Jessica and Dini travel back to February 16, 1997! Join us as we discuss our top 5 favorite moments from S4 EP15, Kaddish. This episode was written by Howard Gordon and directed by Kim Manners. Mulder and Scully investigate the murder of a Jewish man in Brooklyn who appears to have risen from the grave to exact revenge on the neo-Nazis responsible for his death. As they delve deeper, the case intersects with Jewish mysticism and the legend of the Golem, a mythical creature made from clay and brought to life through sacred rituals.Do you have any X-Files-related theories, stories, key points, or podcast feedback? This week we are doing our very best just to make it through this episode intact while we regrettably discuss “My Struggle III”! We're talking the episode titles reflecting our increasing struggle to watch these, CSM name drop without any forewarning, Chris Carter's “Secret Science” AMA, Mulder becoming a noir detective out of nowhere, and how this whole apocalypse thing was just one big joke. We get really excited about the possibility of Scully transmitting brain morse code, wonder when exactly we ended up in a Ford commercial, get excited about Spender's brief return, and really struggle (ha!) to recap the last five minutes of this episode. We are getting Scully out of here if it's the last thing we do!Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Instagram!

This week we are trying to stop an apocalypse, develop a world-saving vaccine, locate our long-lost son, and find a good parking spot while we discuss “My Struggle II”! We're talking Scully's strange anti-vaxx turn, the tonally bizarre Guy Ritchie fight scenes, Scully being able to stop a riot with just her words, CSM's return as a cartoon flaming skull, and the fastest-onset apocalypse we have ever seen. We wonder just how quick Scully is able to develop a vaccine, if Teen Willy has a permit to drive that UFO, get indignant on behalf of the nurse Scully won't learn the name of, and wish we could welcome back Reyes, but why did it have to be like this? The musical film The Little Mermaid was released in cinemas on 24 May 2023. This movie highlights the importance of representations in the media. This effect has a name: the Scully Effect. The combination made for an unprecedented representation of women on TV at the time, with audiences far more accustomed to seeing scientists played by white men. The fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are grouped together under the name of STEM professions. And Dana Scully was one of the first female characters in such a field to feature on prime-time TV, which would inspire a generation of young women to start careers in STEM professions. The phenomenon has become referred to as the Scully Effect. Is there any data to back it up? Why did Scully become such an inspirational figure? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! The NSW government has been at the forefront of this major reform, which aims not only to increase housing supply but also to create vibrant, sustainable communities that reflect the diversity of the people who call NSW home. We meet iconic painter Sean Scully on the eve of his 80th birthday at his studio in North London.Over the course of his 50-year career, Sean Scully has created an influential body of work that has marked the development of contemporary abstraction. Fusing the traditions of European painting with the distinct character of American abstraction, his work combines painterly drama with great visual delicacy. Often structured around stripes or layered blocks of colour arranged on horizontal and vertical axes, the layers in his paintings attain a fine balance between calm reflection and an intrinsic vitality. A forceful, physical artist, Scully creates intentionally compelling spaces, and his art is defined by acute concentration and care, involving constant negotiation between the monumental and the intimate. While giving primary importance to the physicality of the materials he employs, his art is commanded by the idea of humanity's betterment, and at the heart of each rigorously composed work lies a near-infinite number of expressive, emotional fluctuations.During a trip to Morocco in 1969, Scully was strongly influenced by the rich colours of the region, which he translated into the broad horizontal stripes and deep earth tones that characterise his mature style. Following fellowships in 1972 and 1975 at Harvard University, he permanently relocated to New York. In the early 1980s, he made the first of several influential trips to Mexico, where he used watercolour for the first time in works inspired by the patterns of light and shadows he saw on the stacked stones of ancient walls. The experience had a decisive effect on him and prompted his decision to move from Minimalism to a more emotional and humanistic form of abstraction.Follow @SeanScullyStudio‘Sean Scully: Stories' at Bucerius Kunst Forum @BuceriusKunstForum, Hamburg, Germany is now open and runs until 30th November 2025.Thanks to Faye at Sean's studio in Tappan, NY and to all of his galleries: @KerlinGallery @ThaddaeusRopac @Lisson_Gallery Hosted on Acast. This week we are turning from lizard to man and back to lizard again as we discuss “Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster”! We're talking the return of Darin Morgan, our long-awaited jokes about Mulder and cell phones, the Kim Manners tribute :( , how much Darin Morgan wants Scully to have a dog, and Smart Phones… Is Us! We welcome back the legendary red Speedo, lightly rib Kumail Nanjiani our (very real) podcast competition, narrowly avoid embarrassing New Zealand by trying to do Rhys Darby's accent, and debate if we should change our names to Guy Mann. This week we are bleeding from the ears from high-pitched screeching sounds while we discuss “Founder's Mutation”! We're talking the return of James Wong, our love for the strangely blase coworker, Gupta From My Phone, Mulder giving off the wrong signals, Scully back on her quaalude habit, and why wristwatch models shouldn't be evil scientists. We enjoy Skinner's office redesign, say hello to Abigail from Hannibal and goodbye just as quickly, smell the distinct whiff of Folger's coffee commercial energy, wonder why Scully's hospital is so evil, and how it's so real that Mulder would show 2001: A Space Odyssey to his 5-year-old. This week we are rebooting the show, our careers, and our relationships while we discuss “My Struggle I”! We're talking the 400th key to the X-Files, whether Annet Mahendru gets a worse fate here or on The Americans, Chris Carter dictating the script for this episode from his yacht, Mulder and Scully both getting younger lovers, and alien tushies. We debate whether Felt Hat Informant sucks or not, get excited about our favorite websites MindQuad and FinderSpyder, wonder what Tim Robinson would have to say about all this, and ask why Scully always has the same mysterious blood spray in the same spot. At least Mulder is throwing away his entire belief system based on the word of a complete stranger, so at least some things never change. In this episode of the Contractor Growth Network podcast, Sean Holleran and SEO expert Patrick dive into how AI is reshaping search—and what that means for contractors relying on SEO. They break down the shift from traditional keyword ranking to AI-powered answer engines like ChatGPT and Google's AI Overview, and explain how to structure your content to still get found. Whether you're wondering if Google is dead (it's not) or how to optimize for tools like Perplexity and Bing, this episode will help you stay ahead of the curve. Key Takeaways AI Search Is Changing the Game Google and ChatGPT are rewriting how people search: AI now scans for concise answers, not full-page rankings. Questions and paragraph snippets matter more than ever. It's no longer just about clicks—being the answer is the goal. Concise Answers Beat Long-Form Hooks Content must lead with the answer: Gone are the days of slow storytelling intros. Start with the clear, factual response—then build context. This helps tools like Google AI and ChatGPT surface your content. Google Isn't Dead, It's Adapting Despite the hype, traditional SEO still matters: Google still dominates local and service-based searches. Schema, page speed, links, and on-page SEO are still relevant. Now it's about blending classic SEO with AI-readiness. Search Everywhere Optimization It's no longer about ranking on one platform: Get reviews on Bing, Angi, Houzz, and Facebook—not just Google. Claim and optimize your Bing Places listing. YouTube videos (with transcripts) are also being surfaced in AI answers. AI Loves Structure and Fresh Data Make your content AI-scannable: Use schema markup to define FAQs, videos, and pages. Replace large paragraphs with bullet points or tables. Update outdated blog posts for relevance and accuracy. Memorable Quotes “If you're not found everywhere, you're not really found at all.” “The best answer wins now—not the biggest website.” “Google isn't dead. It's just changing the rules—and fast.” Actionable Advice Rewrite for Answers: Lead with a concise answer before diving into storytelling. Use Schema Markup: Help AI interpret your FAQs, videos, and images. Diversify Reviews: Get client reviews across Google, Bing, Angi, and Houzz. Update Your Old Content: Refresh data, fix broken links, and add question-style headings. Test It Yourself: Search on ChatGPT, Google AI, and Perplexity as if you're a client. Meta Description: SEO is changing fast. Learn how AI tools like ChatGPT and Google SGE are shifting search—and how to adapt your content to keep showing up and driving leads.

This week we are swapping heads and bodies willy-nilly while we discuss the 2008 movie “The X-Files: I Want to Believe”! We're talking poor Scully being Mulder's publicity agent, the inexplicable George W. Bush alien theme sting, the specter of unsafe driving, Mulder's scratchy beard, and most importantly, the return of Ellen Bledsoe! We wonder how serious this break-up is supposed to be, wonder at Scully doing all of her stem cell research on Google, debate whether Mulder's beard is good or bad, and completely forget about the new batch of young, hot agents on the scene. However: Mulder and Scully finally get the invite to Ibiza!Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Instagram!

Scully's ex gets gunned down during a bank robbery and is somehow resuscitated with the spirit of his killer inside him. He's out to find his lady and the whole thing is a little exasperating if we're being honest. We're positively exhausted by the repeated attempts to fill in Scully's backstory with nothing but daddy issues, deadbeats on the dating scene, and in this case, a wildly inappropriate and unlikely scenario where foxy Dana Scully shacked up with one of her instructors, a suitably dumpy bureau guy who couldn't possibly have landed a fine lady like Specia Agent Dana Scully. We also run down the headlines, talk about the inexplicable success of Mrs. Doubtfire, and marvel at the rising tide of booty jams and sweaty silk-shirt R&B tracks on the radio.
