This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: God's Call - Our Response Acts 16:9-15 is a beautiful picture of how God works. He called Paul to Macedonia, prepared a humble riverside in Philippi, and opened Lydia's heart to spark a church. That same God is working in Argyle today. He's calling you to follow, preparing places for you to serve, and opening hearts around you. Here's the thing: You don't need to be a missionary like Paul or a businesswoman like Lydia. You just need to say yes to God—one step, one conversation, one act of faith at a time. · Will you listen for His call? · Will you step into the places He's prepared? · Will you share Jesus and trust Him to open hearts? * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: A New Heaven - A New Earth Imagine driving through the countryside around Argyle, Minnesota, under a vibrant sunset, the horizon glowing with promise. Now, picture God unveiling a new world, infinitely more glorious—a new heaven and new earth, untouched by sin, sorrow, or death. That's the vision John shares in Revelation 21:1-8. This isn't a fairy tale or a fleeting hope; it's a rock-solid promise from the God who never breaks His Word. This passage paints a future where God dwells with His people, wiping away every tear, banishing pain, and making all things new. Yet, it also sounds a sobering warning about the judgment awaiting those who reject Him. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: A Faithful Shepherd! Here's the thing: God is your Shepherd, and He's enough. He's providing for you, even when the pantry feels bare or the bank account looks grim. He's protecting you, even when the shadows of fear or loss loom large in life's darkest valleys. He's guiding you, even when you're tempted to wander off on your own path. His goodness and love aren't just following you. . . they're chasing you, pursuing you with a relentless grace that never gives up. Every single day of your life, God's care is there. And here's the best part: this isn't just for today or tomorrow. One day, you'll dwell with Him forever, in a place where there's no more pain, no more tears, no more valleys. . . only the joy of His presence. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Transformed By Grace! Today, we're stepping into one of the most dramatic stories in the Bible-Acts 9:1-18. It's the moment when Saul, a man who despised Jesus and hunted His followers, meets the risen Christ and becomes Paul, the greatest missionary the world has ever known. Here's the thing: this isn't just a history lesson. This story is about transformation. It's about how Jesus meets us in our mess, redirects our path, uses others to guide us, and calls us to live boldly for Him. Maybe you're here feeling stuck, far from God, or unsure of your purpose. Or maybe you know someone who seems too far gone. Acts 9 shows us that no one is beyond Jesus' reach. God's power to change lives is real. Think of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly-same creature, new life. That's what Jesus does. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: I Just Don't Know! In today's episode, we're exploring a sermon titled “I Just Don't Know,” based on John 20:19–31. We'll unpack the story of Thomas, often called Doubting Thomas, and discover how his struggle with doubt led to a powerful confession of faith. This message reminds us that occasional doubts are a normal part of the Christian journey, but they don't have to shipwreck our faith. Instead, God meets us in our uncertainties with compassion, guiding us to trust Him more deeply. We'll discuss why believers experience doubt, how to address it practically, and why doubting doesn't make you a terrible Christian. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Easter Message is: Because He Lives! In this episode, we're diving into a powerful Easter sermon titled “Because He Lives,” based on 1 Corinthians 15:12–19 and John 14:19. We'll explore five profound ways Christ's resurrection transforms our lives: it gives worth to our existence, purpose to our prayers, hope for our future, victory over death, and certainty for eternity. Through stories, Scripture, and reflections, we'll see how the empty tomb reshapes everything. Whether you're listening at home, on your commute, or anywhere in between, let's open our hearts to the truth that “He is risen indeed!” * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Not the King They Wanted, But the Savior They Needed This week we begin one of the most sacred seasons of the church year—Holy Week. And it all starts with Palm Sunday, a day filled with shouts of “Hosanna!” and palm branches waving like banners of hope. But what kind of King is this, riding on a donkey's colt? And what does His arrival really mean for us today? The message you're about to hear is titled “Not the King They Wanted, But the Savior They Needed” based on John 12:12–19. We'll take a close look at Jesus' entry into Jerusalem—what it revealed, how it fulfilled prophecy, and how it still speaks to our hearts. This passage reminds us that while people were looking for political power, Jesus came to bring peace, grace, and eternal salvation. And the truth is, that kind of King often surprises us. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! If you enjoyed this episode and want to help support this ministry, please share it with others and post about it on social media. “Scripture quotations taken from the Holy Bible: New American Standard Bible. 1995. This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Straining Toward The Goal Today's message comes from Philippians 3:12–21, a section of Scripture that is full of urgency, direction, and deep encouragement. The Apostle Paul is writing here from a Roman prison cell, but don't picture a man who's given up. This isn't the voice of someone defeated by the world. It's the heart cry of a man whose eyes are fixed on heaven, and whose feet are still pounding the pavement of faith. Let me ask you something—Have you ever felt like you're just trying to keep up? Like life is pulling you in a dozen directions, and spiritually, you're not where you thought you'd be by now? Maybe you're battling discouragement, or you feel stuck in the past, wondering if God could still use you. In today's message, we'll walk through five key truths from Philippians 3. You'll hear Paul say, “I haven't arrived, but I press on.” We'll talk about how to keep moving forward when life weighs heavy, how to let go of both past regrets and even past victories, and how to live with a mindset that reflects where our true citizenship lies—in heaven, not here. We'll see how Paul's call isn't about polishing ourselves into perfection—it's about pursuing Christ with resolve. It's about walking together as a church family, refusing to settle for the distractions of this world, and living with our eyes on the glorious hope that Jesus is coming again. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! If you enjoyed this episode and want to help support this ministry, please share it with others and post about it on social media. “Scripture quotations taken from the Holy Bible: New American Standard Bible. 1995. This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Joy of Forgiveness Have you ever felt crushed under a burden you can't quite name? In this episode, we dive into Psalm 32 with David, a man who knew the soul-crushing weight of unconfessed sin all too well. Picture him as a weary traveler, lugging a backpack stuffed with rocks—regrets, secrets, guilt—each step heavier than the last. He tried to ignore it, to keep walking as if nothing was wrong, but inside, it was tearing him apart. We'll explore how that hidden load doesn't just stay hidden—it festers, draining your vitality, haunting your quiet moments, and pressing down with a heaviness that feels inescapable. Sound familiar? Let's unpack what it means to carry what we were never meant to bear. But here's the twist—David's story doesn't end in despair. When he finally stops running and confesses to God, he finds something astonishing: not judgment, but freedom. Not rejection, but a joy so deep it spills into song. We'll walk through his journey from silence to confession, from misery to relief, and discover the three key aspects of forgiveness that turned his groaning into gladness—sin lifted, covered, and erased from the record. This isn't just ancient poetry; it's a lifeline for anyone wrestling with a past mistake or a secret shame. What could happen if you brought your own rocks to God? Spoiler: it's not what you might fear. So, what's the way out of the weight? Confession isn't just a duty—it's a doorway to peace, protection, and a life reframed by grace. We'll dig into how David's honesty with God didn't just free him from guilt but brought him into a shelter where storms can't touch him—a hiding place surrounded by songs of deliverance. This episode isn't about wallowing in regret; it's about trading the backpack for a shout of joy. Whether you're feeling the ache of concealed sin or just curious about what forgiveness really feels like, join us as we ask: Are you ready to let go of what's crushing you and step into the lightness God's been waiting to give? * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Watchman's Call What if your life's purpose was more urgent than you realized? What if God had placed you as a watchman—a voice calling out truth in a world heading for destruction? In this episode of Serving Jesus Christ, we dive into Ezekiel 33, a passage that is more than history—it's a wake-up call for today. We'll explore what it means to stand as watchmen, to proclaim the gospel boldly, and to understand God's heart for repentance. Because righteousness isn't about where we've been—it's about where we stand before God today. And in the end, when we stand before Christ, what will He say? Will we hear those long-awaited words: Well done, good and faithful servant? Join us as we unpack this powerful passage and challenge one another to faithfulness. Don't miss it! * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Finding Peace In The Presence Of God Have you ever felt like the walls are closing in? Maybe it's the slow grind of money troubles-your paycheck stretched thin, bills piling up like a mountain you can't climb. Or perhaps it's a friend's cutting words, leaving you raw and wondering who you can trust. Maybe it's those restless nights when sleep won't come, and your mind spins with "what ifs" and "if onlys." I know that I have experienced most of these! We're not so different from David, are we? We live in a loud world-TVs shouting, phones pinging, social media buzzing with opinions and outrage. It's a time when people chase likes and trends like they're gold, while hope feels scarce and faith gets a side-eye. This means that faith-whether in God, in people, or in something else-is being met with skepticism or suspicion. But Psalm 4 crashes into that noise like a lifeline, tossed from an ancient king to you and me right here, right now. It says there's a God who hears us when we call, who claims us as His own, who can steady our shaky hearts and give us peace when everything else falls apart. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! If you enjoyed this episode and want to help support this ministry, please share it with others and post about it on social media. “Scripture quotations taken from the Holy Bible: New American Standard Bible. 1995. This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Word of Faith Today, we plant our feet in the fertile ground of Romans 10:8-13-a passage that blazes with the radiant glory of the gospel, a beacon piercing the darkness like a lighthouse guiding storm-tossed ships to safe harbor. Penned by the Apostle Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, these verses unveil the breathtaking simplicity, universal accessibility, and unshakable certainty of salvation through Jesus Christ. In a world that drowns us in complexity—offering tangled webs of rules, empty rituals, or hollow self-help schemes—Paul raises a banner of unshakable truth: salvation is not a distant mirage or a prize for the perfect. It is near, it is for all, and it is received by faith alone in the risen Lord. This passage is God's answer to humanity's deepest longing: How can I, a sinner stained and broken, stand reconciled before a holy and righteous God? To unpack this treasure, we'll journey through three truths: The Accessibility of Salvation, The Action of Salvation, and The Assurance of Salvation. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Seeing Jesus Clearly When the young boy in our opening story put on glasses for the first time, his entire world changed. What was once blurry became clear. He finally saw what was there all along—he just hadn't recognized it before. That's what the Transfiguration did for the disciples. They had followed Jesus, walked with Him, and heard His words. But in this moment, they saw who He truly was—God in glory. So, let me ask you: Do you see Jesus clearly? Some only see Him as a good teacher. Others admire Him but don't truly follow Him. But the Father tells us plainly: "This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!" Seeing Jesus clearly changes everything. It strengthens our faith in trials, reminds us of His supremacy, and calls us to truly listen and obey. Today, let's ask God to remove anything that blurs our vision—doubt, distraction, or disobedience—so that we may see Jesus as He truly is. And when we see Him clearly, we will follow Him wholeheartedly. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: God's Purposes Let's take a moment to reflect on the powerful truths found in Joseph's story in Genesis 45:3-15. 1. God Redeems Our Pain – No matter what trials we've faced, God can use them for good. The very things that seem to break us are often the things God uses to shape us. Joseph's pain wasn't wasted - it positioned him for a greater purpose. 2. God Has a Greater Plan – Joseph's suffering wasn't just about him; God was working on a much bigger story. Even when life seems unfair, even when we can't see the bigger picture, we can trust that God's plan is always for our ultimate good. 3. God Calls Us to Restore Relationships – True healing and freedom come when we choose forgiveness over bitterness. Joseph had every reason to seek revenge, but instead, he chose reconciliation. Who do you need to forgive today? * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Two Kinds of Trust – Man or God? Let me start by asking you a question: Where do you place your trust? Think about it—every single day, we trust in something. We trust that our cars will start in the morning. We trust that the chair we sit on won't collapse. We trust that the banks will keep our money safe and that the government will provide stability. But what happens when these things fail? What happens when the people, systems, and institutions we rely on let us down? Life is unpredictable. One moment, everything is going smoothly, and the next, we're facing a crisis—an unexpected job loss, a health scare, a broken relationship, or a financial struggle. In those moments, where do we turn? Do we rely on our own wisdom and strength? Do we put our hope in human solutions? Or do we turn to the only One who never fails—the Lord our God? Jeremiah 17:5-8 presents us with a striking contrast—two very different kinds of trust. One leads to barrenness and emptiness, like a dry bush in the desert. The other leads to stability and fruitfulness, like a tree planted by living water. The difference isn't the circumstances—both people face the heat and the drought—the difference is where they are rooted. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: No Longer A Spectator In Luke 5:1-11, Peter is just going through the motions of life. He's fishing, working, paying bills—just doing what he's always done. But then, Jesus steps into his boat. And that one moment changes everything. Peter has a choice to make: 1. Stay in the shallow waters of what's familiar, or 2. Trust Jesus and step into the deep waters of faith. That's what I want to talk about today: "A Deeper Call—From Fisherman to Follower." Because Jesus isn't just inviting us to believe in Him—He's inviting us to follow Him. As we go through this story, I want us to think about three things: 1. Are we just listening to Jesus, or are we actually following Him? 2. Are we willing to trust Him, even when it doesn't make sense? 3. What is Jesus calling us to leave behind so we can go deeper? So let me ask you—is Jesus calling you deeper today? Are you ready to stop playing it safe and step out in faith? * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: True Believers Paul's prayer lifts our eyes from the temporary to the eternal. He prays that we would know God intimately, embrace our hope, treasure our inheritance, and live in His power—truths meant to transform how we walk with Christ. Knowing God brings confidence, contentment, and boldness. Hoping in our calling assures us of the glorious future God has secured. Grasping our inheritance reveals the infinite value and blessings God has given us. Living in God's power enables us to overcome fear and fulfill His purposes. Challenge: How will Paul's prayer shape your life? Are you seeking to know God more, living with hope, treasuring your inheritance, and walking in His power? Let today be the day you fully embrace what God has given. Closing Reflection: In a world of distractions, Paul's prayer calls us to focus on the eternal. May it guide you this week, deepening your faith and transforming your perspective. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: One Body, Many Parts You are not in the body of Christ by accident. God has placed you exactly where He wants you, with gifts and abilities uniquely suited for your role. Maybe you're a teacher, a prayer warrior, an encourager, or someone who serves quietly behind the scenes. Whatever your role, it matters deeply. Without you, the church is missing something vital. It also means we need to celebrate our unity. Unity doesn't mean we all look or act the same—it means we're moving in the same direction, guided by the Spirit, to accomplish God's purpose. It's about valuing others' contributions and recognizing that we're better together than we could ever be on our own. Finally, it means committing to serve. Being part of the body of Christ isn't a spectator sport. It's an active calling to use the gifts God has given us for His glory and the good of His people. If you've been holding back or doubting your role, today is the day to step forward in faith. Trust that God has designed you for this moment, and commit to playing your part * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: When Jesus Steps In Today, we're looking at an extraordinary moment in Scripture: Jesus' first miracle at the wedding in Cana, found in John 2:1-11. It's a story that reveals how Jesus transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. If you've ever felt like life is running on empty, this message is for you. We'll unpack three powerful truths from this story: Transformation begins when you invite Jesus into your situation. Breakthroughs come when you trust Jesus with your problems. Miracles happen when you obey Jesus completely. The theme of today's message is simple but profound: When Jesus is invited into our lives, He transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Alive in Christ I challenge you this week to think about what it means to truly live as someone alive in Christ. What old patterns or sins are you clinging to? What areas of your life need to be transformed by the power of His resurrection? Don't say that you are fine, because we all have areas which need to be changed or rooted out of our lives. Remember this: You don't have to stay in the grave of your old life. Christ has defeated sin and death, and He's calling you to walk in newness of life. You're not defined by your failures, your past, or your sin. You're defined by His victory. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: God's Eternal Gift: Spiritual Blessings in Christ As we continue to celebrate Christmas, let us remember the greatest gift ever given: Jesus Christ. This passage in Ephesians reminds us of the depth and beauty of God's eternal plan for our salvation. The blessings we have in Christ are immeasurable—they span from the moment God chose us before the foundation of the world to the eternal security we have through the Holy Spirit's seal. Christmas is more than a celebration of Jesus' birth; it is a reminder of why He came. He came to bless us with every spiritual blessing, to redeem us through His blood, and to seal us for eternity. These truths are not abstract doctrines; they are personal and life-transforming. In Christ, we are chosen, forgiven, loved, and secure. These blessings are not temporary or material—they are eternal and spiritual, shaping our identity and our destiny. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Preparing Your Heart for the Promised King Advent is a season of anticipation—looking back to Christ's first coming in the manger and looking forward to His triumphant return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Today's message focuses on Luke 19:28-40, the account of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. While this event is often associated with Palm Sunday, it is also a powerful reminder of what Advent calls us to do: prepare for the coming of Christ. In this passage, we'll discover three key truths about our Savior: 1. Jesus is the promised King, 2. Jesus is worthy of our worship. 3. Jesus challenges our expectations. The people of Jerusalem hailed Jesus as King, yet many misunderstood His mission. Today, we're called to see Him for who He truly is—our humble, sovereign, and victorious Redeemer. As we prepare for Christmas, this passage urges us to recognize Jesus' kingship, worship Him with joyful hearts, and trust Him, even when His plans differ from our own. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Be Ready: Watching For the Return Of The King I'm Pastor Warren Swanson, and I'm thrilled to journey with you today through Mark 13:24-37 - a passage that calls us to readiness for the glorious return of Christ. This text is the culmination of Jesus' Olivet Discourse, where He outlines the events leading to the end of the age. Last week, we studied Mark 13:1-13, where Jesus warned His disciples about the coming tribulations - wars, persecution, and false prophets. These were not signs of the immediate end but reminders to stay grounded in faith. Today, we'll see the dramatic shift to the moment of His return and our charge to remain alert and faithful. We will seek to answer the questions: What does it mean to watch for Christ? How do we balance daily life with eternal readiness? These questions shape our sermon today. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Faithful Endurance In Troubled Times In Mark 13:1-13, Jesus shares a powerful and sobering message about the trials and tribulations that will come in this world. He speaks of earthquakes, wars, persecution, and betrayal — warning His followers to be on guard while encouraging them to stay faithful. For us today, these words challenge us to ask: are we preparing our hearts and minds for times of trial? Jesus calls His followers to stay alert, grounded in truth, and to persevere in faith. In this message, we'll explore what it means to be watchful, deepen our spiritual endurance, and respond faithfully, even when life shakes us to our core. This passage isn't just about predicting events; it's about aligning our lives with God's kingdom and standing firm when faith is tested. Join us as we explore how Mark 13 calls us to be vigilant, steady, and hopeful, trusting in God's promises. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Gift That Counts The widow's offering teaches us powerful truths about what God values in our giving. It shows that God looks at our motives, values our willingness to sacrifice, and cherishes a heart devoted to His kingdom. Her gift was small in the world's eyes but immense in God's because it came from a pure and trusting heart. Let's reflect on these three lessons: Give with pure motives-focus on honoring God, not impressing others. Embrace sacrificial giving-surrender what you have, trusting God will provide. Cultivate a heart for God's kingdom-prioritize His work over our own desires. Jesus invites us to live generously, not from our abundance alone, but from a spirit of faith and love for Him. May we be inspired by this widow's example, following her lead to give wholeheartedly to our Lord. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Recovering From Failure Today's message is part of the life of Jonah. In Jonah chapter 2 verse 1 through chapter 3 verse 3, we see Jonah in a place where many of us have been before - feeling lost, guilty, and broken. But God doesn't leave Jonah in the depths of that failure, and He won't leave us there either. We'll talk about how God rescues us from our mistakes, offers us grace when we don't deserve it, and sets us back on His path with new purpose. So, if you've ever felt like you've let God down or gone too far off course, this message is for you. Today's sermon, titled “Recovering From Failure,” reminds us that there's hope, there's healing, and there's a second chance waiting for each of us. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Living With A Biblical Worldview Have you ever wondered why so many Christians struggle to align their lives with God's truth? Or why, in the midst of a culture bombarding us with ideas and opinions, it's so easy to lose focus on what's truly important? Well, it all comes down to the lens we're using to view the world. In this episode, we'll define what a worldview really is, break down the reasons why so many Christians don't have a biblical perspective, and explore how Scripture calls us to live differently. We'll also look at practical steps you can take to shift your mindset toward God's truth. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: A Life of Purity The preaching goal for this message is for you to fully understand the following: 1. You Are To Guard Your Heart with God's Word I want to encourage you to make a daily commitment to immerse yourself in Scripture. I want to show you that God's Word isn't just information but a safeguard for your hearts, protecting you from sin and temptation. By treasuring God's Word in your hearts, you will be equipped to walk in purity. 2. You Are To Seek God Wholeheartedly I want to challenge you to pursue God with all your heart. This means not just casually reading the Bible or attending church, but seeking God as a priority in your lives. I want to encourage you to live with intentionality, knowing that the more you seek God, the less room there is for wandering into sin. 3. That True Joy Is Found In Living Out God's Truth I want to inspire you to find delight in God's commandments, not as restrictive rules, but as a source of joy and freedom. I want to help you see that meditating on and obeying God's Word leads to true fulfillment that is greater than anything the world can offer. The more you align your lives with His Word, the more you'll experience lasting joy and peace. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Walking In Faithfulness Faithfulness is not just a one-time act; it is a daily choice to trust and obey God in every circumstance. It begins with the small, unseen tasks of life, continues through the trials we face, and leads ultimately to the eternal reward God has promised us. We are called to be faithful because God is forever faithful to us. His promises never fail, and His love never wavers. As you go forth from this place, remember that your faithfulness—whether in small acts of service or enduring through hardship—matters to God. He sees you, He is with you, and He will reward you. Let us live each day with the confidence that our faithfulness is anchored in God's unchanging character and His eternal promises. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: You've Got The Joy and Peace...or Do You? Here are three key takeaways from this expository sermon based on John 15:1-11 and Galatians 5:22-23. 1. Joy and peace are fruits of the Spirit, not dependent on circumstances. True joy and peace come from abiding in Christ, not from external situations or temporary happiness. As we remain connected to Him, we experience His constant presence and provision, regardless of life's challenges. 2. Self-centeredness and disobedience block the flow of joy and peace. Focusing on ourselves or rebelling against God's will leads to frustration, anger, and a lack of fulfillment. Joy and peace are found in surrendering to God's purposes and walking in obedience to His commands. 3. Joy and peace grow through abiding in Christ and exposure to His Word. As we abide in Christ and immerse ourselves in Scripture, our hearts are filled with His love, and we experience the fullness of joy and peace. Prayer, obedience, and bearing fruit for His Kingdom deepen our sense of fulfillment in Him. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Loving Your Neighbor! Here are three key takeaways from this expository sermon based on Leviticus 19:9-18 and Galatians 5:22-23. Love is More Than an Emotion—It Requires Action: True love is demonstrated in how we treat others, especially those in need. It calls us to go beyond words and emotions and take practical steps to meet the needs of those around us. Integrity and Justice Are Essential to Love: We cannot claim to love our neighbors while acting dishonestly, showing favoritism, or harboring bitterness. Love requires fairness, honesty, and a heart of compassion for all people. Love Must Be Rooted in God's Grace: We are not capable of loving others fully on our own. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we can love as God has commanded, extending grace, forgiveness, and compassion to those around us. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Forsaking The Source! Here are three key takeaways from this expository sermon based on Jeremiah 2:4-13 and other passages: Spiritual Adultery Leads to Brokenness: Like Israel and Judah, when we turn away from God and pursue idols—whether they be material things, relationships, or self-made philosophies—we are committing spiritual adultery. This betrayal of our relationship with God leads to emptiness, much like a broken cistern that cannot hold water. Idols may promise satisfaction, but they leave us spiritually dry and unfulfilled. Forsaking the Fountain of Living Waters: God offers Himself as the "fountain of living waters," an endless source of life, peace, and satisfaction. However, when we reject Him, we try to quench our thirst with broken, man-made cisterns—things like wealth, power, or temporary pleasures. These cisterns cannot hold water and will ultimately leave us thirstier than before, as only God can truly satisfy our souls. Foolish Exchanges Lead to Destruction: Israel's greatest sin was exchanging the glory of the living God for lifeless idols. This is akin to trading a priceless treasure for something worthless. In our lives today, we must guard against the temptation to exchange God's eternal promises for temporary, fleeting pleasures. Like the Israelites, we must recognize that only God offers true fulfillment, and anything else is as futile as a sieve trying to hold water. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Christian by Name or Christian by Nature! Here are three key takeaways from this expository sermon based on John 3:1-6 and other passages: 1. A Christian Is a Follower of Christ: Being a Christian means following Jesus, not just believing in Him intellectually, but walking in obedience to His voice every day. Jesus said His sheep know His voice and follow Him. The question is—are you hearing His voice and following Him, or are you drifting into the comfort of cultural Christianity? 2. A Christian Is Not Defined By Good Works or Tradition: Salvation is by grace through faith, not by anything we can earn or achieve. Good works don't save us; they are the evidence of a heart transformed by God's grace. If you've been trying to earn God's love through your actions or relying on tradition to define your faith, it's time to rest in the finished work of Christ. 3. A Christian Is Born Again, Not Just Born Into Religion: Being born into a Christian family or attending church doesn't make someone a Christian. Jesus said that unless we are born again, we cannot see the Kingdom of God. This spiritual rebirth is the true mark of a Christian. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Our Assurance In A Dark World! Here are three key takeaways from this expository sermon based on Romans 8:31-39: God is Actively Fighting for Us: The battle between good and evil is real, but we can find hope and peace knowing that God is not just a distant observer-He is actively for us, and nothing can ultimately stand against us (Romans 8:31). Victory is Secured Through Christ: We are not striving for victory; we are standing in the victory that Jesus has already won over sin and evil. Because of Christ's love, we are more than conquerors, no matter what challenges we face (Romans 8:37). We Can Live With Confidence and Assurance: As believers, we are called to engage in the spiritual battle with the full assurance that God's victory is our victory. No matter the opposition, we can live confidently, knowing that nothing can separate us from God's love (Romans 8:39). * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Put It All On! Here are three key takeaways from this expository sermon based on Ephesians 6:10-20: First, we learn the importance of knowing our enemy. The spiritual forces at work against us are real, and they are powerful. But they are not stronger than the God we serve. By understanding the devil's schemes, we can be vigilant and not fall into his traps. Next, we will focus on the need to wear the full armor of God. Each piece-the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit-equips us to stand firm. But we must put each on daily. Just as a soldier wouldn't dream of going into battle without his armor, we must not face the day without being spiritually prepared. Finally, we will explore the vital role of standing firm through prayer. Prayer is the thread that ties the armor together and the fuel that empowers us to fight. It connects us directly to God, our source of strength, and it keeps us alert and ready for whatever comes our way. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Our Anchor Holds! Here are three key takeaways from this expository sermon based on Hebrews 6:13-20: We Are to Engage with God's Word Daily This sermon emphasizes the importance of daily engagement with Scripture. God's Word provides strong encouragement, guiding us through life's uncertainties. By prayerfully reading and meditating on the Bible, we allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us, strengthening our faith and providing clarity in our daily lives. We Are to Hold Fast to God's Promises Our hope is anchored in the unchanging promises of God. Just as Abraham received what was promised through faith and patience, we are encouraged to hold tightly to the promises of God, knowing that they are sure and steadfast. This hope gives us the strength to persevere through life's challenges. We are To Trust in the Finished Work of Christ The hope we have in Christ is secure because it is anchored in His finished work—His death, resurrection, and victory over sin. This hope acts as an anchor for our souls, keeping us firm and steady regardless of the storms we face in life. By trusting in Christ's work, we find peace, assurance, and the strength to endure. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Choose This Day! Today, we explored Joshua 24:14-18, where Joshua challenges the Israelites to make a decisive choice to serve the Lord. We addressed three key points: Reflect on God's Faithfulness: Remember how God has been with you through every season of life, guiding and providing for you. Reject False Gods: Identify and remove the idols that distract you from wholeheartedly serving God. Commit to Serving the Lord: Make a firm, daily commitment to serve God with sincerity and truth, both individually and as a community. As we reflect on these points, it's essential to ask ourselves: Whom will we serve? Like the Israelites, we face a choice. Will we serve the distractions and idols of this world, or will we choose to serve the Lord? * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Benefits of a God-Centered Life!! In this message we will see how continual praise brings joy, seeking God brings peace, and trusting Him brings deliverance. These are not just abstract concepts but real-life experiences that can deeply impact our daily lives. As we delve into these points, we will uncover the rich truths in Psalm 34 and other supporting scriptures. By the end of our time together, you'll see how a God-centered life is not only beneficial but essential for true fulfillment and transformation. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Crushing Weight of Guilt! Guilt is truly the secret curse. It can devastate us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We've seen how it affected David, and many of us have felt its heavy hand in our own lives. Guilt's curse manifests in physical ailments, inner turmoil, and a sense of divine disfavor, leaving us feeling barren and distant from God. Yet, there is hope. The cure for guilt lies in the steps David took: confession, repentance, and receiving God's forgiveness. Confession means acknowledging our sins fully and honestly, without hiding or justifying them. Repentance involves a genuine change in behavior, a broken and contrite heart that seeks to turn away from sin. And finally, forgiveness is God's gracious gift through Christ, freeing us from the burden of guilt and restoring our relationship with Him. Have you truly dealt with the cause of your guilt, or are you merely trying to soothe the feelings without facing your sin head-on? * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Soil Makes The Difference! The soil makes the difference! The seed of God's Word is powerful and unchanging, but its impact depends on the condition of our hearts. Let's strive to be good soil, receptive to His message, and ready to produce a bountiful harvest for His Kingdom. Today, let's ask God to help us cultivate hearts that are open, deep, and free from distractions, so that His Word can take root and flourish within us. The problem is not with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but with the soil or heart in which it lands. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Our Concern Is Obedience! In today's sermon, we explored the story of Jonah, focusing on his journey from rebellion to reluctant obedience and the powerful lessons it holds for us. We saw how Jonah's knowledge and experiences with God led him to initially resist God's call to preach repentance to Nineveh, fearing the mercy God might show to such a wicked city. Despite Jonah's personal struggles and anger over God's compassion, the Ninevites repented, and God spared them, highlighting His boundless grace and mercy. We are reminded that our duty is to obey God's commands without reservation, trusting Him with the outcomes, and extending His love and mercy to all, just as He has done for us. This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Getting Back On Track! Imagine for a moment coming home to Him. Imagine returning to God. As I read through the parable of the Prodigal Son this week, its content really struck home again, as it always does. God desires more than anything for you to realize His great love for you. He wants you to be an obedient son or daughter and therefore reap the great blessings He has in store for you. Jonah learned the hard way. Maybe as you listen to this message, you realize that you are learning the hard way too. You might look like you have your life together, but it is falling apart. Although you still claim to be a Christian, your life is being lived in many ways outside of Christ. Imagine that right now, this very moment, in the privacy of your heart and mind, you ask God for forgiveness. Respond to the prompting of God's Holy Spirit's conviction of your sin. Jonah learned the hard way that God was not amused by disobedience. The same principle applies to us today. I urge you to approach God with a penitent heart and seek forgiveness and restoration. Then, ask God to help you live a life that is consistent and God-honoring. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Making The Right Decision! How should you and I respond to the message and challenge provided by Jonah's disobedience? As believers in this community, we are called to carry out God's plan, specifically here in the Argyle, Stephen, and Warren area. How do you think we are doing in this task? Have we been unwilling to realize and act upon God's call in our lives? God warns us against rebellion and against rejecting His call. Disobedience will bring about severe consequences. So, how do we change? What would change look like in our lives? * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: I Hereby Resolve! Whether it's in your workplace, school, or personal life, ask yourself if your decisions align with God's principles. Like Daniel, make a conscious decision to honor God in every aspect of your life. Be prepared to face ridicule or exclusion for your faith-based choices. Just as Daniel and his friends stood firm and were eventually honored, trust that standing up for your beliefs will lead to long-term blessings and respect. Focus on the long-term rewards of faithfulness rather than immediate gratification. Daniel's story shows that God's rewards, though sometimes delayed, are worth the wait and bring true fulfillment. Remember, God is always with you, providing strength and guidance. As Hebrews 11:6 reminds us, “He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Trust that your faithfulness will not go unnoticed by God. He will reward you in ways you might not expect but that will always be for your ultimate good. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: What Heaven Is Like! In John 14:1-3, Jesus comforts His disciples with a promise that resonates deeply with every believer: "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." Heaven, as described here, is a place of eternal peace and comfort, prepared with love by Christ Himself. It is a home where every believer will be in the presence of Jesus, free from sorrow and suffering, dwelling in the security and joy of God's perfect love. This assurance of a divine, prepared place reflects the personal care Jesus has for each of us, affirming that our future with Him is certain and filled with His glory. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Living With Anticipation! In 2 Peter 3:1-13, the apostle Peter provides a compelling reminder of the certainty of Christ's return and the profound implications it holds for believers. He emphasizes the importance of remembering the teachings of the prophets and apostles, particularly in a world where scoffers deny the Lord's promises, driven by their own desires.
