POPULARITY
In this vapid and meandering installment of the Vital Vegas Podcast, we dive headlong into everything Vegas! Mostly, we rely on a fascinating interview with Christina Binkley, author of "Winner Takes All," a New York Times bestselling book about Steve Wynn, Gary Loveman and Kirk Kerkorian. How we got someone so cool to be on our show, we'll never know. There's also the usual dreck including Vegas news and a listicle we spent approximately four minutes on. Listen, anyway! Like you have anything better to do.
Welcome to the final episode of the first season of the Vital Vegas Podcast, voted the #11 best Las Vegas podcast! We've got all the skinny about a new attraction at Bally's, Twilight Zone Minigolf, as well as an enlightening conversation with to Irish visitors. There's news, a hastily slapped-together listicle of the week and so much less. Listen. Learn. And possibly cringe.
In this action-packed edition of the podcast, we jam your ears full of the latest news from Las Vegas. We share the scoop about a new bar on Fremont East called Corduroy, and Robert Irvine's new place at Tropicana, Public House. There's tons of news about Las Vegas hotels, restaurants and more. This week's listicle has a ridiculously long list of new things in downtown Las Vegas you won't want to miss. We've also got a chat with Ben Deach, a longtime listener, multi-media journalist for KOLO in Reno, and a successful poker player. Listen, learn and wonder how you ever managed to enjoy Las Vegas without the Vital Vegas Podcast.
In this special episode of the Vital Vegas Podcast, we chat with Norm Clarke, the man who set the standard for breaking Las Vegas news. Norm's "Vegas Confidential" column ran in the Las Vegas Review-Journal 1999 to 2016. He now writes a column for the Vegas Stats & Information Network. Norm grew up in Montana, worked for the Associated Press in Ohio, was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and, at one point, won $50,000 in a state lottery. He's a class act and a friend, and it was a honor interviewing him for this podcast.

This episode goes off-script as we bring you a panel discussion featuring five downtown casino bosses. These are some of the players who make downtown Las Vegas what it is, and what it will be: Jonathan Jossel (Plaza), Seth Schorr (Downtown Grand), Derek Stevens (The D, Golden Gate), Jim Sullivan (Fremont) and Joe Woody (El Cortez). The host of the discussion is Patrick Hughes, President of Fremont Street Experience. That's where we work as our day gig, btw. Enjoy a virtually host-free installment of the Vital Vegas Podcast, and not just because we're hung over and too lazy to do a regular episode. Probably.
If you're not listening to the Vital Vegas Podcast, you're doing Sin City with one hand tied behind your back. Or something. This episode, we talk about Evel Pie, "Band of Magicians" and Beauty & Essex at Cosmopolitan. We chat with the President of Lip Smacking Foodie Tours (which just snagged "Best Las Vegas Tour" in the RJ's "Best of Las Vegas" honors). There's a listicle, Las Vegas history and a quick tutorial to get the most from the Top Dollar slot machine. Listen up! Vegas in the mood for you.
It's all the things you love about the Vital Vegas Podcast and less! We talk history, news and random things you need to make the most of a Las Vegas visit. The "Listicle of the Week" is 10 mistakes craps virgins make. Our special guest is Genaro Dispa, General Manager of Carlos'n Charlie's at Flamingo. Take a listen and get your fill of Sin City.
It's the odds-defying 26th Vital Vegas Podcast episode! We talk to an actual Italian about a new restaurant at Venetian. We do a perfunctory news round-up. We chat with fellow podcasters from Tipping the Odds Las Vegas. We scoop, we history, we listicle and we Bedazzle.
We've packed a metric hell-ton of Vegas into this installment of the Vital Vegas Podcast, some of it even coherent! We've got a walk-through of the new Nacho Daddy on the Las Vegas Strip. Then, we blast through a perfunctory round-up of Las Vegas news. Finally, our "Listicle of the Week" is the "Best and Worst Las Vegas Movies." Take a listen! Hey, it's 47 minutes of not listening to anything about politics, which can't be all bad.
You guessed it, it's time for the last episode of Season One of the Vital Vegas Podcast! There's a lot of ground to cover in this week's episode. It's all the Las Vegas news you need to know, and some you don't. Wahlburgers opens at Grand Bazaar Shops, "Mindfreak Live" bows at Luxor, Beat Coffeehouse and Burlesque Hall of Fame will close, Stewart + Ogden at Downtown Grand, too. There's a "Listicle of the Week," specifically, "10 Las Vegas Things That Are Taking Too Damned Long." Listen. Learn. Live. Love, and other "L" words.
This episode has more entertainment and information than you can reasonable expect at this irresistible price point! First, we hear from Benny Binion. Actually, it's just us reading a monologue in some sort of accent, but it's very interesting. Then we dive headlong into Las Vegas news, including the Monte Carlo rebrand (it will soon be Park MGM) and various legal scandals going on at the moment. This week's listicle is 10 Cheapskate Las Vegas Keepsakes. Say that five times fast. We also chat about how much winnings are "abandoned" by players in Las Vegas slot machines. It's our final episode of the first season of the Vital Vegas Podcast, so don't miss a single gerund.
It's another thrilling episode of the Vital Vegas Podcast! This time around, we talk Steve Wynn doing a downtown zipline, Topgolf's smashing debut, Fremont casino's 60th birthday and so much more. We also tip our hat to the 360 Vegas Podcast which held its recent 360 Vegas Vacation in Las Vegas. The lively show just hit 200 episodes! In this episode, we also get into the details of the new paid parking program at MGM Resorts hotels in Las Vegas. This week in Las Vegas history covers "Viva Las Vegas," a flick released 52 years ago this week. Join the Las Vegas fun and take a listen!
This week's episode is simple. First, we talk about how we're now 32% Irish. Second, we go on a walkabout at Pawn Plaza, despite walkabouts being more of an Australian thing than an Irish thing. Third, we deeply probe some serious WTF coming out of Lucky Dragon. It's not the best episode of the Vital Vegas Podcast, but it's certainly the most recent.
