Raising mental health awareness for veterans and others who have been exposed to trauma.
In this episode I interview Michael "Top" Washington and Tony Cope. Top Washington is a Marine Corps and Firefighter veteran, who is a big advocate for mental health and is also a licensed therapist. Tony Cope is the Founder and Director at Myriad, a video production company based out of North Carolina. Together, the two teamed up to create a short film about a veteran and his "wingman" called Voicemails to My Future Self Vol. 2. With Tony as director and writer and Top as a creative consultant, they were able to produce this short yet powerful film about veteran suicide and the friends that come to their rescue.https://youtu.be/QjGKdFVKIJA

In this episode I discuss the self hatred I have had for a long time. The thing I never realized is how crucial it is to love yourself in order to maintain relationships. Also discussed is the topic of moral injury which is something totally new to me.
