Survey Because You are A Helpful SoB   The Return of Princess Etheline Jughead is ambushed by Dilton’s lost boys (what did I say about that kid in the bunker) and hides in said bunker where he finds Ethel. Ethel is in love with/scared of being murdered by GK. This turns into BH madness on a bus. Ethel is so grateful that she is willing to tell Jughead the truth, the Gargoyle King is Jason Blossom????????????? WHAT   Turns out You Can Harvest More than Just Carrots They start the hypnosis and Betty shares her fears about Dark Betty WHICH ARE REAL FEARS BECAUSE CHUCK and she slips into a room, a room with Betty, the Real Betty who is talking all kinds of unknown things.  Betty is having breakfast with the Queer Four (Kangs and Choni) where Kevin has a big scar on his back, Kevin claims it is from Edgar taking out his trauma. Everyone is clearly unhappy with Betty being a big downer. So for the next session, Betty pulls a Get Out and stuffs her ears. Betty picks a lock and discovered a blood and organ bank!!! After a quick Jughead pep-talk she brings a kidney to Cheryl’s room to prove it to her and TONI is about to get the procedure so Cheryl runs off rescues her and sends her running while Cheryl stays behind to fight off the orderlies and give Toni and running start. Betty goes to grab Kevin but her and Fangs hold her down. Everyone stop doing this it stresses me out.     Not Mad You Hurt People, Just Mad You Lied to Me, ft- hard boys and their feelings Molly Ringwald is just a treasure trove of strong women in power #lesbians including an FBI agent, jesus Molly you should have been here months ago. The FBI wants to catch Hiram in a sting. Why does Veronica keep mentioning the underage drinking, we couldn’t get the embezzlement charges to stick? A plan emerges, Archie will fight Hiram and the FBI will catch Hiram accepting bets on the match Veronica goes to gloat at Hiram but let’s wait until sentencing before we do that. Molly fills Archie’s head with nonsense about Veronica and feelings (this is a Fred Move) but when Archie goes to Veronica to profess his feelings there are two champagne glasses and Reggie was there first. Veronica tries to salvage but the mood is ruined and Archie RIGHTLY leaves because no. more. Use. of. The. Word. Endgame.

On this episode of THE RIVERDALE REGISTER, John and Kaitlin discuss Reggie's not-ideal plan, Penelope's confusing worldview, and the latest Gargoyle King development.

Parentdale: Tommy and Sierra’s Love and Justice for Moose Tommy and Sierra are getting married, and the kids want a party, so cute. We get TWO scenes of them in bed together. #wet Also loving the legal foreplay Kevin and Moose and fooling around but Moose hasn’t come out yet, Moose finally tells his dad and they plan some bunker sex. (Cheryl advises new sheets which gross. Is there a laundry schedule?) Meanwhile the parents have been called together to play the game. But it turns out this was all a distraction to get to Moose and Kevin. V Scared. Reggie meets Gladys, and JB is an evil genius Hermione explains she needs {assuming 2 mil?} and Reggie/Veronica are going to get it, starting with the speakeasy. There isn’t enough but Reggie offers to rob his abusive father to get the money, ending up with a bullet graze and a bag of dyed money. Gladys and JB then head home to mind fuck FP and Jughead that they are home and happy but clearly this isn’t true. What is her end game? ALSO THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE A VILLIAN! Where are they all sleeping, it’s a small house Toni voices her needs to her partner Toni feels like she lost her family. Cheryl promises to fix everything by forming a new girl gang the pretty poisons. Which is a dumb name but as you heard it here first - Was My Idea! Also why weren’t these girls in the Serpents? And why have we never seen them before because they are hot hot hot, like has Toni dated them before? Has Cheryl crushed on them? Josie gets some support and some kissing Josie’s auditioning to Juliard and needs a ride to Seaside, but Sweet Pea is tired of being a hot piece of ass. Don’t worry, Archie is always around to be a hot piece of ass. Marcus almost makes sense as the original Gargoyle King, but they closed the loop on him too. So like who is left? Edgar I guess Also--Where is Chic people? Going to guess right here right now that he will be another fake Gargoyle King but not the true king. Disappointed that keller probably won’t be the Gargoyle King, but glad we are settling down with some good parents.

Continuing everyone's favorite game here on Riverdale: Plot or Not? Biff and Cal: “Bitch shut uuUup!” Jug and Arch happen upon a farm house. Half naked and all his EASILY IDENTIFIABLE TRAITS out in the open Archie moves bails of hay while Jughead goes into town to take photos where he runs into a bunch of tweens who are deep into meth/fizzle rock and G&G. Of course Hiram arrives and Archie has his monthly murdery feelings but Jughead talks him down and they escape. Veronica and Reggie: “You sweet sweet baby dumb dumb” Vee needs money and decides to go back to her criminal upbringing with a gambling night. Elio is winning the poker night but then Vee does a hand and wins it all back. It was a double cross planned by Hiram. Veronica ranks in the dough but it is a one trick pony, it isn’t going to bring in steady business. I can not with the Lodge family anymore. Betty and Ethel: “NoooOoooOOoOOOoOoooPE!” All the patients are given Fizzle Rock, Betty throws hers in the trash - the fact she doesn’t flush them means she is no longer allowed to be called smart anymore- but wait Ethel is her new roommate. In the medical wing Betty finds proof that she is being dosed because of instruction by HL (probs Hiram). There's a lot of running around and then some breaking Betty's will to live and now she's praying to the Gargoyle King like everyone else. Does Alice know about Sisters? Is Hiram behind the farm? Is Sisters being used as a test lab for Fizzle Rocks? Who gave young Hiram the Fizzle Rock in the first place? Betty is done with Jughead’s nonsense and rounds up the other children of the Midnight club to do some classic Betty’s-Bad-Investigating™ and ask their parents for clues about who killed Featherhead. Reggie gets a black eye and Marty Mantle gain a lead in the run for Worst Parent of Riverdale. Jughead sounds absolutely insane talking with Betty about how everything is a quest and everything is connected. He is probably right that it is a larger game, but he could be less of a prat about it (really with the bowing Jughead? Really?) At the next fight a wig-clad Veronica managed to sneak in and see Archie, he is not interested in talking and just wants to fuck. Archie notes he could maybe escape out the large drain that could fit five children easily. With the help of smoke bombs he does just that after getting stabbed/kissed and fighting the not-dead Mad Dog. Oh and it turns out the Warden was also playing G&G Mari and Caitlin then name basically everyone in the show as possible Gargoyle King, from Hermione to Fred, from Pop Tate to Clifford Blossom. Four thumbs up from the very biased Riverdale Rewind hosts, Nomi & Jess, for Ch 40, "The Great Escape."  Strong writing deepened the mystery of how expansive the Gryphons and Gargoyles game truly is.  Just Jess and Nomi dig into who could be the Gargoyle King, what new gang Joaquin is joining, if the Black Hood is returning in a future chapter and why Veronica is only selling mocktails and expecting make a profit.  So many questions until Riverdale returns from its Thanksgiving hiatus on November 28th.
