This week we begin by giving a quick update on the Kobe Bryant tragedy, and the memorial services planned for some of the victims. We then get into Valentine's Day plans and spend the rest of our time going over all of the All Star Weekend festivities that will be descending on the city of Chicago Feb. 14-16. We have a ton of opinions on each event and how they may play out. The league has made some changes to the game's format this year, and we discuss that, as well as how we think those changes will affect the atmosphere and appeal to watch the game.
This is probably the episode that most represents the title of the show. We begin with a tribute to the untimely passing of Kobe Bryant and the 8 other passengers on board that tragic helicopter flight. We then discuss his legacy, and Frank begins to question the amount of mourning people have been going through with this, specifically whether some of the actions seem to have gone a bit too far. We also discuss the fallout from the big game, and then go off the rails into discussions about legacies and how that relates to what makes a player worthy of Hall of Fame status. As always, thanks for your continued support of us chasing our dream!
We quickly discuss the super bowl and pick winners, and then dive deep into the new Aaron Hernandez documentary on Netflix called "Inside the Mind of a Killer: Aaron Hernandez". Devan and I have some very interesting takes on this, so listen in and enjoy!
This week, I struggle to talk about the results of the divisional round, as my team did not show up. We speak on this week's matchups, and who we think will meet up in the big game. We also discuss some baseball, yes baseball, and the latest on the fallout of the Atros' sign stealing scandal.
We are officially 20 episodes deep! This week is football heavy; as would be expected considering the NFL playoffs are in full swing. We go over each game, and how we think the losing teams will either bounce back, or never be the same. We also make our predictions for the divisional round coming this Saturday. So enjoy our honest opinions on it all, and our natural chemistry with each other in another fun episode! As always, thanks for your continued support!
Episode 20 Eve! We are ringing in the new year with our first episode of 2020. We finally get to our review of The Game's new album "Born 2 Rap", and whether we think it's really his final album ever. Devan and Frank also discuss plans for the new year, and the family summer trip. Lastly, we have Wild Card Weekend to discuss, with the road to the Super Bowl now in our sights. So here's to a happy and healthy 2020, and more fun here with us!
I actually did it! I was able to complete the first season of Amazon's Original "The Boys", so we spend most of the episode discussing the plot. What we enjoyed about the first season, and how the cliffhanger season finale left us torn about the massive reveal. Devan and Frank also discuss the newest album from Fabulous titled "Summertime Shootout 3: Coldest Summer Ever". Lastly we always gotta touch on a little bit of NFL, with an update on the close playoff races in both conferences. Sit back and enjoy as we get closer to hitting 20 episodes of fun and exciting times.
In this week's episode, we finally get to our review of Tory Lanez new album "Chixtape 5". Devan also tells me the story of disgraced Cardinals player Josh Shaw, who was suspended for betting on his own football team. As usual, that takes us down a great road of dialogue involving Illinois and their legalization of Marijuana, and how that may shape the way Arizona handles it’s own possible legalization in 2020. We also go over the recent firing of Panthers coach Ron Rivera, and end the show with a preview of what to expect from us next week. As always, thanks for the support. We greatly appreciate it!
After we had to take a week off, we decided to come back this week and give the listeners 2+ hours of wildly off the rails discussion. We get into what Frank calls his "Marvel Hangover", and also discuss what shows & movies we are looking forward to. Of course as is expected this time of year, we discuss many topics involving the NFL, and finally get around to a little premature NBA opinions. Lastly, Frank brings up his dislike for Thanksgiving food, and Devan thinks he is out of his mind for it. So please sit back and enjoy our longest episode to date! Happy Thanksgiving, and thanks for sticking around to celebrate a whole year of "Where Was I Going With This?".
