JP keek de Iraanse Franse co-productie ‘It Was Just An Accident'. William kijk ‘At Close Range' uit 1986 met Christopher Walken en Sean Penn en wil ook nog even kort in de bres springen voor de Netflix haaienfilm 'Thrash'. We trokken de giallo ‘What Have You Done To Solange' uit de kast. Locked and Probably Loaded with DJ Qualls & Kelly Blackheart — chaos, camp, and candid confessions. In this episode DJ and Kelly riff on late-night movie nostalgia (A Chorus Line, Heathers), awkward theater memories, and the weird joy of revisiting cult favorites. They swap stories from emo nights at the Avalon, run-ins with fans, and drunkenly delightful takes on holiday/Hallmark comfort-watching — all with the show's signature absurdity and heart. Then the pair dive into modern annoyances: crushed Walmart chips (complete with Kelly's AI-made “microwaved crumbs” song), #mustardlife confessions (yes, there's a secret mustard compartment), public parenting pet peeves, and the creeping absurdity of AI — from gaslighting chatbots to fake-cry reality stars. Katherine Kamhi joined me to reflect on her career across daytime television, primetime, and film. Best known for her roles as Pamela Kingsley on All My Children and Marcy Campbell on Guiding Light, she discussed getting her start at 16 while balancing school and a demanding production schedule during a peak era of daytime television. She shared memories of working with Susan Lucci, her friendship with Jennifer Gatti, and her experience appearing in a scene with Oprah Winfrey early in Oprah's career. Katherine also reflected on her time on Guiding Light, where she returned over several years in a recurring role that allowed her to play a very different kind of character. The conversation also covered her work in primetime television, including appearances on NYPD Blue, The Practice, and Bones, as well as her role in the cult film Sleepaway Camp.Throughout the episode, Katherine offered insight into her experience working across different formats and how her career evolved from daytime to primetime and beyond.

Today you will hear my conversation with Devin Davis, a program coordinator at Amplify Arts Project (formerly Girls Rock) and Zealyn, the founder of Push-Up Bra LA. Both songwriters themselves, their organizations are joining forces to host a summer camp for teenage girls who will get to access professional writing rooms and mentorship from established women in the music industry. We discuss the ongoing fight to combat the lack of gender parity in the music industry, the main tentpoles of the program, and who Devin and Zealyn would have chosen to mentor their fifteen-year-old selves. ✨ KEEP UP TO DATE WITH AMPLIFY ARTS PROJECT ✨Website: https://amplifyartsproject.orgInstagram: instagram.com/amplifysummercamp/Facebook: facebook.com/amplifysleepawaycamp/YouTube: youtube.com/@amplifysummercamp✨ KEEP UP TO DATE WITH PUSH-UP BRA LA ✨Website: https://www.pushupbra.laInstagram: instagram.com/pushupbra.la/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@pushupbralaYouTube: youtube.com/@pushupbrala✨ CONNECT WITH IZZY ✨Blog: https://agrrrlstwosoundcents.comYouTube: youtube.com/channel/UCv6SBgiYCpYbx9BOYNefkIgInstagram: instagram.com/agrrrlstwosoundcents/Twitter: twitter.com/grrrlsoundcents

It's the Season 6 soft-launch, and we're doing all new themes, baby. We've already told you when it is Friday the 13th, but we've never asked the question, When is it Friday the 13th? Since I'm the only one around here who seems to know the answer to that question (it's me, Denny, I'm typing this, it isn't Greg), I'm doing a solo quest of Sleepaway Camp. Friday the 13th adjacent content officially counts, now. The Whennie Awards are coming up, and you'll be able to vote for them soon. Just check out our Instagram account, @moviesforwhen
Troy and Roger head to Camp Manabe for Return to Sleepaway Camp, the long-delayed sequel that somehow manages to be louder, meaner, and way more chaotic than the original. At the center of it all is Alan, quite possibly one of the most aggressively awful campers ever put on screen, whose nonstop whining and rage-fueled meltdowns make you almost root for the killer. The guys break down the film's bizarre tone, its obsession with gross-out humor, and the body count that feels both over-the-top and weirdly low-energy at the same time. They compare it to the original classic, question some truly baffling creative choices, and try to figure out who exactly this sequel was made for. Between plot holes, questionable comedy, and characters you cannot wait to see leave the screen, there is plenty to unpack.

EP:178 In this episode, I'm getting really honest about what it actually takes to own your voice and your self-worth—especially when you've spent years people-pleasing, peacekeeping, and prioritizing everyone else's opinions over your own. I share stories from my own life—walking away from a successful business, losing my marriage, navigating my family dynamics—and how learning to trust my inner voice (even when it cost me everything I thought I wanted) became the foundation of my peace, joy, and mental health. We'll talk about: Why you stay small, doubt yourself, and fear “rocking the boat” How internalizing everything leads to anxiety, burnout, and even panic attacks Why verbalizing your emotions (with a safe person or space) is a powerful regulation tool The role of self-validation vs. chasing approval from partners, parents, or friends How small, consistent “hard conversations” slowly rewire your brain and build unshakable self-worth. My hope is that as you listen, you start to recognize where you're abandoning your own voice—and feel empowered to take one small step toward speaking your truth, even if it feels wildly uncomfortable. You are not broken. You're just not used to honoring yourself yet. If this episode hit home, I'd love to support you more deeply. Apply for Thrive or 1:1 support to start owning your voice in a sustainable, regulated way. Screenshot this episode, share it on Instagram, and tag me @brookeweinstein with your biggest takeaway. Make a list today of 3 hard truths you've been holding back—and choose one to gently practice saying out loud. You are 1000% capable of discomfort. You are 1000% capable of saying the hard thing. And you are absolutely worthy of a life that feels like yours. #ThriveLikeAParent #OwnYourVoice #SelfWorthJourney #PeoplePleasingRecovery #AnxietyHealing #EmotionalRegulation #MentalHealthPodcast #WomenWhoSpeakUp #BoundariesAreHealthy #Neuroplasticity #EnneagramGrowth #HealingFromWithin #AuthenticLiving #HonestConversations #BrookeWeinstein

Step into late November with This Week in Horror History, the horror podcast that digs into the spooky anniversaries hiding between Thanksgiving and Christmas. In this episode, we dive into a full week of genre milestones for November 18–25, from cult slashers and gothic ghost stories to Stephen King adaptations, survival horror gaming, and a haunting cannibal romance. We kick things off at summer camp with Sleepaway Camp (1983), the infamous 1980s slasher movie whose shocking final twist made it a cult legend on VHS and a must-watch for every serious horror fan. Then we ride into the fog with Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow (1999), a stylish gothic horror film packed with headless-horseman mayhem, Hammer Horror vibes, and one of Johnny Depp's most beloved spooky roles. From there, we lock the supermarket doors and let The Mist (2007) roll in. This Stephen King horror movie traps terrified townspeople in a grocery store surrounded by Lovecraftian monsters and religious hysteria, building to one of the bleakest endings in modern horror cinema. We also pick up a controller for Condemned: Criminal Origins (2005), a grim Xbox 360 survival horror game that turned a next-gen console launch into a nightmare of crime scenes, jump scares, and first-person brutality. Our Deep-Cut Spotlight sinks its teeth into Salem's Lot (1979), Tobe Hooper's terrifying Stephen King TV miniseriesthat made an entire generation afraid to look out their bedroom windows. We talk small-town dread, the iconic window-scratch scene, and how this vampire story helped shape everything from Fright Night to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Midnight Mass.Along the way, we roll through horror birthdays (including icons connected to The Silence of the Lambs, The Thing, and indie horror favorites), revisit the legacy of Universal's Frankenstein in a Then & Now segment, and close with a Weekly Recommendation: Luca Guadagnino's Bones and All (2022), a melancholic cannibal road movie that plays like a twisted, emotional Thanksgiving watch. If you love horror history, Stephen King adaptations, Tim Burton gothic horror, 80s slasher movies, Thanksgiving horror, and deep dives into cult classics, this episode is your cozy, creepy guide to late-November genre viewing.Subscribe to This Week in Horror History on the Weekly Spooky network so you never miss a horror anniversary, hidden gem, or nightmare from the vault.Sleepaway Camp (1983)Streaming: Currently streaming on Peacock and available via Prime Video (depending on region/packaging).Physical: Recent Blu-ray restorations from boutique horror labels are in print and easy to hunt down for collectors.Sleepy Hollow (1999)Digital: Available to rent or buy digitally on the usual suspects, including Prime Video and Apple TV.Physical: Long-standing Paramount Blu-ray and DVD releases are widely available. The Mist (2007)Streaming: Streaming on Peacock and Paramount+, often as part of their Stephen King / horror lineups.Physical: Blu-ray editions are easy to find, including releases that feature Frank Darabont's preferred black-and-white cut.Condemned: Criminal Origins (2005 – game)Digital: Recently delisted from major digital storefronts, so it's not a simple click-to-buy anymore.Physical / Legacy: Best found as a physical Xbox 360 disc or as remaining PC keys from reputable sellers that still activate on Steam; expect some tinkering on modern hardware.Salem's Lot (1979 miniseries)Streaming: Shows up on free-with-ads streamers like Tubi and on horror-centric services such as AMC+ and Shudder from time to time, though availability shifts.Physical / Digital: There are solid DVD and Blu-ray editions in circulation, and it's typically available to rent or buy digitally on major VOD platforms when it falls out of flat-rate streaming.Bones and All (2022)Digital: Available digitally on Prime Video.Streaming: Also popping up on cinephile-focused streamers such as The Criterion Channel and MUBI, making it easy to slot into a late-night double feature. This episode of This Week in Horror History is brought to you by Savorista Coffee.
