Sneakers in the Dryer - Laundry List 6 - Slow Down Dirty Disco Deux Mixed on December 17, 2019 by Sneakers in the Dryer Shortly before the solstice, with winter about to begin, this mix slows things down. Nine and half years after the first ever Sneakers in the Dryer mix - Slow Down Dirty Disco, comes part Deux. The likes of Ed Wizard & Disco Double Dee and Thatmanmonkz inspired this mix, as Sneakers has recently made visits to ESL to hear the grooved down disco funk you rarely find anywhere else in DC these days. This one also finishes with an Easter Egg. Over the summer, Sneakers discussed "Cola" with @DJjouez and noted that there is a final verse that is only in the Elderbrook mix (the vocalist). That verse erases the controversy - the story ends with our protagonist stumbling home drunk, singing her favorite song. The revelation was that we're pretty sure her song is Single Ladies

Big thanks to @Jon_MFD and @Christauff for the kind words of praise and entrusting me with another Headline spot Thursday at Preview DC - this time on Halloween! I was very happy to have the opportunity to play for 4 hours this night. I made sure all systems were go so I could play 'til close. I feel a lot better about playing hours on end to really work into the groove and be able to understand the people in the room. This allows me to then play more specifically to my audience, which I think is the most important thing one can do as a DJ. This set had a bit of a tinge of Halloween, but was mostly fed and directed by the energy in the air.
