster Cale Powers. The personal and overall ramifications -- the good, the bad, the ugly, and the hopeful. Enjoy! Also, I've got a major announcement about the future of the podcast at the end. For now, know that it'll just be on a short break, and then coming back swinging in a new way.
Today Jacob Rush and I discuss pastor Douglas Wilson's recent satirical novel Ride Sally Ride, and the relevant themes of sexuality, masculinity, femininity, and what the Christian witness looks like. Jacob Rush is a fellow Moscovite of Idaho and NSA upperclassmen to your humble host.
On today's episode I interviewed Michael Foster of It's Good to Be a Man on the importance of young men being driven and having a mission in life.
This week I have on Joffre "The Giant" Swait to discuss the idea of killing the dragon and getting the girl in a young man's life. Rabbit holes on joy, leisure, fatherhood, and work all mixed in with a fun conversation.
This week I have on Sean Bohnet, local Moscow Idaho resident, to discuss the general power and influence that music has on our souls, and the great importance music has within the Christian's life. Sean is the host of two excellent podcasts -- First is the Silvia Podcast, which focuses on music. The other (just recently launched) is the Plow & Potato podcast hosted with Joffre the Giant, where they discuss building culture.
Today I have on Aiden Anderson, a fellow student at New Saint Andrew's College, to talk about what it means for a culture to have increasingly absurdist sense of humor, as we see Gen Z has with the internet. This week the show was recorded in the local coffee shop, so there is some minor background sound. You can find Aiden here!Twitter: @aidenandersonInstagram: @aidenanderson.asa, @pantokratorfilmsofficialFacebook: Pantokrator Films, Aiden Anderson
This week I interview a good friend and fellow student, Knox Merkle. Classical education, Doug Wilson as your grandpa, Biblical myths behind the constellations, angels are stars and more on astronomy, cosmology, the Nephilim and celestial beings.
This week we have on Darren Doane! Talk about the internet and social media, all the possibilities we have with this amazing blessing and tool. Cap it off with some wisdom on hustle and work ethic for Gen Z.
This week we return to finish our discussion with Sabin on theology and the soft state of the American church today, how poorly we have responded to the "pandemic" and bent over for the government. To cap off the discussion, I ask him why Christians can have tattoos. Thanks again for listening, find us on socials @protestantzoomers on: Twitter, Instagram, Parler, and TikTok.
Back again this week with another episode, this one the first of two parts! Get into Sabin's testimony, from deep crime and anger to conversion in jail and a complete character change. Then we move into a discussion a bit about theology, and the soft state of the American church today, specifically about how poorly we have responded to the "pandemic" and bent over for the government. Excellent stuff! Thanks again for listening, find us on socials @protestantzoomers on: Twitter, Instagram, Parler, and TikTok.
We're back from our break! And today we get it going with the guys from Raiste the Standard podcast, talking about why theology is for everyone, and why it matters. Says it in the title! Also, it's five minutes, shouldn't take that long to listen to. Just going on a short break while Thomas gears up for his move to college!

There it is, today we talk about the Doctrines of Grace. As one theologian said, "I prefer to call it Biblical theology over Reformed theology." We had fun with this episode, as we walk through the Five Points of the TULIP; Total depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement (We prefer Definite Atonement), Irresistible Grace, and the Perseverance of the Saints. It's helpful that Robert struggled with this theology for two years, so he comments on his wrestling and gripes with each point. Today Corey is back, and we begin our journey through CS Lewis' Mere Christianity! On this first episode, we survey over the first four chapters of the book. First we give a summary, grab a quote, then discuss with Corey. What he agrees with, what he disagrees with. Fun times! We pray this conversation is edifying for believers listening, and helpful for any non-believers possibly taking a chance. "Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese." Today is Chesterton's birthday! So I thought I would read a favorite of his fun essays, a philosophical and theological analysis of cheese.
On this episode, I interview writer, podcaster, and Tweeter Eric Conn. We talk about Biblical masculinity, how we have lost it, and how it is being recovered. Zoomers are a mostly fatherless generation, in a feminized society that hates men and boys. What does it mean to be a man, and how do we stand up under God when those around us scrutinize it for being ‘not nice’? Eric Conn, find him @Eric_Conn on Twitter, at ericconn.com, and the Hard Men Podcast. Thanks again for listening, find us on socials @protestantzoomers on:Twitter, Instagram, Parler, and TikTok.

Today we have on our first guest, our good friend Corey. You'll be hearing a lot more from him, so stay tuned on that. The new DOOM: Eternal is used to kickstart a discussion on video games. Welcome to the first episode! Today we introduce ourselves, then go on to discuss and define the two primary characteristic of the show: what the heck is a Zoomer (Gen Z), and what is a Christian, what does it mean to be a Christian? [Note: when describing the Trinity, we mistakenly said "parts", when we should be using the word "Persons". An important distinction, we apologize for that mistake in speech] Thank you for listening, you can find us on socials--Twitter: @protestantzoomInstagram: @protestantzoomersParler: @protestantzoomersVero: @protestantzoomersTikTok: @protestantzoomers
