POPULARITY
I have always admired Dustin Werbeski's skating for being fiercely innovative and creative, even if it completely went against what was currently popular at the time in skating. He produced numerous wonderful sections for Xsjado and Undercover while he was a member of their respective pro teams and even after things fell apart with both brands he continued pushing forward, driving his skating into more unknown territory. Back in 2016 he released a video riding SUV skates on mountain bike trails in Vancouver, Canada and to date it has clocked up over 878,000 views and he has kept pursuing this aspect of skating ever since, and now has the first SUV pro skate through Powerslide. Talking about all of Dustin's adventures would take a lifetime, but we managed to tap into a bunch of interesting stories in this episode and I'm sure you will find him as interesting a personality as I do. We started the show off by adding a new news category. The rumors section of the show featured some interesting happenings in the world of rollerblading. No reason to stick to strictly published news when we can pretty much do or say as we please. Our legitimacy is slightly questionable anyway. That led us into a crazy debate about Casualty pulling a Franco Shade. Whatever that means!? Lot's of awesome hardware news which is a treat and a rarity. And of course our signature internet news and video edit highlights. As if that weren't enough, we also fill you in on all of this months events happening around the U.S. This weeks POTW and winner of the almighty dollar is Derek Brabender with a shot of Cody Laplant doing an AO Fish - POTW. Last week was a no brainer. It didn't require any thought to know a new episode HAD to be recorded. It was three weeks in the making after all. It really does start to drive us a bit mad when we've gone that long without recording a new show. Al was traveling/skating during episode 61, but he still managed to find some time to tell us about Don's new Razors skate. Dedicated to the game for sure. Tim and I we're having a good 'ol time just being ourselves, bullshitting about our pastime and being realistic about our current situation. We also had an opportunity to play your listener voicemails. Pretty sweet we thought, it's not everyday you get a message from Cameron Card. We read the news so you don't have to... but eventually end up having to, to watch the amazing freaking skate edits we talk about. Read em and weep! It's gonna take more than a hacked sever and procrastination to bring us down! Better late than never, Episode 51 marks the resurgence of our ever popular news and opinion audio shows. A lot has happened in rollerblading since Episode 50 w/ Dave Paine. We had so much ground to cover we thought it best not to have a guest. Instead we delve into the Franco Shade/Arlo split for clothing and softgoods news. Al's hardware segment covers allot of ground with insights on the Rollerblade Estillo, the new Xsjado models and the highly anticipated Desi Carbon. We follow it up with the usual rants and raves, even going to far as to tip our hat to Collin Kelso for his "forthcomingness" on his relationhip with |B| Unique. All in all, a prety decent show, even if Tim and I had to share a mic. Of course all of our news items can be found on our delicious links page by clicking here . Oh and don’t forget to check out the POTW here. Enjoy! Please help keep us rolling by subscribing on iTunes and support the supporters by checking them all out!
