We just want to tell you a little bit about what we perceived to be the truth in the moment that we were asked for the truth. We have a responsibility to tell you, beloved podcast listeners, the truth that we felt in our hearts was the truth then. And the truth is… this season is rough. While Leigh is off at Sundance this week, we're joined by HuffPost’s deputy enterprise editor Elise Foley to talk about Peter unknowingly becoming bro’s with Victoria F.’s ex, the drama between Victoria P. and Alayah, and how Peter’s people-pleasing will be his downfall. While Leigh takes some time off, Tam and Curtis kick off the fall season by talking festivals, football and frolicking fun! Our guests talk about the upcoming KY State BBQ Festival, there's a raucous debate over pumpkin-flavored foods, and Curtis and Tam play 20 questions. What did Tam reveal about herself? Tune in to find out!
While Leigh is on a much deserved vacation, Lauren comes off hiatus to help Carrie out in this episode. More importantly, however, the two of them are joined by International GBS Beerbassador and friend of the show, direct from New Zealand Kevin Adams. Kevin gives us a rundown of his beer adventures while he's been traveling in the United States and gives us a great description of his visit to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Carrie talks about meeting someone who was named after her favorite TV show and we do talk sports including the Women's World Cup and the NBA Draft. News of the Weird is all about what we think will be the next fitness crazy (hint it's in the title of this episode). Take It or Leave It is, well it's a little game we like to play that runs down a bunch of different topics.

This Pride Month Dagger Cast has truly “Got The Beat”!!! Our guest is the amazing Kyra Leigh, a Chicago mainstay as a performer and the musical director for Theater Wit’s upcoming Head Over Heels: The Musical. Centered around the high energy songs of The Go-Go’s, this show will have a special meaning for all those pop lovers in the LBTQIA community and for every guitar loving outcast who danced around their bedrooms to Carlisle and crew in their formative years. While Leigh gives us the fun, backstage scoop on that process, she also informatively talks about how she feels the Trans Community should fit into the landscape of exploitation films in this period of social adjustment. As a horror loving Trans Woman, she also gives us her take on the Sleepaway Camp series and other genre films that use gender as a plot point. It’s a vital chat, but also a super sweet and positive one, beaming with Leigh’s infectious heart and delightful energy. We’re, indeed, very proud to have you check it out!

In this episode of DANGERFILM Jack and André are star struck by Leigh Whannell, writer and director of UPGRADE, which is playing at the SFF. Best known for creating the hugely beloved SAW franchise, Leigh talks about how stand up is in fact scarier than SAW, what it takes to make a Leigh Whannell horror film, and radical filmmaking v.s his artistic process. While Leigh has made a career of creating horror entertainment and visually confronting films he also reveals the one confronting trope he refuses to show in his work. Talking to Leigh was funny, insightful, and for someone who created the most horrendously enjoyable booby trap films, deeply spiritual.
