Andrew, founder of Tulip Valley Farms—a vibrant, immersive flower farm in the heart of Washington's Skagit Valley. But Andrew's path to farming is anything but traditional. From his early career as a U.S. Air Force intelligence officer to high-level roles at tech giants Amazon and Expedia, he's built a career defined by bold pivots, community commitment, and strategic vision.Raised in Mount Vernon, Andrew returned home after years in the corporate world to invest in his roots—literally. With a law degree, MBA, and master's in organizational leadership, he leveraged his diverse background to launch Tulip Valley Farms, a business now recognized nationally for its experiential approach to floriculture and farm tourism. He opens up about being colorblind and how he and his wife Holly—Tulip Valley's self-appointed Chief Color Officer—have made it work. We also dive into the challenges of entrepreneurship, including his removal as CEO from a previous tulip venture and how that setback ignited the vision for something even greater.Andrew shares how Tulip Valley Farms blends agriculture, innovation, and storytelling to create authentic farm experiences—from U-pick tulip fields to hands-on events. With features in national media and honors from the World Tulip Summit, his farm is not just beautiful—it's a blueprint for how agritourism can inspire, educate, and thrive. Want Farm4Profit Merch? This week marks the final episode of Season 2 of Augmented Ops! Natan and Erik look back and share their biggest takeaways from conversations with CEOs, frontline engineers, and operations leaders. They unpack marketing hype vs. the current state of AI on the shop floor, the rise of citizen developers, and why “digital transformation” needs a serious rebrand. They also dive deep into the demise of traditional MES, explore the shift toward composable, platform-driven architectures, and offer predictions on how adaptability will define manufacturing success in the year of the “composable operations.” Augmented Ops is a podcast for industrial leaders, citizen developers, shop floor operators, and anyone else that cares about what the future of frontline operations will look like across industries. Puntata a cura di Untimoteo. Ispirata all'omonimo fumetto di Garth Ennis (The Boys), la serie Preacher parla di un anomalo predicatore texano in lotta con i propri demoni interiori. Letteralmente.

Tread Perilously returns to the timey-wimey with a month they just had to call "Let's Do The Time Loop Again!" First up: an episode of Fringe known as "White Tulip." When Olivia, Peter, and Walter are called to the scene of a train car filled with corpses, it soon becomes clear a former MIT professor may be to blame. Walter quickly discovers the scientist is trying to use time travel to seemingly save his fiancée who perished several months earlier. Walter has his own experience with grief leading to mad science. Will he be able to talk the other scientist down from his experiment before more people die? Erik and Justin like Fringe and make no bones about it. But they also like to make fun of J.J. Abrams, so they quickly get into the weeds with that. Star John Noble quickly proves to be the episode MVP, but guest star Peter Weller gives him a run for his money. Justin determines the three premises of Fringe. He also recounts how he derailed his calculus class. Erik presents more thoughts on Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. The pair question whether or not the episode's time loop is effective, the real issue with plotholes is explored, and the real Richard Dragon suddenly becomes important.

This week, we're going Dutch… Well, sort of. The original spec script describes it as a “Hitchock-ian style thriller with black humor.” However, much like the titular town, in the words of its lead character Nancy Vangergroot, this movie is “like carbon dioxide. It's so sleepy and comfortable, and you won't even know you're suffocating.” It's Mimi Cave's Holland. From preaching TULIP to questioning its cracks, he exposes a vague identity coasting on buzzwords. Catholicism's 2,000-year depth—think Aquinas, cathedrals, Chesterton—makes Reformed flexing look silly. Welcome to Season 5 of the More Math for More People podcast!!!What if high school mathematics could be truly transformed into something students find engaging, meaningful, and applicable to their lives? In this thought-provoking conversation with mathematics education experts Kris Cunningham and Kristi Martin, we dive deep into the possibilities presented in the NCTM publication "High School Mathematics Reimagined, Revitalized, and Relevant."The discussion opens doors to a reimagined approach to high school mathematics that moves beyond the traditional curriculum model. Both guests highlight the importance of mathematical modeling as a pathway to authentic learning experiences where students tackle complex, multi-variable problems without predetermined solutions. This creates space for creative thinking and problem-solving skills that transcend the classroom. However, transformation doesn't come without challenges. Kristi candidly shares her classroom experiences of struggling to surface the mathematical concepts within engaging modeling activities and the difficulty of finding relevant problems that align with required standards. Kris emphasizes the need for systemic support, including administrative understanding and professional development opportunities that give teachers space to experiment and grow.Perhaps most powerfully, both educators stress the importance of persistence through inevitable frustrations. "If you believe in it and know it's great for students, just keep trying," Kristi encourages, reminding listeners that transformation is a journey rather than a destination. The conversation serves as both inspiration and practical roadmap for anyone interested in creating mathematics education that truly prepares students for their futures rather than simply repeating practices of the past.Send Joel and Misty a message! The More Math for More People Podcast is produced by CPM Educational Program. In this episode of GraceNotes from no. 87 "Arminianism and the Gospel of Grace," we dive into the theology of Arminianism and its views on the gospel of grace. Named after Dutch theologian Jacob Arminius, Arminianism challenges the strong determinism of Calvinism, particularly in its views on salvation, free will, and God's grace. We'll explore the historical roots of Arminianism, from Arminius' objections to John Calvin's doctrines to the formalization of Arminian theology in the early 17th century. Through this study, we'll unpack key points of disagreement between Arminianism and Calvinism, such as the nature of election, the concept of prevenient grace, and the question of whether salvation can be lost. While Arminianism emphasizes human free will and the ability to choose salvation, it also presents challenges to the gospel of grace, particularly when it comes to assurance of salvation and the idea of works in maintaining salvation. How do Arminians reconcile their belief that salvation can be lost with the Bible's teaching on God's unconditional grace? We'll also look at how Arminianism compares to biblical teachings on eternal security, examining the struggles many believers face with assurance of salvation when their security is tied to human effort rather than God's grace. This episode seeks to bring clarity to these complex theological systems and highlight the importance of understanding the full gospel of grace. Whether you're familiar with the terms TULIP, prevenient grace, or the history of Arminianism, this episode will equip you to better understand both Arminian and Calvinist views and how they relate to the truth of the gospel. Join us as we unpack the core of the gospel message—salvation by grace alone, through faith alone—and why it's essential for believers to rest in the assurance of eternal security.
