Along with William Carey's Enquiry, The Serampore Form of Agreement (SFA) laid the foundation of the modern missionary movement. The Enquiry recovered the Great Commission as a duty of the church and outlined a practical agenda for its fulfillment. The SFA provided a philosophy and a guide for missionary practice on the field. Both works move boldly from theological first principles to urgent implementation. This commentary on the SFA provides another volume in the William Ward Project begun in 2023 to commemorate the bicentenary of the author's death. Each Statement of the SFA is analyzed by international scholars whose global dispersion and varied denominational commitments give testimony to the continued relevance of this seminal document. An Open Letter to My Unionist NeighboursA Chairde,I want to respectfully reach out to my unionist neighbours at this time of ongoing change on our island and continuous turbulence and conflict in parts of our world. We should count our blessings. Imperfect though it might be we have peace and the ability to work out our difficulties peacefully. This ability to find solutions is frustrated by the British government refusing at this time to permit us to exercise our right to self-determination. So, London continues to interfere in our affairs. In my view, and history supports this view, London will never govern us in Irelands interest. It never has. And it never will. How could it? It serves different national interests.Sometimes these coincide with the attitudes of political unionism. But when they don't political unionism and its attitudes are set to one side by London. This has happened again and again. Betrayal has been followed by betrayal after betrayal. London is only loyal to the unionists when it suits its interests. Those are not my words. These are the words of unionist leaders. I do not think these leaders serve the interests of my unionist neighbours. Certainly not on social or economic issues or the daunting challenges of growing our peace process into a prosperity process. Or a new rights based citizen centred society. Of course, my unionist neighbours are entitled to vote for these parties or anyone else if that is their wish, and political unionism clearly has a deep rooted commitment to the Union with Britain. It used to have things its own way. Maybe some of its leaders still believe that is the case but it isn't. They have lost their electoral majority. The Union is now very conditional and in the upcoming period there will be a referendum to decide the future. The extent of constitutional and institutional change is for the people of the island of Ireland to decide – democratically and without outside interference. The Good Friday Agreement makes clear that constitutional change requires consent, freely given and expressed in referendums North and South. So, political unionism will have its say. But so will the rest of us. On the basis of equality. All the unionist parties have agreed to abide by the outcome of this referendum. This ongoing continuum of change is about shaping a new Ireland, an agreed Ireland, and a new relationship with Britain that enhances our personal and community relationships, strengthens society, makes conflict a memory, ends sectarianism and creates real opportunities to improve the daily lives of citizens. It is about reconciliation and accommodation. It is about the North as a part of the island of Ireland again taking its place as a full member in the European Union. The Good Friday Agreement will provide the best framework of protections for everyone including and especially my unionist neighbours. The Agreement which was democratically supported in referendums North and South and is an all-island international agreement, already provides future protection for citizens. The Agreement guarantees that future governance arrangements will be “exercised with rigorous impartiality on behalf of all the people in the diversity of their identities and traditions and shall be founded on the principles of full respect for, and equality of, civil, political, social and cultural rights, of freedom from discrimination for all citizens, and of parity of esteem and of just and equal treatment for the identity, ethos, and aspirations of both communities; recognise the birthright of all the people of Northern Ireland to identify themselves and be accepted as Irish or British, or both, as they may so choose, and accordingly confirm that their right to hold both British and Irish citizenship is accepted by both Governments and would not be affected by any future change in the status of Northern Ireland.”

Wellington Mayor Andrew Little says rates increases are due to decades of under-spending. However, he told Ryan Bridge the Government's tapped into a justified concern. Little says a lot of people are watching rates rise astronomically along side other costs, and councils need to do a better job at controlling this. The 2009 settlement between Virginia Roberts (now Virginia Giuffre) and Jeffrey Epstein was a confidential agreement reached in the aftermath of her filing a civil lawsuit in federal court in Florida, accusing Epstein of sexual abuse and trafficking her to his powerful associates while she was a minor. Rather than proceed to trial, Epstein opted to settle the case privately, paying Roberts $500,000 in exchange for the dismissal of the lawsuit. The settlement was drafted to include a broad release clause shielding Epstein and a long list of unnamed “potential defendants,” which was widely interpreted as an attempt to protect influential individuals within Epstein's network who might have faced future litigation. The agreement included standard nondisclosure provisions that barred Roberts from publicly discussing details of what she endured. For years, the terms of the settlement remained sealed, fueling public speculation and legal battles about who exactly benefited from the release language. It re-entered the spotlight in later years, especially during litigation involving Prince Andrew, whose legal team argued that the 2009 settlement insulated him from Roberts' 2021 lawsuit alleging sexual assault. When the agreement was unsealed in 2021, the $500,000 payout and the sweeping protections it appeared to offer were confirmed, sparking public outrage and intensified scrutiny of how Epstein used financial leverage to suppress accusations and protect himself and others within his orbit. The unsealing demonstrated how carefully orchestrated legal settlements were used as part of a long-term strategy to silence survivors and prevent broader accountability.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, WJNO's Brian Mudd fills in. President Trump isn't playing games—he's made it crystal clear he's not sitting down with Putin or Zelensky until this peace deal is in its final stages. He's already sent his people to Moscow and Kyiv to iron out the last disagreements, and he says we're getting “very close.” Now, Ukraine is signaling they're ready to move forward, but even they admit the toughest issues have to be handled directly between Trump and Zelensky. After those intense talks in Geneva, Kyiv says they support the “essence” of the deal. Later, in classic Trump fashion, he takes the Thanksgiving turkey pardon—Gobble and Waddle spared—and turns it into a moment to hammer Democrats. He even joked that Biden's turkey pardons last year were “totally invalid” because of an autopen. And let's not forget, this turkey pardon tradition goes way back—Truman got the first bird in 1947, Kennedy offered clemency in '63, and it was George H.W. Bush in '89 who made the “presidential pardon” stick. He also renewed his call for federal intervention in Chicago, saying he could make the city safer in four to ten weeks if Governor Pritzker would let him deploy the National Guard. How do you establish trust in an AI SOC, especially in a regulated environment? Grant Oviatt, Head of SOC at Prophet Security and a former SOC leader at Mandiant and Red Canary, tackles this head-on as a self-proclaimed "AI skeptic". Grant shared that after 15 years of being "scared to death" by high-false-positive AI, modern LLMs have changed the game .The key to trust lies in two pillars: explainability (is the decision reasonable?) and traceability (can you audit the entire data trail, including all 40-50 queries?) . Grant talks about yje critical architectural components for regulated industries, including single-tenancy , bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC) for data sovereignty , and model portability. In this episode we will be comparing AI SOC to traditional MDRs and talking about real-world "bake-off" results where an AI SOC had 99.3% agreement with a human team on 12,000 alerts but was 11x faster, with an average investigation time of just four minutes .Guest Socials - Grant's Linkedin Podcast Twitter - @CloudSecPod If you want to watch videos of this LIVE STREAMED episode and past episodes - Check out our other Cloud Security Social Channels:-Cloud Security Podcast- Youtube- Cloud Security Newsletter If you are interested in AI Cybersecurity, you can check out our sister podcast - AI Security Podcast(00:00) Introduction(02:00) Who is Grant Oviatt?(02:30) How to Establish Trust in an AI SOC for Regulated Environments(03:45) Explainability vs. Traceability: The Two Pillars of Trust(06:00) The "Hard SOC Life": Pre-AI vs. AI SOC(09:00) From AI Skeptic to AI SOC Founder: What Changed? The report from the DOJ's Office of Professional Responsibility found that no prosecutors committed formal misconduct in approving Epstein's 2008 non-prosecution agreement, but condemned Alexander Acosta (then U.S. Attorney in Miami) for “poor judgment” in allowing the deal to proceed without full federal investigation, excluding key evidence, and failing to notify victims before the plea. It noted a troubling 11-month gap in Acosta's emailed records during the critical period when the federal indictment was being drafted and abandoned. The deal also included sweeping immunity for potential co-conspirators, negotiated with minimal transparency, while Epstein was allowed to escape what many considered imminent federal charges.Critically, the report drew fire for virtually ignoring the survivors themselves: meetings with victims, their input, and their statutory rights under the Crime Victims' Rights Act were treated superficially or bypassed entirely. One alleged victim called the report “another slap in the face,” arguing that it served more as a self-protective cover-up than a genuine reckoning of how power, money and institutional apathy let Epstein continue abusing minors. In failing to hold anyone accountable—despite what the survivors and victim-rights advocates say was extensive prosecutorial and institutional failure—the review leaves the deeper questions of enablement, institutional bias and justice for victims unanswered.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

US Greenlights ROK Enrichment, Raising Proliferation Fears Guest: Henry Sokolski, Executive Director of the Non-Proliferation Policy Education Center The US agreement to support the Republic of South Korea's civil uranium enrichment and spent fuel reprocessing for peaceful uses is viewed by Sokolski as a movement toward proliferation. Sokolski notes that this decision greenlights the ROK—a treaty ally with a history of attempting to use its civil programs to make nuclear weapons—to a position similar to Iran's. The ROK successfully leveraged the inconsistency of US policy, pointing out that Japan has permission to enrich and reprocess fuel and possesses a massive plutonium stockpile. Granting the ROK these capabilities sets a concerning precedent, potentially compelling the US to allow other countries like Saudi Arabia to seek similar nuclear options. The proliferation concern is heightened further by the ROK's desire for a nuclear-powered submarine, which could lead to pursuit of a full nuclear weapons triad. 1958

Blending a family takes grace—and so does blending your finances. When couples merge families, they're also merging priorities, habits, and sometimes, financial baggage. Ron Deal joins us today to show us that with honesty and a shared vision, what begins as a challenge can become a source of strength for blended families navigating both money and marriage.Ron Deal is a bestselling author, licensed marriage & family therapist, podcaster, and popular conference speaker who specializes in marriage enrichment and stepfamily education and is the co-author of The Smart Stepfamily Guide to Financial Planning: Money Management Before and After You Blend a Family. Why Honest Money Conversations MatterThere once was a man who, when his girlfriend thought he was about to propose, surprised her by asking for her credit report instead. It's a funny story—but one that reveals a serious truth. Beneath money conversations are usually heart conversations. For couples forming blended families, this truth runs even deeper. Life has already taught them that marriage isn't guaranteed, whether because of death or a divorce. That experience creates an understandable sense of caution: How deeply do I invest again? Can I trust this new relationship?Money becomes the testing ground for those questions. That's why avoiding financial conversations doesn't protect your relationship—it weakens it. Only about one in four dating or engaged couples forming a blended family ever have a serious talk about finances before they marry. The rest often underestimate what needs to be uncovered.Finances are never just about dollars and cents. They're about values, power, and security. Beneath a discussion about budgets might be an unspoken fear: Will your children be treated equally with mine? Beneath a talk about wills might be a hidden worry: Will you care for my kids if I'm gone? There was once a woman who had been remarried for 25 years—two and a half decades of life together—and she still wondered whether her husband would provide equally for her children after she passed away. The question had never been resolved. It lingered from the past, quietly shaping their relationship. When those unspoken fears remain unaddressed, they create invisible walls. Healthy couples have the courage to name them and work through them together. The Challenge of Inheritance and TrustConsider the story of Sandra and Dave, a couple who married later in life. Sandra, a divorced mother of two adult children, was asked by her new husband, Dave, to change her will and make him her sole beneficiary. To Dave, who had no children of his own, the request seemed simple and loving: We're one now—just leave everything to me, and I'll take care of your family. But Sandra hesitated. Her adult children hadn't had time to form a close bond with Dave. For her, the request stirred deep questions: How do I know that what she's set aside for her children will be honored after she's gone? This is where trust, loyalty, and belonging intersect. Financial peace in a blended family isn't achieved through documents—it's achieved through relational clarity. You can't solve financial questions until you've addressed the relational ones.Moving from Prenuptial to TogethernessSo what's the alternative? In the book, The Smart Stepfamily Guide to Financial Planning: Money Management Before and After You Blend a Family, Ron Deal, Greg Pettis, and David Edwards, introduce what they call a “Togetherness Agreement.”Think of it as a redeemed version of a prenuptial agreement. A traditional prenup is something you do to your spouse—it outlines what they won't receive if the marriage fails. But a Togetherness Agreement is something you do for your spouse. It outlines how you will lovingly and intentionally provide for one another and your families. In a Togetherness Agreement, couples prayerfully decide together:How do they care for children from prior relationshipsHow inherited or premarital assets will be handledHow responsibilities to other households or parents will be honoredAnd how they'll support one another financially in love and unityIt's not about dividing assets—it's about uniting hearts. This process builds emotional safety, which in turn builds trust. When couples feel safe, they can finally exhale, knowing they are truly invested in each other.Taking Inventory—Emotionally and FinanciallyBefore crafting any agreement, couples need to take inventory. That means both emotional and financial reflection.Ask questions like:What financial baggage or debts are we bringing in?What past wounds or fears still shape the way we view money? What are our goals—for our family, our faith, and our future?Blended families are always born out of loss—whether death, divorce, or something else. That history doesn't have to define the new relationship, but it does need to be acknowledged. Honest reflection helps couples avoid repeating old patterns and build a healthier foundation together.Every couple's situation is different, but here are key topics that should be covered in a Togetherness Agreement:Joint and separate accountsDebt and financial obligations from prior marriagesChild or spousal support payments to other householdsRetirement, insurance, and investmentsCollege, cars, and other child-related expensesCovering these topics doesn't weaken love—it strengthens it. It replaces assumptions with clarity and fear with peace. If all of this feels overwhelming, take heart. You don't have to figure it out alone. Seek wise counsel—a trusted financial planner, pastor, or Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA) can help you find creative and God-honoring ways to care for your family. And above all, remember this: God's grace is sufficient for your blended family. Submit your plans to Him. Let Him guide the process. As you do, He will grow you—not only in financial wisdom, but in love, unity, and faith. When couples move from mine and yours to ours, they begin to reflect the very heart of God, who makes two one, and who calls us to love generously, even in the way we handle money. On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:I've been struggling with $26,000 in credit card debt that I recently disclosed to my husband. A credit consolidation company says they can negotiate it down, so I'd pay $400 every two weeks and be debt-free in four years. It sounds good, but is this a trustworthy option—or are there drawbacks I should watch out for?I have UTMA accounts for my two sons, but I am considering switching to 529 plans. I'm mainly concerned that with the UTMA, they'll gain full control of the money once they come of age. Would a 529 plan be a wiser choice?Resources Mentioned:Faithful Steward: FaithFi's New Quarterly Magazine (Become a FaithFi Partner)The Smart Stepfamily Guide to Financial Planning: Money Management Before and After You Blend a Family by Ron L.
