Surf Memphis is hosted by Christy and Carly, two twenty something best friends living together in Midtown who invite strangers from all the world to come stay with them for free through Couchsurfing, showing them Memphis, sharing meals, and playing music together. In this episode Carly and Christy explain the concept of couchsurfing, what being new to Memphis is like and share some stories from their travels and as well as stories from hosting over 60 people in the city of Memphis so far. More about the hosts:Carly, originally from New York moved to Memphis in June of 2017. Carly enjoys sweet potatoes, getting lost, Ikea and rapping Hamilton. Carly has traveled through couchsurfing, hostel hopping and workaway in 12 countries.Christy is originally from Arkansas and moved to Memphis in August of 2015. She enjoys hot wings, Tiny Desk concerts, scaring Carly, and oversharing. So far Christy has travelled through workaway, backpacking, and couchsurfing in 17 countries.
