Sōzō is a Greek word meaning “to save”. According to Strong’s Concordance, the full meaning is to deliver or protect, heal, preserve, and be made whole. Once a person receives Jesus Christ as their Savior, the process of sōzō begins. Join us as we seek to understand sōzō and live it every day.
God's love or human love? Romantic love or platonic love? We all know there are different kinds of love. But what does the Bible teach us about love? The Bible says that we are to love our enemies and our neighbors, the same as we love ourselves. That's impossible, you say! Take a listen as I unpack the conversation between Jesus and Peter found in John 21:15-17 and we discuss the different meanings of love.Follow us on Facebook and join us every Tuesday at 6:30pm on Zoom.https://www.facebook.com/groups/Women.of.Sozo
Love is a word that gets thrown around in our society far too often. We've lost the meaning of love, confusing emotion for the action of love. What is love? How can we walk in love, and rightly judge to know if we are being loved?Join us as we dive deeper into the very essence of our walk with Christ, the second greatest command, that we love our neighbor as ourselves. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Mercy triumphs....blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy. For His mercy endures forever. What does all this mean for our daily walk with Christ? And how can we possibly have mercy on those awful people who have hurt us so badly, or hurt our loved ones? To have mercy, show mercy means you have compassion or show kindness towards someone. The Bible says that we will only obtain mercy if we have shown mercy. It's hard enough to forgive, but do we really have to show mercy too?Join us as we unpack scripture and work out our salvation with fear and trembling.Join us at Women of Sozo on Facebook.https://www.facebook.com/groups/Women.of.Sozo/
Ever feel like you just got nothing to offer? Yet there is always something in your heart. And out of your heart, the mouth speaks. What's in your heart? What are you speaking, and does it really matter? The Bible says that it matters a great deal what you speak. God spoke the world into existence, and we're made in the image of God. So it stands to reason that what you speak matters a great deal.Join us as we talk about the power of our words, as formed in our hearts and our imagination, and challenge each other to pay attention to what we're imagining and the words that we speak. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Women.of.Sozo/
Jesus said, "Don't be afraid. Just believe." If you've ever struggled with that little word, 'believe', let's talk about it. It's easy to define the word 'believe', but a lot harder to actually define what it means to actually do it.Jesus answers those followers who asked him, "What does God want us to do?" in John 6:29 ..."This is the work of God, that you believe in Him who He sent."Victory happens at the moment when you open the door of your heart to believing. And it's not just in believing the word "Jesus". To believe is to have the knowledge of HIm in who you believe. You see, the power of victory comes from Him who is seated on the throne of your heart. That is only where the victory happens when miracles are released in your life. Join us as we discuss what it means to believe in Jesus...just believe.
Have you ever used the Name of Jesus and been left defeated, heartbroken trying to figure out what went wrong? Maybe you've been in church your whole life and been taught to pray in Jesus' Name, yet your victories in Christ are so slight that you forget you even prayed. The seven sons of Sceva mentioned in Acts 19 might have felt this way. They were traveling Jewish exorcists, men who made it their life to cast out demons. Yet even Jesus questioned how they were casting out demons (Luke 11:19). These sons of Sceva heard the message of Jesus from Paul, then attempted to use the Name for themselves, and they were sorely defeated. The demon said to them, "Jesus I know; and Paul I am acquainted with. But who are you?"If you've ever felt like this, then take a listen here. Knowledge of the Christ IN YOU makes all the difference in the world. From casting out demons, to healing the sick (or yourself), having an increasing knowledge of the Greater One IN YOU will transform your life.Read Acts 19:11-18

Mark 1:8 says…but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit. Every believer, everyone who calls themselves a disciple of Christ should seek and expect such a baptism with the Holy Spirit. Even Jesus was baptized with the Holy Spirit, as a separate experience from water baptism. Jesus commanded his disciples in Luke, “I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” The disciples needed to be empowered by the Holy Spirit before they went out and preached the gospel to all nations. If Jesus commanded it prior to service to Him, shouldn't we be seeking such a baptism as this? What does baptism mean, and why is it so important?Join us as we begin to unpack the subject of the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
The victory of Jesus is when the forces of darkness and sin and death have been conquered in our own hearts through the living presence of the power of the Lord Jesus Christ IN US. It didn't end with the cross. It didn't end with the empty tomb. It didn't even end when Jesus was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. This was but the beginning!
Jesus demonstrated God our Father to the world, for He was the will of God in action. Therefore, we must demonstrate Christ to the world and be the will of Christ in action. To do that, we must walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, as Christ intended. Without His power at work in us, we can't do anything. Let's not neglect so great a salvation and choose to walk in the freedom of Christ: freedom from sin, sickness, and disease. Christ is victorious, and we must be living examples of His Victory. That is how we demonstrate Christ to the world.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ revolutionized the world, turning everything upside down. We begin this week with Matt.7:2 with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. What measure are you using with God? If we've been redeemed in all compartments of life, spirit, soul and body, then what about sin? Aren't we still sinful in our nature, and how does this impact our successful Christian life?As children of God, we've been set free from the law of sin and death – we are meant to reign in life. THIS LIFE! Join us to discuss these questions, and sharpen each other.
What does it mean to be a Christian? What does a successful Christian life look like? This week we tackle these questions, getting to the very heart of our foundation in Christ. We are spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body. We are triune beings made in the image of God. Salvation is not only for our spirits but for our souls (our minds) and our bodies as well. Receiving Jesus as your Savior is much more than a ticket to enteral life in heaven. We were meant to reign in this life! If you're not reigning in this life, here and now, then join us and build your foundation.
How can we climb out of a lifetime of wrong thinking, put action to our faith, and do the Word? The answer lies in understanding, at a heart level, who Jesus is and what He did for you. Why did we need a Redeemer, and what is our position now as a child of God? Without this foundational knowledge, our faith becomes a striving of our selves, instead of the reigning christ-(wo)man that He's called us to be. (Romans 5:17) Join us as we talk about it.
This bonus podcast is my personal testimony about physical healing for my body. Our testimonies are important for encouraging each other. I'm passionate about the Word and what Jesus did for us. According to Hebrews 7:25 Jesus "is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him." The word "save" used here is sōzō and means to be healed and made whole. Jesus not only came to give us eternal life in heaven one day, but Jesus also came to do the will of God which includes healing for our bodies. But what does that look like? In this extra podcast for Women of Sōzō, I share my journey in understanding the Word and how I came to receive healing and divine health for my body.
Let's be doers of the word, not hearers only! Join us as we talk about what Jesus said about faith and how we can have faith for healing. The gifts might not always be in operation, but anyone can receive healing through faith in the Word. Healing starts with healing for your spirit, your heart. You can't really have a believing heart unless you have a healed heart or spirit. Healing and miracles come through our spirit because God is Spirit. So our hearts, our spirits, must be in right standing with God in order to receive. Realize that you are not your own. You were bought at a price, and your body is not your own. Join us this week as we continue to work out our own salvation to bring healing to our lives.
We continue our discussion about Sōzō and what it means to be saved, redeemed, ransomed, healed, and made whole. There truly must be a difference in our walk with Christ as compared to the world. Otherwise, how is Christianity any different than any other religion in the world? The world must see a difference in our walk with Christ, as we live, move, and have our being IN HIM. Join us, as we talk about the difference we live each day.Join our Facebook group Women of Sōzō.
This week's topic centers around RECEIVING CHRIST and what that means for our daily walk with Him. Receiving Christ goes beyond just believing that Jesus is the Son of God and died for your sins; even the devils believe that. Receiving Christ means to make Him your own. When we do this, John 1:12 says that we then have the RIGHT or the POWER to become children of God. Join us this week as we discuss how to exercise that right, and what it means to BE a child of God.Continue the journey with us every Tuesday night at 6:30pm as we discuss the victory that is only found in Jesus Christ. Let's encourage one another to walk in that victory, by the power of the Holy Spirit, bringing glory to God.
This is the inaugural meeting of the Women of Sōzō! Sōzō means to deliver, protect, heal, preserve, do well, and be made whole. We are women of salvation, saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus! Christianity is the demonstration of the righteousness of God to the world. But how? Modern churches today aren't even talking about it. Most churches rarely even mention the Holy Spirit, let alone how we walk by the Spirit. This is a group of ladies who love the Lord and seek to walk by the Spirit. Look for us on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/groups/Women.of.Sozo/
What did Jesus give you? What did His life accomplish in your life? Our Father in heaven has given us this tremendous gift of Jesus, yet most Christians have no idea what they have in the Gift of Jesus. Most Christians are carrying around this precious Gift, and they gladly show it to everyone but are still living their lives without knowing what Jesus gave them. It's long past time for Christ-followers to unwrap the Gift of Jesus and live their lives in the victory of Jesus, being more than conquerors.
