It's Christmas in Neptune! Except we recorded this episode a few months ago, hence the complaining about the heat. But don't worry, we get in plenty of Christmas chit chat while also discovering whodunnit in the poker heist!

Season 1, episode 9: "Drinking the Kool-Aid." Veronica and Keith infiltrate a maybe-cult in this episode, and we go deep into Mexican food. 

Season 1, episode 8: "Like A Virgin." All of Neptune High took a purity test, and so did we. Plus, we meet three new characters, including Mac!

Season 1, episode 7, "The Girl Next Door." This is the episode where Jessica Chastain stars as the upstairs neighbor who goes missing. Was it the shady boyfriend with the weird art? Or the creepy coworker who read her diary? Plus we discuss the real issues, like whether Killer and Backup are pals. 

Someone has rigged the election and Veronica is on the case. We also get to meet Aaron and Lynn Echolls for the first time, and Logan is being terrible but somehow we feel bad for him too. Plus, we discuss why you will never see us at any kind of desert group activity. Listen up!

Troy and friends are off to score a piñata full of steroids! Katie talks about her travels to Mexico. We also discuss what level of criminal history is a deal-breaker and the hairstyle that Karen thinks should make a comback.

This week's episode delivered a solid mystery involving college students running a scam to fund a video game, along with flashbacks of the kids getting up to some good old-fashioned teenage rebellion drinking champagne in a limo on the beach, as you do. It's the best episode yet! (Of VM, of course, not this podcast. But maybe though? You be the judge.)

A lot of parents are really letting their kids down in this episode and we're a little sad about it. The good news is that we got to reminisce about our old iPods and Friday night trips to the video store. Veronica is into Troy, but is she actually still in love with Duncan even though they haven't said five words to each other yet? Is Keith Mars secretly Joe Goldberg?
