On 12 August, the Barada Barna Aboriginal Corporation (BBAC), on behalf of the Barada Barna people, entered into a Native Title Project Agreement (Agreement) with BHP Mitsui Coal Pty Ltd (BMC) for South Walker Creek Mine in Central Queensland. UNCOVERED speak to Luarna Walsh, Chair of Barada Barna Aboriginal Corporation (BBAC), about the negotiation journey. ‘It was like negotiating with your friends…they understood and listened to what we were trying to achieve,' Luarna said.
Vaccines. One of the most talked about topics of 2021 inside and outside of BHP and this month's focus on UNCOVERED. General Manager Peak Downs Mine, Brendan Lynn, joined the podcast to discuss BHP's strong support for vaccination as a critical defence against the game-changing Delta strain and the vaccination assessment currently underway.
