This week on SNAFU - it's the most exciting Story Reveals and narrative twists from Season 4 - Like the story of the Azores Glider with Adam Scott where we heard the tale of Robert Piche and the incredible tactics he used to save an entire plane of passengers as they ran out of fuel over the Atlantic Ocean. Or Sophia Bush’s reaction to the revelation that Pablo Picasso might have been involved in an art heist of The Mona Lisa?? Or Jon Lovett’s hilarious Survivor-adjacent ruminations on the tragic tale of the Donner Party? It’s a massive episode filled to the brim with all my favorite “SNAFU Story Reveals and Twists”See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Gary Williams opens Wednesday's 5 Clubs on Golf Channel and PGA Tour Radio, Channel 92 on SiriusXM, presented by Sentry Insurance, with the standings and scenarios heading into the BMW Championship at Bellerive Country Club. He runs through the players fighting to reach East Lake, from J.J. Spaun's comfortable position at 21 to the Hail Mary math facing players like Michael Brennan, Matt McCarty and Ryo Hisatsune in the 45 to 50 range. Gary then spends time on the remarkable parallel careers of Adam Scott and Justin Rose, two 46 year old major champions born two weeks apart in 1980 whose win totals, earnings and career arcs mirror each other almost exactly.Sean Zak of Golf Magazine and golf.com joins Gary from Indianapolis to discuss the chaotic final week of LIV Golf's 2026 season. Zak details unpaid vendors, mounting lawsuits and signs pointing toward bankruptcy, and traces the collapse of merger talks between the PGA Tour and the Public Investment Fund back to a tense meeting involving Jay Monahan and Yasir Al-Rumayyan. The conversation turns to Jon Rahm's contract situation and why January 2027 may be the moment his path becomes clear, Bryson DeChambeau's continued commitment to building his own golf spectacle, and the DP World Tour's rising position as a landing spot for players looking to return to the traditional game. Zak and Gary close by putting Scottie Scheffler's five year run in context, from his breakout Phoenix win in 2022 to the gap he has now opened over the rest of the world ranking.Keith Stewart of Read the Line breaks down Bellerive Country Club ahead of the BMW Championship, describing a Rees Jones redesign with wide Zoysia fairways, sectioned green complexes and soft conditions following rain. Stewart identifies total driving and proximity from 175 yards and beyond as the keys to the week, and singles out Sam Burns and Si-Woo Kim as players overdue for a win after standout seasons. He and Gary also update the season-long picks standings, with Gil Hanse, Brendon De Jong and Jay Bilas all weighing in ahead of the final push toward East Lake. The episode wraps with Dogs of the Week, featuring golf course companions from Piners Country Club, Watami Golf and Country Club, Prospector Golf Course and Wind Dance Golf Club, and closes with a note on Bellerive's history and former Augusta National chairman Hord Hardin's eleven club championships there.Subscribe to 5 Clubs for more conversations and analysis from across the world of golf. Play Golf, Not Golf-Swing with Billy Ray Brown

On the Mark Golf Podcast

What if the secret to better golf is not another swing theory, launch-monitor number or technical rabbit hole—but learning how to truly play the game? Mark Immelman sits down with 3x PGA TOUR winner, NCAA National Champion, Texas State Golf Hall of Famer and respected golf broadcaster Billy Ray Brown for an honest conversation about the lessons Billy Ray wishes he had understood earlier in his career. His biggest realization? You do not have to be perfect to play great golf. Billy Ray explains why golf is a game of recovery, how an uncomfortable Christmas Day practice session transformed his short game and why players must learn to solve problems without immediately turning to a coach or a collection of data. Mark and Billy Ray also explore the importance of grip, setup, ball position, clubface awareness and active hands. They discuss Scottie Scheffler, Adam Scott, Dustin Johnson, Jackson Suber, Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Arnold Palmer and the Harmon family while examining how great players build swings that perform under pressure. In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why chasing perfection can keep golfers from playing their best. How Billy Ray transformed his short game in only a few months. Why golf should be viewed as a game of recovery. The difference between productive practice and simply filling time. Why golfers should practice the shots that make them uncomfortable How feel and technique work together. Why self-discovery builds adaptable, resilient players How technology and data can help—and when they become distractions. Why grip, stance, alignment and ball position still matter. How clubface awareness allows great golfers to save imperfect swings. Why different grips require different body motions and matchups. How course conditions should influence the swing and shot, and Why the ultimate goal is to play golf rather than chase a perfect-looking motion. Key Takeaways: You Do Not Have to Be Perfect - Great golf is not produced by hitting every shot perfectly. Every player will miss greens, struggle with portions of the game and face situations that require creativity. The best players accept that reality and become skilled at recovering. Build a Short Game That Travels - Billy Ray recalls entering college as an excellent tee-to-green player who was not good enough around the greens. After his coach contacted his father, Billy Ray spent a cold Christmas Day working alone on his chipping. That experience began a transformation that helped him earn a place in the University of Houston lineup and win an NCAA championship later that spring. Practice What Makes You Uncomfortable - Golfers naturally gravitate toward clubs and shots they already hit well. Productive practice requires the opposite approach. Work on the awkward lies, partial wedges, flighted irons, recovery shots and uncomfortable situations that will eventually appear on the course. Learn to Figure It Out - Players who always turn to someone else after a poor shot can become dependent on external feedback. Billy Ray believes golfers must spend time experimenting, observing the ball and learning what their own motions feel like. That self-awareness gives players the ability to make adjustments during competition.  Fundamentals Provide the Foundation Modern technology offers valuable information, but Billy Ray continually returns to the same fundamentals: Grip Stance Alignment Ball position, Distance from the ball, Clubface control, A consistent setup gives the swing a better opportunity to organize itself naturally. The Ball Does Not Lie - Launch monitors can provide useful measurements, but the flight of the golf ball remains the clearest form of feedback. Golfers should learn to recognize why the ball curved, launched too high, spun too much or started offline. Play the Shot the Course Requires - Firm ground, wind, changing green speeds and difficult lies require adaptation. A golfer's motion should respond to the shot and environment—not remain locked into one predetermined swing model. Play Golf, Not Golf Swing - The objective is simple: get the ball into the hole in the fewest possible strokes. Technique matters, but only when it helps the golfer accomplish that goal. Memorable Quotes: “You do not have to be perfect in this game.” “The most complex thing about learning to play the game is keeping it simple.” “The ball doesn't lie.” “You have to go to the most uncomfortable situations and put yourself in there.” “Play the game, not swing the golf club.” This podcast is also available as a vodcast on YouTube - search and subscribe to Mark Immelman and leave a comment.

Completano il mese The End of Oak Street, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia 18, Insidious: Fuori Dall'Altrove, La Vendetta Perfetta: Bear Country, Dark Matter 2 e The Whisper Man con Adam Scott e Robert De Niro. Sedici titoli selezionati, tra grandi ritorni, possibili sorprese, film già bocciati in partenza e almeno un'opera che dovete assolutamente vedere. (00:00) Primo posto su Apple Podcast! You're striping it on the range, then somewhere between the range and the first tee your swing vanishes — "where did that guy go?" It happens to everyone, and in today's Athletic Motion Golf Podcast, Shaun Webb and Mike Granato break down exactly why, and how to bring your range swing to the course. We get into the false confidence of hitting the same club over and over, why you should change clubs and targets every ball ("play the course on the range"), and the number one killer under pressure: getting quick and not finishing your backswing. You'll hear the Jack Nicklaus "finish your backswing" principle, David's "miss it quick," VJ Singh's one-two-three-four count and the Tour Tempo idea, Dr. Debbie's archery drill and "second serve" philosophy for making a free first swing, plus how nerves quietly wreck your setup — Adam Scott, Nick Price adjusting to the wind, and why it's the mosquitoes that get you, not the bears. If you play your best golf on the range and your worst on the first tee, this one's for you. How is this connected to a bartender at the hotel that goes missing? Is the hotel haunted? And, what will Ohm discover that his past traumas will collide with the horror that's on display at The Bilberry Woods Hotel. It's a mystery worthy of exploring, much like this episode which looks into what is one of the best horror films of the year.

The new horror movie Backrooms is about some of the creepiest places imaginable: the nondescript, beige-carpeted rooms that populate countless office spaces and discount furniture warehouses. The film stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as the manager of a pirate-themed furniture store, who, as he discusses with his therapist (Renate Reinsve), discovers a secret labyrinth of backrooms – each with a strange and unsettling design. Directed by Kane Parsons, based on his “creepypasta”-inspired web series, the movie doesn't have a plot so much as a deeply unnerving sense of place. If you're looking for more moody horror, check out these episodes:In ‘Obsession,' love hurts. Synopsis Ohm is a writer struggling to let go of his past. In an effort to move on, he travels to Ireland to spread his parents’ ashes. When he checks into the very hotel his mom and dad stayed at on their honeymoon, Ohm learns about the witch said to haunt the building. Some shady business is afoot. But, having some shady business to attend to himself he goes to his bedroom with a rope and a dream. Fiona, an employee at the hotel stops him from committing the ultimate L, and is later discovered to be missing. Ohm sets out to find the woman who saved his life and hopefully return the favor.  Review of Hokum Hokum is directed by Damian McCarthy, who also directed both Caveat and Oddity, which are both great movies. Hokum follows suit with the same feel and spooky imagery. If I could describe Damian McCarthy's style in one word, I would call it unsettling. While I think I like the premise of Caveat and Oddity better than Hokum, the themes were better in this film. At hokum's core there is a message about self-forgiveness and allowing yourself to heal what is broken within. The main character Ohm, played by Adam Scott, who you may recognize from Krampus (or like Parks and Rec and Severance), is a man who did something terrible and never let himself forget it. He became the villain in his own story and lets that show in the conversations and interactions he has with others. But just like the story he is writing, maybe our character will learn to do something selfless. It’s beautiful, shocking, and unexpected. I will say that I was hoping for a little more out of some plot lines. The witch feels like a subplot that barely makes it into the movie, but maybe I’m just being nitpicky. Score 9/10

For one final time, Andy joins Brendan from The Shed(!) for this Sunday recording as they look back on the formative years of this podcast. It's often said that the more things change, the more they stay the same, so it's nice that Cameron Young's dominant 2026 season remains in progress despite Andy leaving The Shed behind. Mr. 1,000 blitzed the field at the inaugural Cadillac Championship, defeating World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler by six in the end. This event was practically over on Friday afternoon and Cameron secured his third PGA Tour victory despite calling a penalty on himself for his ball moving at address on a day with Preferred Lies. Brendan found the whole week at Trump Doral sleepy and wonders if there's anything the PGA Tour can do to make events between majors truly stand out. The two discuss which PGA Tour events matter on their own and nearly all occur before the Masters. Andy gives major props to Cameron Young for his continued evolution into a top three player in the world and there's a debate whether the foursome of Young, Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Matt Fitzpatrick have separated themselves from the rest of the world. In other Doral news, Adam Scott looks likely to qualify for his 100th straight major, Justin Rose's McLaren irons didn't make it out of the garage, and Alex Fitzpatrick secured a top ten finish without his brother! Brendan and Andy then run through results from the rest of the world, including a back-to-back runaway win for Nelly Korda, a famous Michael winning on the DP World Tour, and a SECOND major championship win this year for now-Ryder Cup Vice Captain Stewart Cink.
