To understand this seemingly simple phrase is critical to a man or a woman being successful in life. Two of the most often asked questions of people living on the earth are" who am I, and why am I here? The Word of God begins with the key to knowing the answers to life's greatest questions...they all start with God. It is only when you and I grasp that life begins with God and everything ultimately revolves around Him, that we truly can begin to live the lives He has purposed for us and can actually thrive in doing so. We welcome you to invite your family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers and anyone willing to hear God's word, to listen attentively to this evening's broadcast. We trust you will be greatly blessed as you tune in to tonight's message on 'In the Word with Sister Pearl'. "In the beginning God ..."- Genesis 1:1(a) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it." - John 1:1-5.

In this episode of Serving Jesus Christ, Pastor Swanson shares an inspirational Sunday Message titled, In The Beginning God! Why is the study of Genesis so important? On face value. . . Genesis means origin. So. . . Genesis provides us with a picture of God along with the evidence of our origins and the beginning story of man. Without the study of and the understanding of Genesis. . . life is meaningless. Sadly. . . many in the world and even some evangelicals have taken the position that the Genesis account of beginnings is theological fiction. . . that it is not a literal account of the how it all began. Ever since biblical times, there have been those who have militated against any notion of a god or higher power being the agent and creator of all that we see. Creation shouts out the eternal power of God. Man is without excuse. . . has no defense for rejecting the truth of God within creation. The opening words of the Bible are meant to assure all of creation that we are not the product of chance. . . such things as the Big Bang and Evolution. Rather that we exist due to the mind and intent of an eternal unchangeable God. If you desire further information, it may be obtained at wordgiver@gmail.com.
