In deze aflevering is Richard te gast op de KCJ, de kampeer- en caravanbeurs die gehouden werd van 2 tot 6 oktober in de Jaarbeurs Utrecht. In het kampeertheater mocht hij Mark de Vos van Goboony interviewen. Hier kon je live bij zijn en dat deden de mensen dan ook! De beurs was goed bezocht en had zelfs 4% meer bezoekers. Het is dus duidelijk: kamperen zit weer in de lift!  En dat merken ze ook bij Goboony, het grootste camperverhuurplatform van Europa. Mark de Vos is oprichter en mede-eigenaar en begon 10 jaar geleden aan een avontuur, doordat hij bij zijn vorige werkgever ‘er uit' moest. Dit bleek een blessing in disguise en hij vertrok met zijn vrouw en nog jonge gezin voor een camperreis naar Nieuw Zeeland.  In 2011 ontdekte De Vos tijdens deze camperreis door Nieuw-Zeeland het gemak van reizen met een kampeerauto, wat hem inspireerde om zelf een camper aan te schaffen in Nederland. Hij begon zijn camper te verhuren aan vrienden en kennissen, wat al snel populair werd. Ondanks de grote vraag was het verhuren via Marktplaats omslachtig en tijdrovend, vooral door het gebrek aan vertrouwen en de moeilijkheden met verzekeringen. Eind 2014 besloot De Vos contact op te nemen met Foppe Mijnlieff, die hij eerder had ontmoet in Nieuw-Zeeland, om samen het platform Goboony op te zetten, met het idee het verhuurproces te vereenvoudigen. De rest is inmiddels geschiedenis en Goboony is het grootste camperverhuurplatform van Europa, mede ook door verschillende internationale overnames en fusies met o.a. hun Franse evenknie Yeskapa. Op dit moment hebben ze 30.000 campers die ze aanbieden, maar de potentie is nog enorm met zo'n 3.000.000 campers in Europa. Die staan te vaak nog stil op de oprit of in de stalling en worden dan slechts max 3 of 4 weken per jaar gebruikt.  Zonde zegt Mark! Al moeten mensen soms nog wel even over een drempel om van ‘bezit naar gebruik' te gaan denken. “Tot dat ze zien wat het oplevert” zegt Mark. De gemiddelde verhuurinkomsten kunnen zo oplopen tot 5.000 a 10.000 euro per jaar.  Het belangrijkste wat Goboony biedt is een centrale plek van vraag en aanbod plus het label van betrouwbaarheid. Dat wordt bovenal door bezoekers onderling gedaan. De contracten, betaling en afhandeling lopen vervolgens via het internetbedrijf. Thank you Jacqueline, for speaking truth. Sadly, That's not where the theater ended. Shortly thereafter, I got stalked for the 276th time, recorded a video of it, and we experienced some of the usual checkout theater. All which makes a great show. Anyways...
