But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.”
As we conclude our series on Hebrews 11, we are encouraged as believers to continue to run the race set before us. It's important to remain strong in our faith, especially during tough times. As a church, we are to encourage one another to press on, to fix our eyes on Jesus, and to run.
If you've ever felt like your past is too heavy, your story too stained, or your failures too loud, Rahab's story is for you. In Hebrews 11:31 we meet a woman whose life was marked by shame, yet whose simple, courageous faith caught the attention of heaven. This message walks through Rahab's journey, the scarlet cord in her window, the risk she took, the grace she received, and the legacy God wrote through her. Her story reminds us of the gospel: no matter how far you've been, the blood of Jesus brings you near.My prayer is that this sermon helps you:• Let go of the labels that no longer define you• Step into courageous obedience• Trust God with your future• See your life as part of God's greater story of graceYou are not your past. You are not your failure. You are not your file folder. In Jesus, you are redeemed, welcomed, and made new.

Pastor Micah Stephens powerfully unpacks Hebrews 11, the great “Hall of Faith,” showing that biblical faith is never blind but the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. Walking through Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Rahab, and more, he reveals how every hero's story was always pointing to Jesus—the better sacrifice, the better ark, the author and finisher of our faith—calling us to run the race looking unto Him.Reference VersesHebrews 11 verses 1–3, 2 Timothy 1 verse 5, Romans 8 verse 26, Hebrews 11 verse 4-11, Hebrews 11 verses 17–40, Hebrews 12 verses 1–2Make sure you subscribe to this channel and follow us on all our platforms to always stay up to date with our latest content! And you can always head over to our website for any general information!https://godspeak.comPrayer/NeedsIf you have any needs, or have a willingness to be used to meet various need in the body, please email info@godspeak.com. 1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. 5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. - Jesus (Matthew 6:22) Faith is the habit of seeing what God sees, but most of us suffer from vision deficiency. In the final chapters of the book of Hebrews, the author urges believers to fix our eyes on Jesus. By seeing Jesus for who he really is - the image of perfection and the pioneer of our faith - we will be able to see ourselves for who we are: imperfect sinners saved by grace through faith. Join us at The Story, Sundays in November, as we fix our eyes to see God's vision for our lives!

Send us a textIn Part 16 of our verse-by-verse Hebrews study, we step into the “Hall of Faith” in Hebrews 11. The writer has just warned his readers not to drift, harden, fall away, or shrink back — now he shows them what persevering faith looks like. We'll see how Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Israel at the Red Sea, Rahab, the judges, the prophets — even the unnamed, persecuted saints “of whom the world was not worthy” — were all trusting the same God we trust today. And here's the surprise: they didn't receive the promise yet because God had “something better” planned that includes us. Send us a textThe last half of Hebrews 10 contains a bold and timely message: because of Christ's once-for-all sacrifice, believers now have full, confident access to God!This is a major turning point in the letter. After 9.5 chapters of deep theological teaching, the author of Hebrews pivots from doctrine to application. The message is bold and timely: because of Christ's once-for-all sacrifice, believers now have full, confident access to God. No longer restricted by an earthly temple or mediated by a human priest, we can draw near to God directly—boldly, sincerely, and with full assurance of faith. The author lays out a threefold exhortation: draw near to God, hold fast to our hope, and stir up one another to love and good works.AFFILIATE NOTE: I first studied biblical Hebrew remotely through the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies.
