On September 6, 1992 in Edmonton, Canada, 6 year old Corrine Gustavson, aka Punky, was snatched from her yard while playing with her friend. Two days later her body was found but because there weren't any witnesses and DNA testing hadn't been a thing at the time, her case went cold. If you don't listen to Can We Cult, you're going to have to start if you want to know what the hell we're talking about in this one.  The first part of this discussion can be found on the Can We Cult feed -- it was released Thursday, April 12th, 2018.  Nick & Jessa pop in over there to add color commentary while the lovely Allie and Meagan explain what was up with a teenage vampire cult in the 1990s.  Then, in this episode, Jessa & Nick talk about the quirky procedural posture of the cult's ringleader, Rod Ferrell.  Ferrell is now up for re-sentencing a THIRD time post-plea because of recent rulings in the United States Supreme Court regarding sentencing practices for juveniles.
