Join me as I interview one of my absolute fav people in LA Comedy the fabulous Ryan Stout!! This guy maybe have been the most informative guest ever on Inappropriate Earl so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did doing it. Follow him on Twitter @StoutRyan and Instagram @stoutsider as well as me on Twitter/Instagram @EarlSkakel ENJOY!!! Ryan Stout is a well-crafted and seasoned comedian who has performed all over the world. A regular guest on Chelsea Lately, Ryan has also appeared on CONAN, HBO’s Funny as Hell, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, and his own half-hour special: Comedy Central Presents… Ryan Stout. His debut comedy album, Touché, was released by Comedy Central Records and reached #7 on the iTunes comedy charts. While still in college, Stout was already performing over 300 shows per year when, at age 22, he won the Boston International Comedy Festival’s stand-up comedy competition. He went on to perform at HBO’s The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas, HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, the prestigious Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival in Montreal, and the very hip SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. Within six months of moving to Los Angeles, he booked his first pilot, hosting a game show for MTV. That one job established him as a go-to host for any occasion and over the next few years MTV booked Ryan to host nearly 50 projects, including pilots, specials, and episodes of random television. He even hosted the iconic MTV Spring Break. In 2013, Ryan signed on with AXS TV to host the network’s one-hour flagship show, AXS Live. Ryan turned out to be the 21st and final host of AXS Live, presenting more episodes than any of his forebears and doubling– yeah, DOUBLING– the show’s ratings. When the program was eventually cancelled, the experience was like déjà vu. Just like his MTV days, AXS TV took full advantage of Ryan’s hosting capabilities, placing him at the helm of an assortment of programing: AXS TV’s New Year’s Bash, the 2014 Grammy Prediction Special, “best of” episodes of Gotham Comedy Live, and LIVE coverage of all the biggest parties in New York City leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII on AXS TV’s Super Party. Currently, he can be seen on Fameless, a new prank show from David Spade and TruTV. And he stars in AXS TV’s talking head comedy series, MOCKpocalypse, which began airing its third season on August 27, 2015.
Comedian, actor, producer and all-around swell fellow Dave Park swings by to talk with Tim about the new season of Mockpocalypse on AXS TV (Call your cable operator today!), his up-and-coming comedy ensemble Dr. God, and about Dr. God's new feature film, "Bloodsucking Bastards," available right now from SHOUT FACTORY!In additon to being well known for his snappy haircuts and exceptional wardobe, David was recently part of the Second City Tour Company on the high seas. He has appeared on IFC, AMC, Comedy Central and the TV Guide Network. He currently works as a writer/producer and sometimes on-air talent in television production. Today’s guest on “ADD Comedy with Dave Razowsky,” is Dave Holmes. You might have seen Dave on "Reno 911," AXS TV’s “MOCKPocalypse,” FX, or MTV, where he was the first runner-up in their “Wanna Be a VJ?” contest, parlaying the loss into a nice career at the network. Dave’s the “Somewhere in Time” columnist for New York Magazine, is the culture columnist for Esquire, and is finishing his book "Party of One," to be released in the spring of 2016. Those are just facts. We chatted about how a single ant can make you realize how vast life is, how a seizure warning got Dave in hot water in the blogosphere, and getting work in LA because you want to. This is a really good one.
Neil Garguilo & Dave Park Return!! Actors, Writers, Producers Neil & Dave join Kevin & Steve to talk pit stains, their show Mockpocalypse on AXS TV, the sale of their new film Bloodsucking Bastards, their comedy group Dr. God, pit stains.... and MORE. Enjoy the Chew.
Lauren Miller joins The Building Years to discuss being a tour manager for stand-up comedian Angelah Johnson, her recent appearance on AXS TV, and her dangerous first week in Los Angeles.
Garguilo & Park are the creators of the very funny new show "MOCKpocalypse" on AXS TV. The show currently airs Thurs nights and Kevin & Steve were lucky enough to appear in a few episodes. They talk about the show, their new feature film "Bloodsucking Bastards," their comedy group Dr. God, Park's appearance in "Club Dread," Garguilo's role on MTV's "Awkward" and they all chew on the hot new "Garguilo Sandwich." Enjoy!
