Estación experimental presenta la obra de aquellos artistas para los que la razón de su trabajo es un impulso irrefrenable que les conecta con la parte más pura de la investigación científica. Desviándose de las directrices preestablecidas en el arte contemporáneo, estos creadores comparten en su trabajo una cierta fascinación por temas extra-artísticos, por lo que sucede dentro del campo de lo real pero también en el más allá. Una de las últimas fronteras científicas sigue siendo el espacio exterior, que es fuente de investigaciones rigurosas y teorías por confirmar, a la vez que campo expandido para la ciencia ficción. Desde el rigor de la investigación (Paloma Polo) hasta el archivo infinito sobre ciencia ficción (Karlos Gil) hay terreno para otras aproximaciones de corte variado, desde la más experimental (Esther Mañas y Arash Moori) al documental (Raphaël Zarka).
