Between a long-awaited emotional arc for Kevin Keller and a surprise “Stupid Love” performance by Cheryl Blossom and the River Vixens, it seems this episode of Riverdale was hoping to give they gays everything they want. Unfortunately, “Destroyer” misses the mark—it may have some important things to say about trauma, but the results feel especially bleak, putting Kevin, Betty and company through the ringer once again. Nevertheless, our podcast Dial M For Maple breaks it all down beat by beat to ponder where Riverdale could be taking us for its midseason finale. Also in this episode, hosts Marah and Cameron go gaga for Cheryl's trip to Chromatica, explain why Betty's FBI cohort (and ex?) Glen is not to be trusted, and share their theories on the origins of “Lerman Logan.” And, finally, in this week's Blue & Gold, an update on the Archie-verse's Who-y “it” couple, and a funny glimpse at the future circa 1990s Archie Comics.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

feat guest: Hailey Cheryl: We’re going on strike! Maria: Yes! They’re doing direct action! Ooh, yes! Withhold your labor! Age-old labor tactic. This is beautiful. Y’all, has it EVER been clear that Riverdale is depicting an indictment of the super-wealthy than in this football championship episode that gives us the owning-class Stonewall assholes playing against the ragtag Riverdale working class team? (Cough, cough, billionaires shouldn’t exist.) Maria and Hailey have so much fun with this last hurrah for the River Vixens and Bulldogs, from a wild final cheerleader musical number to Cheryl and Veronica’s new joint business idea to Betty’s ongoing investigation with the help of Monica Posh and a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina cameo. Plus: our usual amount of confusion, disbelief, and attempts at theorizing around the latest troubling Bughead-related flash-forward. Oh, and we also talk Katy Keene excitement and Riverdale’s Season 5 renewal(including what post-high school Riverdale might look like.) As always, check out our bodysuit looks on Insta at bodysuits4bughead or Twitter at B4B_Podcast. RIP Luke Perry, love forever. ————————————————————————————— A message from Rebecca, who is taking a step back from the podcast for the foreseeable future: “I want to start off saying how much fun this experience has been for me and how I want to ultimately figure a way to be able to play a role again in the future. I am in grad school now and my program is just overwhelming me. I'm also just a person so sometimes life gets to me too. I want to be able to be the best podcast co-host to my dear friend Maria, and to those who listen! Right now, I just have to take some time for myself and focus on school. I will be back! Because I need to know who that damn Twiggy-Smalls is and I have too many bodysuits now for my own good! Thanks to Maria! Thanks to RAS! Thanks to Bughead! XOXO Rebecca.”
It's the season 3 finale of THE RIVERDALE REGISTER, you guys! On this episode, John and Kaitlin talk that jaw-dropping Gargoyle King twist (we knew it was Kevin!!!!!), Alice's gig with the FBI, and whether Jughead is alive by spring break senior year. It's been an awesome year! Thanks for listening. We love you, River Vixens!
Yo and hello River Vixens! John and Kaitlin are back to discuss another round of Archie shenanigans. This week, we ask hard-hitting questions like: Did the babies float? Is Cucumber Melon the only one who really cares about Hotdog? Why is everyone chill with swimming in leech-infested waters? A big, huge thank you to everyone who left us reviews this year — we so appreciate you listening! Here's to a fun season 3.
John and Kaitlin are back with a brand-new mini. Before season 3 begins, let's unpack season 2, talk about what we did with our summer (apparently nothing?), and read some listener reviews! We love you and thanks for listening
Welcome back River Vixens! John and Kaitlin are joined by Two Of A Kind's Krystal to discuss the Riverdale Reaper, Kevin's DILFy dad, and whatever the hell has gotten into Cheryl this week.
We waited all summer, but the show has finally returned. Welcome back to Riverdale, Bulldogs and River Vixens. The show came back with a whole new mystery for our gang to wrap their inquisitive minds around. The show picked up almost immediately where it left off. Poor Fred's life is hanging on by a thread and Archie is devastated. His friends immediately launch into action. Listen in as Brad and Cort break down their favorite moments from the season premiere and start playing detective (ala Jughead himself). Were you a little spooked when Archie walked in on Cheryl bestowing the "kiss of life" on Fred? Do you think Betty should be worried about Jughead's growing connection with the Serpents? What was your favorite moment from "A Kiss Before Dying"? Do you think that Veronica could be right about her parents somehow being connecting to the shooting? Be sure to listen in and then hit the comments below to let us know what you thought of the episode.
CBC's Raina Douris swings by to dissect the internal politics of the River Vixens, evaluate just how messed up the teens of Riverdale really are, and of course to try and guess what base Archie and Veronica got to.
Love redheads? Hate Miss Grundy? Ship a couple within minutes of the premiere of Riverdale on The CW? Like, same. Hosts Casey Cage and Victoria Jane discuss the characters of the new Archie adaptation in the first episode of the River Vixens podcast.
