The Wolves Among Us podcast captivated me from the very first episode. The storytelling and production of this podcast is top-notch, making it a highly enjoyable listening experience. As someone who has spent a significant amount of time in the Philadelphia suburbs and worked in a similar field as Larry Lavin, I found this season to be incredibly relatable. The interviews with the real people involved in the story, including Larry himself, added an authentic and personal touch that drew me in even further. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this season and am eagerly looking forward to future seasons of this podcast.

One of the best aspects of The Wolves Among Us podcast is its excellent storytelling. The episodes are well-paced and each one leaves you wanting more. The use of interviews with the actual people involved in the story adds depth and authenticity to the narrative. I particularly loved hearing from Larry himself, as his warm personality was evident even through audio recordings. This podcast also does a great job of highlighting the connections between Larry Lavin's story and that of Walter White from Breaking Bad, demonstrating how real-life events can inspire fictional narratives.

While there weren't many negative aspects to this podcast, one slight drawback was that it could have delved deeper into certain aspects of Larry's life. I would have liked to hear more about his family life and his current situation after being released from prison. Additionally, it would have been fascinating to hear from FBI agents involved in the case, although I understand that obtaining those interviews may have been difficult or impossible.

In conclusion, The Wolves Among Us is an excellent podcast that tells a gripping true crime story with skillful narration and compelling interviews. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone interested in true crime or captivating storytelling. It left me wanting more and eagerly anticipating future seasons.

Welcome to Season Two of Gone South, the Edward R. Murrow-Award winning documentary podcast from C13Originals.  Starting in the sixties, a loose-knit confederation of traveling criminals known as The Dixie Mafia terrorized every state from Georgia to Oklahoma. Its hundreds of members, unofficially headquartered in Biloxi, Mississippi, specialized in scams, heists and murder. Their alleged leader — the estranged son of a prominent Oklahoma politician — was a skilled and charismatic outlaw named Kirksey Nix. In 1972, when Nix was sentenced to life in prison at Angola for a murder he committed in New Orleans, The Dixie Mafia was thought to be extinct. But fifteen years later, a sitting criminal court judge named Vincent Sherry and his wife Margaret, a mayoral candidate for the city of Biloxi, were assassinated. As the case ran cold, authorities were forced to confront a disturbing reality: The Dixie Mafia was not done yet.  Gone South is a creation and production of Peabody-nominated C13Originals, a Cadence13 studio, in association with Jed and Tom Lipinski.
