Have you ever thought about new Amiga user? Are they existing? Fresh and new in Amiga(NG) community? Yes, there is at least one! My guest is Eric 'Slygon' (from amiga.org) and his first Amiga computer is AmigaOne X5000! We are talking about his first computers. Why he loves Commodore machines? Why he hadn't an Amiga in 80's and 90's. And why he has AmigaOne now! There are topics about everyday use, software, beginner problem and if the retro wave can be important for AmigaNG. At least my guest says that we have a great community! If you are interested in AmigaOne X5000, you should read this review: http://www.amigapodcast.com/2017/04/amigaone-x5000-first-impression.html At the end, the great song by Moby, from the album: Amiga Days (Remasters) - Volume 3 - Eagle. Today's show is all about future of AmigaOS. My guest is Trevor Dickinson! This is hot stuff direct from great Amiga Party in Ireland. The episode has two parts: first is the interview with Trevor, second is recorded audio from Trevor's speech at Amiga Ireland MeetUp 2017. Audio quality is not so perfect, but it's worth to listen. From this episode, you will learn about near future of AmigaOne and AmigaOS. There are tough questions and we are talking about: AmigaOne X5000 and upcoming Tabor (already running AmigaOS and software). Of course, there is a topic like web browsers (Odyssey and Timberwolf), office stuff (LibreOffice), Hollywood book, AMIStore and Alice (laptop) project. In second part Trevor talks about his Amiga story and answering questions from the audience. In second part Trevor talks about his Amiga story and answering questions from the audience, about: new developers, new hardware, software (for AmigaNG and Classic) and a situation with Amiga Inc (and Commodore). For the second part of the episode, there is video available on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdZ5zIAFaCs&t=921s At the end, the great song by Moby, from the album: Amiga Days (Remasters) - Volume 3 - Impact23. The 16th episode of AMIcast is about new Amiga NG shop, located in the USA. It's called Amiga On The Lake. Aaron Smith is a very positive person. He believes in his project, he wants to promote Amiga, especially NG outside our community. He knows that Amiga need new blood and he is a big fan of AmigaOS 4 and AmigaOne line! We know, Classic Amiga has now a lot of fans, but I hope with Aaron we can push much more advanced Amiga in new future. The shop should be opened on 1st October 2016! At the end, the great song by Moby, from the album: Amiga Days (Remasters) - Volume 3 - Coco. Links: http://www.amigaonthelake.com http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com
