How did a federal prosecutor named Martin Bell end up suing a 70-million-year-old tyrannosaurus, looted from the rocky sands of the Gobi Desert? By teaming up with The Babe Ruth of Forfeiture and a personal injury lawyer representing the president of Mongolia, naturally. What followed was a matter of international diplomacy and Florida men — of a narc at the museum and a conspicuous crate, all leading to Pablo's high school, The Graveyard of the Oviraptor... and, of course, Nicolas Cage. This week, in Kingston Township, Pennsylvania, what begins as a simple search for a missing criminal pharmacist, quickly turns into the discovery of a makeshift graveyard, in a man's yard, that may have up to 12 burned, bashed & buried bodies. The more investigation that happens, the more the layers begin to peel off, revealing a brutal serial killer & his accomplices! But will a homemade cemetery, in his own yard, be enough to convict??Along the way, we find out pierogis are best eaten, when thrown from a parade float, that the more people you have helping you murder, the more people there is to tell on you, and that if you're going to bury a dozen bodies, you might want to do it, away from your own home!!New episodes every Thursday!Donate at: patreon.com/crimeinsports or go to paypal.com and use our email: crimeinsports@gmail.comGo to shutupandgivememurder.com for all things Small Town Murder & Crime In Sports!Follow us on...twitter.com/@murdersmallfacebook.com/smalltownpodinstagram.com/smalltownmurderAlso, check out James & Jimmie's other show, Crime In Sports! There are calls for a forgotten graveyard in Belfast to be formally marked, honouring the 10,000 people buried there. The site dates back to the famine, but today is mostly hidden by a housing development and old railway line. With our reporter Una Kelly.
Seth and Sean discuss if the Texans should extend Jalen Pitre, if they may be whistling past the graveyard on how he plays nickel, and what else they may be whistling past the graveyard about.
Seth and Sean react to people being petty and get petty themselves in the PettyCast, assess what aspects of the Texans they may be "whistling past the graveyard" about, and dive into how bad they're feeling for Coogs today.

Send us a textIn this episode, we discuss why certain scenes shouldn't have been from Harry's perspective. Enjoy!Topics/Summary:· 1:50 James and Lily's murder. This scene is pretty blurry and vague because it's from Harry's perspective. Now that we know what's going, seeing what Voldemort is feeling and how he is defeated would mean more than shots of a baby. This scene from Lily or James would show us how they stood fast and fought for their family and gave their lives so Harry could go on.· 11:21 The sorting ceremony. This is a smaller moment, but we could consider it the beginning of Harry's journey. We should be able to see Dumbledore and how he acknowledges this as the true commencement of the second war against Voldemort.· 16:15 The graveyard. This is Voldemort's big moment and his return. Who else to show us how Voldemort is feeling than the big man himself? After thirteen years of suffering, he can finally walk on his own two feet again and bring darkness to the world. We would learn something about him if we could experience his triumph.· 21:17 The Battle of the Ministry of Magic. Sirius, Bellatrix, Dumbledore, or Voldemort would be such a better choice than Harry! We could begin with him, but once the fighting starts, seeing the duels from Harry's eyes is pretty lame. · 26:48 Dumbledore's death. This is the climax of Snape and Voldemort's plan. Snape kills Dumbledore to cement his place by Voldemort's side. Notice how Harry isn't really involved? Yeah. Snape's eyes are really the only ones we should be seeing through in this scene. He is forced to kill his mentor and protector, and move into the final stages of their plan. This is the end of their friendship and the end of Dumbledore's life. Hi friends, in this week's episode our lovely guests is Daphne MacLeod, an author who reached out to us online and that's how we became friends. She was so inspired by dizis that she even wrote a book called Queen Bee and the Turk. We discuss many things in this episode mentioned below as they may be difficult to catch through us chatting. :) Goodreads link to Daphne's book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/210485598-queen-bee-and-the-turk Dapne's IG address : https://www.instagram.com/daphnemacleodauthor/ *The first dizis Daphne watched were: The Protector (Hakan Muhafız) and Çarpışma (Intersection) and she also counted As the Crow Flies (Kuş Uçuşu) as one of the series she would rewatch. Kiralık Aşk is also mentioned. *Daphne's favorite actress is Naz Göktan. She feels like Can Yaman is overrated. *Eda mentions Asmalı Konak - a dizi from the early 2000s, if you haven't seen it, here's a link to its IMDB page: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365980/ *When we are discussing how women are portrayed in dizis, Daphne mentions Mezarlık (Graveyard) on Netflix. Known for her dramatic intensity and often-dark, broodingly romantic compositions, Tori Amos has perhaps unfairly gotten a reputation for being very, very serious. To be fair, sometimes she is (and we love it!). However, contrary to popular belief, when you take a closer look, Tori also has an extremely funny side. Her particular tongue-in-cheek brand of wit often translates directly into key songs that provide moments of oppositional levity and sweet relief amidst some of her most emotionally-searing sonic landscapes. Tori Amos' “Silly Songs” have always been a part of the fabric of her musical worlds and are well-documented, but they were officially named in 1996 with the release of several b-sides that directly contradicted the more bleak album tracks from the legendary Boys For Pele. Songs like “Graveyard”, “Toodles Mr. Jim”, and “That's What I Like Mick (The Sandwich Song”) gave listeners a warm, welcomed glimpse of Tori's slightly left of center sense of humor, while still fully highlighting her musical chops. Whether she's almost running over an angel, smacking down George Bush Jr with a sassy “who's your daddy?” or chatting up God to confess her foodie sins, it is important to remember Tori is not afraid to be a ‘lil silly (as beautifully evidenced in her most recent release: the whimsical new music for her New York Time best-selling children's book Tori and the Muses). So keep your hoochie, program your sodas and join Kristen, Matt and Joey in the Faerie Workshop to explore the magical, playful world of Tori Amos' Silly Songs, where laughter and joy are an inevitability, and where a wide variety of artisanal baked goods are essential to the narrative.MM playlistKK playlist JV playlist

The tumultuous mouth of the Columbia River, near Astoria, Oregon, is beautiful but deadly. Thousands of ships have capsized and wrecked on its shores over the centuries. That's earned it the menacing nickname “Graveyard of the Pacific,” although that's not the only gloomy moniker in the region. Cascade PBS's resident historian Knute Berger explored some of this history in a recent episode of the Mossback's Northwest video series, but there are more stories left to tell. In this episode of Mossback, Berger joins co-host Stephen Hegg to discuss the early explorers who coined so many of the area's depressing names, from Cape Disappointment to Dismal Nitch; the natural forces that make the river's mouth so treacherous; some of the area's most famous shipwrecks; and the deadliest tragedy to ever occur here and its uncanny parallel to Berger's own family history. Plus, Berger shares his adventures from scouting and shooting the video for Mossback's Northwest, including breathless hikes, sandy mishaps and barking sea lions. For more on all things Mossback, visit CascadePBS.org. To reach Knute Berger directly, drop him a line at knute.berger@cascadepbs.org. The life of this week's final Scriblerian, Thomas Parnell, rounds out the picture of the entire Scriblerus club as a fraternity of wildly brilliant men all carrying some great pain or wound. Some of them clearly write out of that wound, while others seem to write in spite of it. Parnell straddles the line, and today's poem is a fine example of his blending of bright energy with a sharp edge. Happy reading.Thomas Parnell (11 September 1679 – 24 October 1718) was an Anglo-Irish poet and clergyman who was a friend of both Alexander Pope and Jonathan Swift. He was born in Dublin, the eldest son of Thomas Parnell (died 1685) of Maryborough, Queen's County (now Portlaoise, County Laois), a prosperous landowner who had been a loyal supporter of Oliver Cromwell during the English Civil War and moved from Congleton, Cheshire to Ireland after the Restoration of Charles II. His mother was Anne Grice of Kilosty, County Tipperary: she also owned property in County Armagh, which she left to Thomas at her death in 1709. His parents married in Dublin in 1674. Thomas was educated at Trinity College, Dublin and collated as Archdeacon of Clogher in 1705. In the last years of the reign of Queen Anne of England he was a popular preacher, but her death put an end to his hope of career advancement. He married Anne (Nancy) Minchin, daughter of Thomas Minchin, who died in 1712, and had three children, two of whom died young. The third child, a girl, is said to have reached a great age. The marriage was a very happy one, and it has been said that Thomas never recovered from Nancy's early death. He spent much of his time in London, where he participated with Pope, Swift and others in the Scriblerus Club, contributing to The Spectator and aiding Pope in his translation of The Iliad. He was also one of the so-called "Graveyard poets": his 'A Night-Piece on Death,' widely considered the first "Graveyard School" poem, was published posthumously in Poems on Several Occasions, collected and edited by Alexander Pope and is thought by some scholars to have been published in December 1721. It is said of his poetry, "it was in keeping with his character, easy and pleasing, enunciating the common places with felicity and grace."-bio via Wikipedia This is a public episode.
