Obligations lives!!! (We were just on summer break.) Howie and Scully are back with special guest: influencer and French Quarter vintage clothing store owner Chris Olsen. He popped into the King Room to discuss his journey into French Quarter small business advocacy and beyond. He shares how growing up he developed a love for antiques from his father and how his previous job in advertising set him up with the tools required to advocate publicly for causes specific to the French Quarter. He tells us the role he played in saving the French Quarter School, helping the restaurant Mona Lisa renew its lease, and drawing attention to the senseless removal of the world famous decades old Tujagues sign. He gives us his views on the current mayoral race (spoiler: he's voting for his friend Joshua Starkman!!! JK) and explains why it is important as business owners to weigh in on politics regardless of consequences. And if you missed his sold out Vintage Fest at House of Blues, don't worry -- he shares the news that there are more on the horizon!!!Clint Maedgen of Preservation Hall/Bingo Show/Liquidrone shares two hot tracks from his new band -- Bandapandas!!!If you like this episode and would like more, you can donate to our humble podcast on Venmo @rscully73

This week we are going AWOL and hunting down our old Vietnam buddies while we discuss “Kitten”! We're talking how they really could have come up with a cooler evil-project name than MK NAOMI, that Kersh is back: meaner and balder than ever, how Mulder and Scully's main character disease is really turning terminal, and that Skinner might as well give up entirely about having any career anymore. We admire Skinner's turn on the cover of LL Bean, learn what a petard is, tell Mulder and Scully to get back there and pull Skinner out of that hole, question why Haley Joel Osment is in this, and wonder what exactly is so funny about losing five teeth. Hilarious! Kersh's love language: sending lackeys to do his dirty work.Note: Please send us Season 10 and Season 11 questions by October 12 for our revival wrap-up episode!Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Instagram!

Welcome to the seventh episode of this epic journey in Revisiting The X Files.Through 11 seasons, two movies and several stand alone novels, these podcast episodes will be a discussion and revisitation of the series from the very beginning, exploring the good and the bad of every episode, and eventually coming to the point where every piece of the X Files puzzle has been set in place. So please join me over the coming months and, dare I say it, years, as we dive into The X Files.Today's seventh episode is our first with a guest. I invite my eldest daughter Jessica onto the program, to discuss her own journey with The X Files. We talk about how she discovered the show, her impressions on the dynamic between the show's stars, her favourite characters from the run and of course her favourite episodes. This will hopefully be a regular episode as we complete each season of The X Files. Jess is as entertaining as she always is with some candid responses. You can contact the podcast and leave feedback at the following locations:Email: billiscricket@hotmail.comTwitter: @realmetalkevinBluesky: @metalkevin.bsky.socialInstagram: @realmetalkevinPatreon: @RealMetalKevinSummaryIn this episode of Revisiting The X-Files, host Bill is joined by his daughter Jessica to discuss their favorite episodes from the iconic series. This week we are tracking down our long-lost son while we discuss “Ghouli”! We're talking Detective Saw, Ghouli fanfiction, the continuing Ford car commercial, birthday boys, and Mulder and Scully's son surprisingly being a bit of a player. We get sad about Scully's monologue, think we might also make up an urban legend if we had mind powers, ask whether Mulder could have come up with a better coffee-shop persona than “Bob”, and wave goodbye as Jackson/William and Ghouli drive off on their cross-country road trip. They grow up so fast! New T-Shirt idea for Mulder: I'm not the stepfather, or the father who stepped up. I'm just kind of the guy who's there. Yoo-hoo! Come on in, the magic is fine! Welcome to the show notes for our latest episode, which is so packed we almost had to use a virtual queue. Better buckle up and pull on the yellow tab! We're kicking things off by addressing the elephant in the room—or should we say, the fort in the frontier? Let's just say a certain co-host had some… thoughts… on last week's creative direction. Truce has (mostly) been declared. Then, we're tumbling down the rabbit hole of news from the Destination D23 event. We're talking news for the future of Disney storytelling, both on the big screen and, more importantly for us, in the parks. We break down the biggest headlines and what they actually mean for your future trips to Disneyland Paris. Let's just say Spring 2026 is looking….frosty. We also play fairy godmother to a wonderful listener facing a classic DLP dilemma: superhero chic or royal club-level treatment? We break it down with the seriousness it deserves, breaking down the pros, cons, and giving our final verdict Plus, we've got the lowdown on what's open, what's closed, and what's probably cursed. And we share a story so lovely it'll give you the same happy chills as a drinking a giant yummy milkshake at Victoria's. Grab your (Mickey) earphones and press play! It's a good one. In This Episode: The Great Fort Comstock Debate is settled (for now). We react to the news from Destination D23. Helping a listener choose between two iconic hotel experiences. A truly magical piece of news that reminds us what Disney is all about. Your essential closure update for Autumn 2025. A Quick Note on Our "Frozen" Booking Intel! Just after we finished recording this episode, a fellow DLP Insidears slid into our DMs with a hot tip: Packages for beyond March 2026 are going to drop on Tuesday, September 10th! Now, we want to be your trusted travel guides, not Mulder and Scully, so we have to say this is not officially confirmed … yet. And our long, conspiratorial discussion in this episode about seasonal windows might mean our tinfoil hats were on a little too tight! But this new info comes from a good source, so we're passing it along. If you're planning a 2026 trip, maybe just keep that date in the back of your mind, and we'll all find out the truth together! The truth is out there! (Sorry, we couldn't help ourselves). Subscribe & Follow Don't miss a moment of the magic(and chaos)! Subscribe to the Dedicated to DLP Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or your favourite podcast app. Find us on Instagram, Facebook, and Bluesky for more fun between episodes. Get in Touch! We love to hear from you. Send your questions, trip reports, or favourite frontier fort facts to dlp@dedicatedtodlp.com.
School Marketing Journal with Brad Entwistle and Andrew Sculthorpe In the final part of their series on consistency and creativity, Brad and Scully explore the Head's role as the ultimate brand custodian. They explain why brand leadership cannot be delegated, how micro-moments influence perception and why modelling behaviours is essential to embedding culture and identity. The duo also discuss how every staff member, student and alumni contributes to the brand and share practical ways for Heads to empower their teams, close alignment gaps and ensure the school's values are lived out every day. Indhold: 0:00:00 - Intro 0:22:28 - Gennemgang 1:04:49 - Vurdering

This week we are sorting through our faulty collective memories while we discuss “The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat”! We're talking the Mandela/Mengele effect, how dangerous it is to hold Scully up when she's hangry, the return of Chuck, Mulder's Squatchin' outfit, and how troubled we are by this episode's erasure of the true Reggie. We won't stand for it! We note how terrifying it is to hear “Let me show you this quick video”, how Po-Co is never going to happen, the bloodcurdling screams of Megamind aliens, how much of an impact Teso Dos Bichos had on the crew, and whether or not this episode is eating the Jell-O. We're also thinking this Mulder guy might finally have a chance with Scully now that Reginald Murgatroid is out of the picture! Right back to the beginning of the journey of The X-Files; where paranoia is rife, Mulder and Scully first meet, the Smoking Man makes his first appearance and we see our first abduction. Joe & Ioan investigate.
This week we are avoiding our evil doppelgangers while we discuss “Plus One”! We're talking our love for Dean Cavalier: Attorney at Law, how much Mulder would love Evil Scully, the strange nurses, and confounding bread pills. We wonder exactly how much sleep Scully really needs, doubt that it's really that much fun playing Hangman that many times, get really excited about the John Wick armory and katana sword collection, and get really invested in Prison Break for a while. Jessica and Dini travel back to February 4, 19994! Join us as we discuss our top 5 favorite moments from S1 EP15, Lazarus. This episode was written by Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon. Directed by David Nutter. An FBI agent and former boyfriend of Scully's, Jack Willis, is shot during a bank robbery. At the same moment, the robber is also fatally shot. In the hospital, Willis is revived—but begins to exhibit the personality and behavior of the dead criminal. Mulder believes that the criminal's consciousness has transferred into Willis's body. As Willis becomes increasingly erratic and obsessed with unfinished criminal business, Scully is caught between loyalty to her old partner and the unsettling truth of what may have happened.Do you have any X-Files-related theories, stories, key points, or podcast feedback? We talk about beauty horror, witchcraft, the occult, and straight PINS, brah. Tangents include: Argentinian Spanish, monopoly game pieces, theoretical video game save points, things we're looking forward to, countries to live in, and religions to choose.
This week we are on the run from long-dead friends while we discuss “This”! We're talking the return of Cyber Langly, the Boo Crew suddenly turning into action stars, how we really could have used more of Mulder and Scully handcuffed-together hijinks, Skinner's boring apartment, and how much Deep Throat hates QR codes. We pitch a ‘Mulder and Scully go to IKEA' episode, enjoy the escape room vibes, think the episode would be improved with a dance battle, and wonder where exactly Langly's secret girlfriend was this entire time. Wait a minute. Are we in the simulation? Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Instagram!

Un podcast Bababam Originals Ecriture et voix : Alice Deroide Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

This week we are doing our very best just to make it through this episode intact while we regrettably discuss “My Struggle III”! We're talking the episode titles reflecting our increasing struggle to watch these, CSM name drop without any forewarning, Chris Carter's “Secret Science” AMA, Mulder becoming a noir detective out of nowhere, and how this whole apocalypse thing was just one big joke. We get really excited about the possibility of Scully transmitting brain morse code, wonder when exactly we ended up in a Ford commercial, get excited about Spender's brief return, and really struggle (ha!) to recap the last five minutes of this episode. We are getting Scully out of here if it's the last thing we do!Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Instagram!
This week we are trying to stop an apocalypse, develop a world-saving vaccine, locate our long-lost son, and find a good parking spot while we discuss “My Struggle II”! We're talking Scully's strange anti-vaxx turn, the tonally bizarre Guy Ritchie fight scenes, Scully being able to stop a riot with just her words, CSM's return as a cartoon flaming skull, and the fastest-onset apocalypse we have ever seen. We wonder just how quick Scully is able to develop a vaccine, if Teen Willy has a permit to drive that UFO, get indignant on behalf of the nurse Scully won't learn the name of, and wish we could welcome back Reyes, but why did it have to be like this? Quote of the episode: Calm down, you're talking to a scientist here. Thanks, Skinner.Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Instagram!

We meet iconic painter Sean Scully on the eve of his 80th birthday at his studio in North London.Over the course of his 50-year career, Sean Scully has created an influential body of work that has marked the development of contemporary abstraction. Fusing the traditions of European painting with the distinct character of American abstraction, his work combines painterly drama with great visual delicacy. Often structured around stripes or layered blocks of colour arranged on horizontal and vertical axes, the layers in his paintings attain a fine balance between calm reflection and an intrinsic vitality. A forceful, physical artist, Scully creates intentionally compelling spaces, and his art is defined by acute concentration and care, involving constant negotiation between the monumental and the intimate. While giving primary importance to the physicality of the materials he employs, his art is commanded by the idea of humanity's betterment, and at the heart of each rigorously composed work lies a near-infinite number of expressive, emotional fluctuations.During a trip to Morocco in 1969, Scully was strongly influenced by the rich colours of the region, which he translated into the broad horizontal stripes and deep earth tones that characterise his mature style. Following fellowships in 1972 and 1975 at Harvard University, he permanently relocated to New York. In the early 1980s, he made the first of several influential trips to Mexico, where he used watercolour for the first time in works inspired by the patterns of light and shadows he saw on the stacked stones of ancient walls. The experience had a decisive effect on him and prompted his decision to move from Minimalism to a more emotional and humanistic form of abstraction.Follow @SeanScullyStudio‘Sean Scully: Stories' at Bucerius Kunst Forum @BuceriusKunstForum, Hamburg, Germany is now open and runs until 30th November 2025.Thanks to Faye at Sean's studio in Tappan, NY and to all of his galleries: @KerlinGallery @ThaddaeusRopac @Lisson_Gallery Hosted on Acast.
