Chatting With Sherri welcomes author; Carey V. Azzara!  Carey V. Azzara is the author of three collections of short stories – Uncommon Heroes and Cars; a collection of novellas – Halley’s Gift and Eight Other Extraordinary Talesand The Lottery Curse. His short stories have been published in several anthologies and he authored Questionnaire Design for Business Research, a technical manual on marketing research practices. Carey V. Azzara visits Madame Perry's Salon to talk about his newest novel Kaitlin's Mooring. Azzara, a Boston resident, is the author of three collections of short stories – Uncommon Heroes and Cars; a collection of novellas – Halley’s Gift and Eight Other Extraordinary Tales; plus Heroes, Dogs, and Cars. His short stories have been published in several anthologies, and he authored Questionnaire Design for Business Research - a technical book on marketing research practices.

Lisa spent the hour with two uncommon heroes who rose from unexpected circumstances to miraculous missions. In 2015 Lionel Hagege was watching the news and drawn to a story about a young woman, who committed suicide because an intimate video of hers was shared online. This father of two daughters was spurred into action to found what is now known as FACEPINPOINT. The only Face Recognition Platform dedicated to Pinpoint your intimate pictures that are illegally published online and to take specific actions to have the images removed. It is an uncommon mission but Lionel is going across the globe to ensure what is shared in private should remain private.  In the next half hour Lisa and Lionel were deeply moved by 29 year old Terrell Scott. Terrell is an Author and Motivator who has defied all odds doctors set against him at birth. He has graduated college, lives on his own, has authored a book and encourages others to live their best lives as well despite any challenges or disabilities. The hour was electric! Enjoy the show! 

Daniel records his friend Rudy interviewing with Stanford Law Professor Joan Petersilia. Daniel and Rudy spent 3 days in the California Bay area attending the Uncommon Heroes awards ceremony where freedom fighter Elizabeth Calvin was honored, visiting the Prison Law Office in Berkeley and Stanford Law School. While at Stanford, Rudy discusses his gang validation in prison that led him to spending 15 years of his last 21 years in prison in the Solitary Housing Unit (SHU). The value of Criminal and Gang members Anonymous and mentorship to getting to the personal issues that lead individuals to a criminal lifestyle. Rudy discusses what leaving a gang made him feel. The importance of reaching young people at 9 - 10 years before they begin acting out. Corcoran SHU.
