In this explosive episode, former USC football standout Owen Hanson—once living the dream on the field—reveals how he plunged into the dark underworld of the Sinaloa Cartel, moving hundreds of millions in cocaine across continents. Known as “O-Dog”, Hanson opens up about his journey from campus celebrity and sports bookmaker to international drug trafficker working directly with El Chapo's network. Host Johnny Mitchell dives deep into Hanson's transformation—from selling steroids to teammates at USC, to orchestrating high-level cartel deals spanning Peru, Mexico, Australia, and the U.S. Hanson recounts the lavish highs, the paranoia of living double lives, and the eventual FBI sting that brought it all crashing down. Now a free man and entrepreneur, Hanson shares how he rebuilt himself after prison, founding California Ice Protein and using his story to warn others about ego, greed, and the illusion of power. This episode blends crime, redemption, and raw honesty—a gripping story of how a promising athlete became a global kingpin, and how he's now rewriting his legacy. Go Support Owen! On this week's episode, Cody kicks things off with an enthusiastic discussion about some of the exciting news emerging from the highly anticipated New York Comic-Con 2025. He shares with Joe the thrilling announcement regarding the much-celebrated return of Jessica Jones, a character that has garnered a loyal fanbase, as she will be portrayed once again by the talented actress Kristen Ritter in the upcoming season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. This revival has sparked a wave of excitement among fans, who are eager to see how Jessica's character will evolve within the gritty narrative of Hell's Kitchen. Additionally, Cody reveals that there will be a new addition to the cast for this season: none other than Matthew Lillard, known for his diverse roles in both film and television, who will take on the character of Mr. Charles. This character is expected to serve as a formidable rival to Vincent D'Onofrio's iconic portrayal of Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. The dynamic between these characters promises to add depth and intrigue to the unfolding storylines.Continuing the conversation, Cody expresses his enthusiasm about Edgar Wright's upcoming project, The Running Man, which has been generating buzz in the film community. He discusses the unique approach Wright is known for, particularly his ability to blend humor with action, and how this might redefine the classic narrative originally conceived by Stephen King. Cody's excitement is palpable as he transitions to a discussion about anime, specifically highlighting his anticipation for the new season of One-Punch Man. This leads to an engaging dialogue between the two about the intricacies of anime, including the often-controversial topic of filler episodes. They explore how filler can sometimes detract from the main storyline, yet also provide opportunities for character development and world-building, leading to a deeper appreciation of the medium. As the episode progresses, the conversation shifts to literature, with both Cody and Joe sharing insights about the books they are currently reading. Cody dives into a discussion about The End of the World as We Know It: New Tales of Stephen King's The Stand, a collection of short stories that expand upon the universe of King's iconic novel. He elaborates on how these new tales offer fresh perspectives and narratives that enrich the original story, and how they resonate with contemporary themes of survival and morality. Joe then shares his own literary journey, revealing that he has started reading the latest installment in the Robert Langdon series, titled The Secret of Secrets. This prompts a lively exchange about Dan Brown's distinctive writing style, his penchant for weaving intricate puzzles, and the thrill of uncovering hidden truths within historical contexts. To wrap up the episode, the guys delve into a discussion about the novel "S." by Doug Dorst and J.J. Abrams. They explore the innovative narrative structure of the book, which combines a story with margins filled with annotations, letters, and other ephemera that create a multi-layered reading experience. Cody and Joe contemplate the implications of such a format on storytelling and how it challenges traditional narratives, inviting readers to engage in a more interactive way. Their conversation reflects a shared appreciation for creativity in literature and the evolving nature of storytelling in both books and other media. Overall, this episode is packed with insights, excitement, and a celebration of the rich tapestry of storytelling across various platforms.Official Website: https://www.comesnaturallypodcast.comOfficial Merchandise: https://shop.spreadshirt.com/comes-naturally-podcast/iTunes: http://tinyurl.com/kqkgackFacebook: http://tinyurl.com/myovgm8Tumblr: http://tinyurl.com/m7a6mg9Twitter: @ComesNaturalPodYouTube: http://tiny.cc/5snxpy

Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes While Marvel Studios allegiance to San Diego and Hall H seems to have waned in recent years, not so for last weekend's New York City Comic Con where our favorite cinematic universe teased the latest and greatest for their small screen offerings. The series was confirmed for a March 2026 release on Disney Plus and we also learned Wilson Bethel's Bullseye will return and Matthew Lillard will be an antagonist to Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin. Separate from NYCC, but still worth mentioning on the subject of Daredevil: Born Again, speaking with Entertainment Tonight Marvel TV Head Brad Winderbaum shared the season's connection to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, saying "We are communicating a lot with the team on Spider-Man: Brand New Day to make sure that there's coherence there. But right now, this is about the future of the DCU.” Gunn also shared that he spoke with Ryan Reynolds about a Deadpool cameo in Peacemaker and that while the actor was interested, the logistics required to pull off the crossover were ultimately deemed too daunting.Despite Tron: Ares' number one spot debut at the box office last weekend with a $60.5 million global haul, the numbers are disappointingly muted when weighed against projections of $85-95 million and a reported $180 million budget. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another unfiltered, no-holds-barred episode of the Mike Drop Podcast—where relevancy is irrelevant, and we dive headfirst into the raw stories of warriors, survivors, and straight-up legends. In the shadowy underbelly of the early internet, one man turned the tables on a digital predator like no one else could. Dr. James McGibney, a former U.S. Marine and founder of Bullyville.com, orchestrated the downfall of Hunter Moore—the infamous "revenge porn king" behind IsAnyoneUp.com, the site's explosive takedown chronicled in Netflix's gripping documentary The Most Hated Man on the Internet. What started as a personal vow to infiltrate Moore's world, befriend him, and dismantle his empire from the inside became a masterclass in digital vigilantism, proving that sometimes, to beat a bully, you have to out-bully them. But McGibney's story isn't just about cyber sleuthing; it's forged in the fires of unimaginable hardship. Born in the South Bronx, he endured a childhood ripped apart by domestic violence, foster care horrors—including abuse that left scars deeper than code—and a burning quest for retribution that shaped his unyielding drive. From ripping out his own braces in a defiant act of rebellion to channeling that rage into protecting the vulnerable, McGibney's path reveals how personal demons fuel world-changing justice. Buckle up for this mike drop episode, where McGibney drops raw truths on everything from his Marine days and cyber security expertise to the meticulous, "psychotic" beauty of intelligent revenge. It's a riveting blend of heartbreak, heroism, and hard-won wisdom that reminds us: in a world of anonymous cowards, one voice—amplified by grit—can shatter empires. Learn more about your ad choices. The Superhero Show #600The Spider Wars Begin With Spider-Carnage's RiseThe Superhero Show Show: Spider Wars Begins With Spider-Carnage's RiseJoin the hosts of The Superhero Show Show as they dive headfirst into Spider Wars, the thrilling final arc of Spider-Man: The Animated Series. This week, they break down episode 5.12, Spider Wars, Chapter 1: I Really, Really Hate Clones. Here, the multiverse starts to unravel, and Spider-Carnage takes center stage as one of Spider-Man's most terrifying foes.Spider-Carnage Emerges in Spider WarsTo begin, the panel explores how the episode immediately escalates the stakes. A sinister fusion of Spider-Man's clone and Carnage, Spider-Carnage threatens to destroy all of reality. As Spider-Man uncovers a web of alternate versions of himself, the hosts explain how the show skillfully balances high-concept storytelling with Peter Parker's emotional turmoil over identity and betrayal. Moreover, with the multiverse in danger, Madame Web steps in to guide Spider-Man through the chaos. Consequently, he must ally with unexpected counterparts, even when trust is difficult. The discussion emphasizes how the episode sets up an epic confrontation, establishing Spider-Carnage as both a physical and psychological threat.A Multiverse of Spider-MenNext, the hosts have a blast discussing the debut of multiple Spider-Men, ranging from armored Spidey to powerless Peter Parker. Furthermore, each variant brings unique quirks to the team. The panel praises how the episode gives every version a distinct personality, while still reinforcing Spider-Man's core theme of responsibility. In addition, they highlight the fun interplay between these heroes as they reluctantly come together under Madame Web's guidance.Building Toward the Spider Wars FinaleAs the tension continues to rise, the group reflects on how Spider Wars pushes the scale higher than anything the series has done before. Not only did the Red Skull, Kingpin, and other classic villains once threaten New York, but now Spider-Carnage threatens all of existence. Therefore, the hosts commend the episode's tight pacing, sharp writing, and willingness to push Peter Parker into uncharted emotional territory.Final Thoughts: Spider Wars Begins With a BangIn conclusion, the hosts agree that Spider Wars, Chapter 1: I Really, Really Hate Clones is an electrifying start to this final arc. With its bold multiverse concept, compelling Spider-Man variants, and the chilling menace of Spider-Carnage, this chapter successfully sets the stage for an unforgettable Spider Wars finale. Ultimately, whether you're a lifelong fan or discovering the series for the first time, this podcast episode shows why this storyline remains one of the most iconic moments in animated superhero history.Links and ResourcesMissed our previous episodes of Spider-Man the Animated Series? Episode 77 - Murdock and Marvel: 2009 Part 2 2009 was a tough year for comics, in that sales declined and a number of stores (nearly 50% in some areas) closed their doors. Closings of Waldenbooks and other book outlets also made getting product into customers' hands difficult. We also saw cover prices rise, even as the recession continued to impact fans ability to spend. This is part 2 of the podcast. that will feature the year in Daredevil, the Spotlight story and the Takeaway for 2009. The Year in Daredevil Appearances: Daredevil #113-119, 500-501, Daredevil Noir #1-4, Dark Reign: The List – Daredevil #1, New Avengers #47, Secret Invasion #8, Secret Invasion: Front Line #5, Age of Sentry #4 and 6, Fantastic Four #562 and 569, Might Avengers #20, What If? Newer Fantastic Four #1, What If? Secret Wars #1, New Warriors #20, Amazing Spider-Man #587 and 600, Marvels: Eye of the Camera #2 and 4, Ultimate Spider-Man #132, Astonishing Tales #3-5, Dark Reign: Fantastic Four #2-3, Deadpool: Suicide Kings #3-5, Exiles #6, Strange Tales #2 and Marvel 70th Anniversary Collection. Writing: Ed Brubaker (#113-119, 500), Andy Diggle (#501) Pencils: Michael Lark (#113-114, 117-119), Lark, Tony Zonjic and Gaudiano (#115), David Aja (#116), Lark and Gaudiano (#500), Roberto De La Torre (#501) Inks: Stefano Gaudiano (#113-114, 116-119), Matt Hollingsworth (#115), Klaus Janson, Chris Samnee and Paul Azaceta (#500), Roberto De La Torre (#501) 2009 begins with the final three parts of the Lady Bullseye storyline we talked about to finish up 2008. In that we Daredevil, Black Tarantula and White Tiger along with Master Izo trying to take down the Hand once and for all – but the Hand are trying to recruit Daredevil to be their leader. The story ends with Lord Hirochi, Lady Bullseye, Black Tarantula, and White Tiger board a plane to Spain, where Lady Bullseye says they will pursue Plan B. In March, we get the return of another old foe – Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin himself in an aptly titled story called Return of the King. In part one of the story, we see Fisk in Spain where he befriends and falls in love with a woman, Marta, and her kids – only to see Lady Bullseye and the Hand killing them causing him to revert back to his old ways. Kingpin returns to New York and announces his return and his plans to deal with Daredevil. That plan turns out to be working with Daredevil to take down the Hand. Meanwhile, Foggy is upset that Matt constant absence from the firm confronts him and ultimately fires him. Daredevil tries to locate Master Izo without success and begins to doubt his alliance with Kingpin, suspecting that Fisk is using the Hand and the Owl to wipe out his rivals. Fisk, still haunted by visions of Vanessa, meets with the Owl and gives him Lady Bullseye's next target – Foggy Nelson. The conclusion of this story – is a renumbered issue 500 of Daredevil and the conclusion of Ed Brubaker on Daredevil – will be our spotlight story for this week. In Dark Reign: The List – Daredevil #1 we see Bullseye (now operating under the Hawkeye identity) go after Daredevil at the behest of Norman Osborn. Daredevil pursues him but falls into a trap: Bullseye lures him into a building full of protestors and then blows it up. The blast kills 107 people, leaving Matt devastated and furious—determined to take action. Following that we get the start of a new story from new creative team - Andy Diggle and Roberto De La Torre entitled The Devil's Hand. In it, we see Matt as leader of the Hand. Since most of this story takes place in 2010 – we'll save talking about it more until our 2010 discussion. As regular listeners will know, I spent seven years living in the greater Puget Sound area and despite having lived in eight different states, it's one of two places that will always be home to me. There's something about small Washington State towns that can feel delightfully out of time and there's no greater contrast to them than the technology centric hub that is Seattle crowned by its futuristic Space Needle. It elicits a range of complex emotions as a former local that the visitor will never understand primary among them is a clash between modern advancement and the struggle of smaller coastal communities to hold onto their ways of life and cultural identities. This was my personal filter going into reading The Stoneshore Register, a delightful new graphic novel from Dark Horse Comics and I have the perfect person to hang out to tell us all about it, first time guest G. Willow Wilson. Yes, I do go off on a bit of a tangent about gardening but we'll call that a Poison Ivy interlude, and we wrap things up covering what we can expect to see in Marvel's new ongoing Black Cat series.
In this episode of SuperHero Homies, we start with a deep dive into the latest Spider-Man: Brand New Day rumors! Could we see Punisher and Hulk teaming up with Spidey? Will Stranger Things star Joe Keery step into the role of Harry Osborn? After our 25-minute Spider-Man-packed cold open, we jump into our full Eyes of Wakanda review. This new Marvel Studios Animation series takes us on missions with Wakandan operatives recovering stolen artifacts — but does it deliver on its promise? We review all four episodes, ranking our favorites, and discussing:
After featuring Funky Fluid/Nerdbrewing collab last week, we thought it woudl be fun to return to Poland and try some more beers. Funky Fluid Gelato is their marquee beer. They crank out a lot of them. Stefan picked up Plum and Cherry Jam Gingerbread. Swedes love these flavors so it's only natural that we should have this beer on the show. At 5.5% AVB you can expect lots of flavor and excitement from the Gelato series (individual experiences may vary). Browar Kingpin is a new brewery for us. Burlesca says it's a farmhouse ale or saison. We didn't find it to be either of those things. This saison was aged in Rondo dry red wine barrels. #beer #craftbeer #drinks #pastrysour #farmhouseale #saison #polishbeer #sourbeer

Send us a textAs promised, this week on episode #109 of "Fabulous Film & Friends we're going to weigh in on the two big ticket super hero extravaganzas from the Summer of 2025: James Gunn's Superman starring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Skyler Gisando, Wendell Pierce, Edi Gathegi, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Sara Sampaio and Nicholas Hoult up against The Fantastic Four: First Steps directed by Matt Shakman and starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Julia Garner and Ralph Ineson. Using this jarringly awkward info to turn public opinion against our hero, Luthor has also made a clone of Superman called Ultraman who continually batters and beats the Man of Steel into submission. On top of that, Luthor has a Pocket Universe where he jails his enemies including his ex-girlfriends. And Lex has Ultraman place Superman in a cage with another a super powered being named Metamorpho who can weaken Superman by turning his hands into Kryptonite. Ultimately, Luthor's cruelty overwhelms Metamorpho who helps Superman escape the pocket universe but it in doing so, the unstable dimensional rift threatens to swallow Earth. It is only with the help of scrappy reporter Lois Lane and a team of heroes called The Justice Gang that Superman that is able to beat Ultraman, Luthor and close the rift. There's also some political stuff going on with two made up countries going to War because of Luthor's manipulations. In The Fantastic Four: First Steps it has been four years since Reed Richards, Sue Storm, her brother Johnny and Ben Grimm were transformed by cosmic rays into the world's protectors, super stretchy genius Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch and the rock man known as The Thing who are biggest celebrities on the planet. Galactus tells the Fantastic Four that he will spare Earth in exchange for their yet unborn child, but that his too high a price to pay. With the public opinion against them, and world watching nervously, the team springs into action and devises a incredible plan to teleport planet earth into the far reaches of space. But then the Surfer and Galactus arrive and put the kabosh on the plan so the FF amends the plan to send Galactus himself into the far reaches of space, which seemed like the better strategy to begin with. Stashed founder Elliot Tanner has many talents, like making ultra-light climbing gear and designing components for Marker's Kingpin touring binding. But that's not all: he also built his own high-pivot, gearbox-equipped Enduro bikes, and that was before high-pivots or gearboxes were cool. But it wasn't until his family had amassed more bikes than they had room for that he got the inspiration to create a bike storage solution. We caught up with Elliot to chat about that first design, and how it went from something he built to solve his storage problem to the Spacerail Bike Storage System that is the foundation of Stashed, plus a whole lot more.RELATED LINKS:BLISTER+ Get Yourself CoveredStashedTOPICS & TIMES:Elliot's Engineering BackgroundDesigning Climbing GearMaking Marker KingPin ComponentsElliot's High-Pivot Gearbox BikesDesigning his First Bike Storage SystemFounding StashedManufacturing in WalesWhat's hanging on Elliot's Spacerail Favorite Place to RideCHECK OUT OUR OTHER PODCASTS:Blister CinematicGEAR:30Blister PodcastCRAFTED Hosted on Acast.
