Episode 17: Vanessa Codorniu - Honoring Intuition

Radically Selfish

Vanessa Codorniu is the very first psychic guest on the Radically Selfish podcast, and she brings it. A Psychic mentor and Hypnotherapist, Vanessa tells us about why it’s more important now more than ever to listen to our intuition, the reality of coaching, and how to make our dreams come true.   At 16, Vanessa’s mother tested her abilities with a Ouija Board, and her family revealed their own psychic capabilities- Vanessa is a 4th generation medium. Her desire to heal herself, and a feeling that the earth could simply be better, inspired her to share her gift.   But she wasn’t fully ready to step into her power until a family vacation turned into a traumatic car crash. Seeing her life flash before her eyes without her work being fulfilled, and coming out unscathed, shook her to finally take the plunge. She immediately created a 9 month online program and vowed to never settle for a job or relationship that was less than her true calling.   Come for the story, stay for the thrills. This episode is one for the books. More Radical Lessons in this episode:   — We’re all capable of tapping into our intuition.   — Intuition is about tapping into translogical information- energetic information beyond time and space. We’re all wired to receive energetic information, it’s just a matter of listening.   — Spend time alone, without screens, and let yourself be. Ask: what do I need to know right now? It may come in the form of a message, feeling, or vision.   — Stress and anxiety have no place while listening to intuition, the information won’t be helpful if we process it with fear. This information is objective and it needs to be treated like this. It comes from a wise place.   — We have to be careful about our intuition triggering our ego. A great first step is to sit with, and not doing anything with, the guidance we may receive.   — Listen to the things you naturally gravitate towards and share with others. Are you holding circles or hosting dinners? Tap into what you are coming back to and makes you YOU.   — Some people can’t create when they feel constricted- you have to know yourself and do things your way.   — Not everyone who advertises that they have the answers do, and sometimes those who don’t advertise do that for a reason. Episode 13: Michelle Keinan - A Special Message About DO YOU

Radically Selfish

Today’s episode is all about what it really means to be “selfish” as a woman, and next week’s launch of DO YOU, a revolutionary new group for women ready to live the life of their desires. Here to inspire us is Michelle Keinan, founder of Radically Selfish and feminist powerhouse.   When Michelle decided to take everything she’d been working on and rebrand it with the “Radically Selfish” name, there was a huge ripple effect — people have a lot of preconceived notions about what it means to be selfish, few of them positive. As women, we’re taught that selfishness is a childish, vain thing, and that it means putting ourselves first to the detriment of those around us.   It’s an implicit judgment that makes us shrink in on ourselves, that constricts what we think we’re capable of or the value we place on ourselves and our needs and desires. From our relationships to our jobs, our fear of being branded “selfish” holds us back in myriad ways.   The thing is, we make the decision to let that fear rule our life — it’s a hard choice, but it’s a choice. Michelle’s new group, DO YOU, is about choosing to make a DIFFERENT choice, day after day, until it becomes second nature and YOU become the guru, the expert, the only person whose opinion matters.   DO YOU is an opportunity for to work together, to harness the collective energy of a group of powerful women making the conscious decision to do what feels best for them and lead lives based on desire. Registration for DO YOU closes this weekend — reach out to learn more! https://michellekeinan1.typeform.com/to/F1yXzh   More Radical Lessons in this episode:   — We’re taught that selfishness is bad, and it makes us sacrifice pieces of ourselves; in reality, taking care of ourselves is the best first step to taking care of the people around us.   — The disempowerment we feel when we allow ourselves to believe we don’t deserve more shows up in everything we do; we stay in unhealthy relationships and situations because we tell ourselves this is all we’re worth.   — Each one of us gets to decide every day how we’re going to treat ourselves and value ourselves, or whether we’re going to let other people define those things for us.   — A decision means a choice, and whenever we get to make a choice it’s just one of many possibilities.   — Ask yourself: what choices are you making? What do you reinforce in your life? Are they the right choices for you, or are they the right choices for someone else? Confront how you might be holding yourself back.   Links! Living according to one’s desires, no matter the circumstances or what society tells us is possible… How do you want to experience your life? That’s not only a fantastic question for anyone, it’s the exact question that is a foundation for healing done by Michelle Keinan, somatic healer and the co-founder of City Wellness Collective, a community and center for healers in New York City, and the founder of Radically Selfish. Keinan shares why we are personally responsible for the possibilities in our own lives, responsible for how we feel, how we show up for the lives we create, how you can ask yourself “how do I want to feel”, you’ll learn how to channel anger into creation, and Keinan reveals what people who teach manifesting your ideal life, get wrong. Plus, you’ll discover what Keinan has in common with the great ark builder, Noah. Keinan joins guest host Jessica Brodkin [Episode 11] in the MouthMedia Network studios powered by Sennheiser. In this episode: Keinan discusses personal transformation, becoming a magnet for everything you want in your life, and creating Radically Selfish How as a somatic healer Keinan become a community healer, and the role feeling deep love and connection to people has played How most people are used to using their minds/verbal to navigate problems, finding solutions and hearing of spirit energy and shamans and sources of energy and tools Somatic healing is trusting in intelligence of body, and one does not have to be a believer or use the mind for it to work An example of how animals vibrate when in fear or when cold, and humans don’t allow our bodies to do what we are naturally able to do, automatically unconsciously limiting responsibilities due to lessons or trauma from the past Being a futurist How Keinan watching her immigrant parents come to the USA and build lives from nothing inspired her to be a creator, and how it is our personal responsibility to find what puts us in our “zone of genius” Power being fueled by rebellion and anger, like many creators, being alchemists, and transforming pain into magic Anger as a strong fuel, and an act of moving forward and processing something that needs to change, harnessing that energy that intelligence is saying we need to do, aligning with inner knowledge to go after what we want and being more free, which means the possibilities are endless Rebellion, pleasure, creation as three pillars of Keinan The goal of pleasure and joy in life, how Keinan’s guiding energy growing up was survival because of immigrant parents from Communist Russia Growing things from pleasure with hints of Buddhism, and a way to control the ego while seeing life through a spiritual lens We think that things are happening to us, but we can tap into desire, and take actions that will bring in healing and changes So many different pieces that can put us back together Why manifestations might not work in managing one’s future, releasing attachment to outcome, and the paradox of deeply desiring something while not being attached to outcome Taking magic out there and applying it to realities of the real world “Being the dance” in order to play the game Social media portraying perfect happy moments while our lives are not glamorous as that, how pain drives us, looking at past pain and being driven by it while realizing that part of one’s life is over Honoring painful moments and criticism because they led to where things are today How the theme from Keinan’s childhood and core wound is not being OK as she is, how being forced into a box has made that force bigger, telling everyone she is OK as she is A paradigm of “Zero Sum”, a finite amount of good, and how that might come from immigrants from a poor culture as the source The central message of radical selfishness (also her podcast), and how it is about honoring oneself to be everything they are capable of being
