WAKE YO A$$ UP, FOO! Graveyard coming at ya! Started off with a young guest who insisted I interview her, only to get sidelined by Nature. Then I get into it for the night. SHOUTOUTS! If you get the title of this episode, you know what to expect. We'll get back into the real deal soon. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/trail.pope/support
WHAT UP, WHAT UP, WHAT UP!? It's been too long, but we still in it! Welcome back. Thank you to all who have been following this past journey- it's been real. I'm home and we're start right from there. One more blast from the past before we are relatively caught up. I try to take off from where I cliffhanged the last episode and get into our next big trail of the year: the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. But before even that- we went to AT Trail Days! What a blast. So glad I saw everyone from Pacific Crest Trail, Florida, Pinhoti, and everyone I'm trying to catch up ahead. More than halfway to them! Damn, it's been a minute. Been sitting on this episode all set up without publishing it. I apologize. As we get into, this one comes right from trail as we get into the catch-up. So Anchor.fm let's us record in 60-minute increments. I must have been yapping on for another half-hour or so after it stopped recording. Now I can only imagine what else I was still going on about. And yet, what we still taped was worth posting. Thank you for listening and stay tuned for more catch-ups as we crank our trek north. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/trail.pope/support
New Trail, Same Pope? We'll make this a new season to keep it all organized and what-not. PINHOTI TRAIL! Also known as the Turkey trail. I believe Pinhoti is Creek, need to look that up. Along with the incredible history behind this trail. We'll put that in the next episode... for now you get a quick recap since Fort Pickens along with a Trail Pope Confession. This one's actually weighed me for years but- like the trail tends to- this one's floated on up outta its repressed state and been brought to consciousness. To deny its existence is to actually acknowledge it, as well as more than likely project it into reality upon others. Explains a lot on these last few years... welp, check it out. Help me out here! Seriously though, thank you to all who listen and reach out. Another episode right from the trail! A little change in the team's roster- and yet, that's just the way the Trail goes. Here, we are pushing on out of the Wilton Hilton into Econfina Creek WMA. Massive destruction resulted here from Hurricane Michael, but I must say the effort in trail maintenence is even larger. Glad to have seen it as soon as I did, and can't even imagine the growth that will come with I am to return for a SOBO trip. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/trail.pope/support
Suwannee. Big Bend. Aucilla. St. Mark's. Apple-flavored Cola National Forest. What a section! From rafting down a lazy river to aquahitching into town, not a day went without excitement. Almost to the end- at least for the Florida National Scenic Trail. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/trail.pope/support
BIG RECAP! Phone took a plunge in a swampy mess so this is me recapping our time since the last episode. What a wild section from Lake Okeechobee all the way to Sanford/Orlando. Some audio was recorded previously yet may have been corrupted when it submerged. And we back! Season 2 is live, right off the Florida National Scenic trail. Honestly had this ready to publish back in Lake Okeechobee buttttt I guess I forgot to click the damn button. Nonetheless, here we go! St. Smokey is on the mic. I try something different by recording snippets along the way, with a recap to open. There's only one thing on my mind now and it's all I'm gonna be talking about until year's end! 90-something days of testing everything out. On this episode, I recorded during my break at work to try out breaking up the audio segments again, with a return sitting in my car toward the end of my surveillance. The next few episodes will be the same, with me trying out other recording and editing techniques that would be efficient for the upcoming hike. Hopefully, I won't have to drag out this pilot season for much longer hehe. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/trail.pope/support

What does 2021 have in store; I believe it will be a return to the trail for me.
