Posibles novedades relacionadas con Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Libertad absoluta. Eventos arcade. Primeras impresiones de Yoshi and the Mysterious Book El otro gran análisis del episodio gira alrededor de Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. Un nuevo RPG basado en The Lord of the Rings desarrollado por Warhorse Studios. In this engaging conversation, Matthew Distefano explores the profound themes of love, morality, and storytelling through the lens of video games like The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption 2. He wrote a killer book on it called "Saints, Sinners, and Clickers: Love and Loss in The Last of Us". The monthly video gaming briefing from GameBurst documents significant industrial milestones alongside ongoing corporate restructuring across major publishers. Leading the news, Subnautica 2 has launched into Early Access today on PC and Xbox Series X|S. Developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, the title includes four-player cooperative mechanics and an updated Unreal Engine 5 foundation. The release follows a protracted development period marked by internal leadership disputes and legal conflict involving its publisher. In corporate developments, Capcom has reported record annual performance for the fiscal year ending March 2026, with 59 million total units sold. The results were driven heavily by Resident Evil Requiem, pushing the franchise past 200 million lifetime sales. Separately, retail data suggests pre-orders for Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 6 are imminent, prompting industry speculation ahead of Take-Two Interactive's quarterly earnings call. Further updates include Nintendo's decision to bring forward the theatrical release of the live-action Legend of Zelda film to April 2027, alongside the expansion of the Nintendo Switch Online service to include five additional Virtual Boy titles. Sony also confirmed the addition of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars Outlaws to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers. The update concludes with the panel's Picks of the Week, covering Mixtape, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, and contemporary tabletop gaming. #gameburst Featured Video Links Quinns Quest Reviews: Stonetop

In 2005, Remedy Entertainment walked onto the E3 show floor with a stunning technology demonstration and one of the most ambitious pitches in gaming: an open world psychological thriller set in a hauntingly beautiful corner of the Pacific Northwest, built around a horror writer whose nightmares had come to life. What they didn't have was a game. This week, David and Rob trace the full story of Alan Wake, from the year of concepting that followed Max Payne 2, through the open world experiment that nearly broke the studio, to the two month Sauna Group intervention that rebuilt everything from the inside out, and the May 2010 release that landed in the same week as Red Dead Redemption. It is a story about a small Finnish studio that bet the farm on a game they hadn't figured out yet, found its heart in a moment of crisis, and built something that refused to be forgotten, on today's trip down Memory Card Lane.Read transcript

Check out Cam's latest novel / audio drama here! What do you get when you combine the dark fantasy of Van Helsing with the horror of old school Universal monster movies — and then sprinkle a healthy dash of Red Dead Redemption on top? Well, you get Evil West, the outrageously fun fantasy horror western hidden gem that is the subject of this episode. Topics include: the ingenious gameplay hybrid of God of War 2018 and Doom Eternal, the power of contrast and saturation in art direction, puzzle piece enemy design, the restraint of a great fight, and the perfect "thrill ride" pacing of the Xbox 360 generation. In today's Daily Fix:Fan-favorite Star Wars character Mara Jade is apparently stuck in the non-canon Legends universe, as Lucasfilm apparently isn't ready—or doesn't want—to bring her back. Veteran Star Wars authors Claudia Grey and Timothy Zahn (who created Mara Jade in the 90s), have repeatedly asked Lucasfilm about finding a way to bring her into the new Disney-era canon, but they've been turned down. In other news, Karl Urban is having another banner year, with the highly-anticipated final season of The Boys set to premiere on Amazon, and a starring role as Johnny Cage in the Mortal Kombat sequel. But there's another adaptation he's ready to tackle: Red Dead Redemption. And finally, Ralph Fienness won't be returning as Lord Voldemort in the HBO Harry Potter series, but he does have a suggestion as to who should take up the noseless role, and it's a pretty good one.

Dan Houser described American Caper as being fueled by his fascination with “hypocrites, sociopaths, political idiots, dysfunctional families, and violence.” When you first saw the concept for this story, what immediately stood out to you as something that felt especially relevant to the moment we're living in? 2. The series pulls together a wild mix of characters. A Mormon hitman, a gambling-addicted lawyer, escaped convicts in love, a billionaire playing cowboy. How did you approach balancing such a large ensemble so the story feels chaotic in a good way rather than overwhelming? 3. Verona, Wyoming feels like a pressure cooker where crime, politics, and personal drama all collide. What was important to you in making this small town feel believable while still allowing it to host such extreme characters and situations? 4. The book leans hard into satire, sometimes feeling like it's taking shots at every side of the political spectrum. Was there ever a concern about walking that line between satire that provokes thought and satire that might alienate readers? 5. The story's interconnected crimes and morally gray characters gave me flashes of crime epics like 100 Bullets, where one event ripples across many lives. When building a narrative this tangled, how do you keep track of the cause and effect between characters? 6. Lazlow, your background includes storytelling in massive open-world games like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. Did working on a comic require a different approach to pacing and structure compared to interactive storytelling? 7. (Fun question) If each of you had to survive in Verona, Wyoming for a week, which of these characters would you trust the most to have your back, and which one would you avoid at all costs?

We're talking all about Survivor's 50th Season Premiere because I got invited to be a part of a Q&A panel for the show tonight with former stars of Survivor! Guess being on Fox's The Floor finally paid off, eh? Huge thanks to Matt Bischoff and Little Miami Brewing for putting this together. I brought in Lucky, as he's the biggest Survivor fan that I know; we talked about the show, we talked a little strategy, but we REALLY talked about all kinds of fun international fruits that we tried here. Turns out, we should learn a little more about picking ripe fruit before the show starts! Along the way, we get off on some delightful tangents leading into me giving one of my classic passionate speeches about media criticism framed around great games and movies like Red Dead Redemption 2, and the original Ninja Turtles franchise. I can't stop looking at my dog Morison, who is a DEAD RINGER for Master Splinter, and saying "All fathers care for their sons." Anyway, it's another fun one from us, it's silly, and we tried a lot of fruit. "This is the wettest the podcast has ever been, and you can quote me on that" - Mark Borison

This internal move, confirmed via regulatory filing on February 17, 2026, shifts approximately 11 million shares—previously making PIF Take-Two's second-largest shareholder—without any sale or exit from the company. This consolidation aligns with PIF's broader strategy, including a January 2026 announcement to transfer around $12 billion in gaming-related shares to Savvy, encompassing stakes in Nintendo, Bandai Namco, and expected positions in Koei Tecmo, NCSoft, Nexon, and Square Enix. Savvy Games Group emerges as the Kingdom's central vehicle for global gaming investments. The timing is notable ahead of Grand Theft Auto VI's 2026 release, with Take-Two's portfolio featuring GTA, Red Dead Redemption, NBA 2K, Borderlands, and Zynga's mobile titles driving market focus.Analytic Dreamz also covers PIF's separate $55 billion agreement (with partners) to acquire Electronic Arts, expected to close later in 2026, further deepening Saudi exposure to AAA publishing, U.S. gaming, and international publishers. This restructuring centralizes holdings under Savvy, maintaining strong Saudi capital ties to major franchises and the industry's biggest upcoming launch. Most of us know what we should do to be healthier: eat better, move more, sleep well. The real challenge? Actually following through. On today's show, I talk to behavioral psychologist Amantha Imber, author of The Health Habit, who argues that the missing piece in most health advice isn't more information — it's learning how to bridge the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it.Amantha first outlines four “habit hijackers” that sabotage your best-laid plans and shares practical, research-backed tactics to overcome each one. We then dive into some specific health habits that will give you a lot of transformative bang for your buck. We discuss how restricting your sleep can help you sleep better, the truth about the popular 10,000 steps a day recommendation, the underrated power of an after-dinner walk, and more.Resources Related to the PodcastHijacker Survey LinkRelated AoM Podcasts:The Psychology of Effective Weight LossHow to Hack the Habit Loop to Build a Better LifeThe Microbiome Master KeyRelated AoM Articles: Unlocking the Science of HabitsThe Science of Drive: 5 Theories of MotivationThe Power of Temptation BundlingThe 10 Best Ways to Make Exercise an Unbreakable HabitThe Importance of a Good Start: Using Temporal Landmarks to Achieve Your GoalsAoM “Sleep” archivesAoM “Habits” archivesThe Power of Implementation IntentionsThe Digestive Power of an After-Dinner WalkThe Existential in Red Dead Redemption 2 Sleep Restriction and Cognitive Behavioral TherapyStudy: Holding the Hunger Games Hostage at the GymStudy: “I Don't” vs “I Can't” Study: The Fresh Start EffectStudy: Designing More Effective Goals by Using Emergency Reserves (“Hall Passes”) Study: Untapping the Health Enhancing Potential of Vigorous Intermittent Lifestyle Physical Activity (VILPA)Study: Reduced exertion high-intensity interval trainingConnect With Amantha ImberAmantha's websiteAmantha on LinkedInAmantha on InstagramAmantha's podcast, How I WorkSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
When it comes to the evolving gaming market, there's a lot for Sony to keep an eye on in the years and decades to come. To keep PlayStation the vibrant brand it is today, the company needs to spread the field, and two newly-announced projects -- an all-new co-op multiplayer game from the director of Left 4 Dead and a mobile port of mega-popular baseball franchise MLB: The Show -- fit the bill nicely. It's true that Sony has had more than its fair share of false starts (and even outright failures) in both the mobile and games-as-a-service space. Yet, there's gold in them there hills. Lots of it. Can Sony finally slay some off-platform and off-genre demons and reap some rewards? We discuss. Plus: Nixxes helps reduce Helldivers 2's PC file size by an astounding 85%, Bungie has apparently solved its dispute with the artist it purportedly stole Marathon-related art from, Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games finds itself in self-inflicted financial duress, Amazon has already renewed the God of War TV show for a second season, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! Has leaking culture gone too far? Will Micron's exit from the consumer RAM business affect console manufacturing? How can people find likeminded gaming friends online? Can we please do away with adult gift-giving once and for all? Please keep in mind that our timestamps are approximate, and will often be slightly off due to dynamic ad placement. 0:00:00 - Intro0:52:36 - Juices flowing0:54:56 - YouTube Recap1:08:13 - Colin dying1:11:02 - Switching to no presents1:21:02 - PlayStation partners with Bad Robot1:35:15 - The Show: Mobile releases1:46:06 - Helldivers 2 PC install sized down1:53:26 - Helldivers 2 movie has a director2:03:31 - Amazon orders two seasons of God of War2:08:14 - Bungie settles with artist over stolen art2:11:45 - Yacht Club Games may be in trouble2:27:26 - Saudi PIF will own 93.4% of EA2:31:22 - IO confirms Hitman 42:36:53 - Splinter Cell Remake director returns2:40:15 - Tomba 2 gets a release date2:43:10 - November's top PSN downloads2:45:16 - What We're Playing (Ball x Pit, Metal.
