My sme jej SUV jazdili týždeň, sumarizujeme pozitívne aj negatívne poznatky z testu. Asi ste aj vy videli video s poľským novinárom, ktorý na čínskom SUV odtrhol volant aj so stĺpikom riadenia. „Ja som mal toto auto celý týždeň, prešiel som ním tisíc kilometrov a viem posúdiť, že táto internetová senzácia je buď zinscenovaný podvod, alebo urputná snaha uškodiť značke Omoda,“ hovorí v podcaste Erik Stríž z portálu Autobazar.EU.V tejto epizóde sa venujeme nielen osobnej skúsenosti s čínskym SUV Omoda 5, ako aj prekvapujúco zaujímavej konferencii Toyoty a BECEPu o zdanlivo nudnej téme - používaní bezpečnostných pásov. Napokon nás odborníci ohromili tým, čo ukázali a povedali. V podcaste budete vidieť a počuť aj známeho lietajúceho doktora Michala Pečíka a zástupcu organizácie BECEP Romana Töröka.Skúsenosti s Omoda 5Značka Omoda je u nás horúcou novinkou, vstúpila na slovenský trh spoločne s ďalšou čínskou značkou áut Jaecoo. Obe patria pod automobilku Chery. O dovoz a servis oboch sa stará dobre etablovaný importér a zaujímavosťou je, že nejde len o elektromobily, ale aj konvenčné benzínové automobily s moderným hybridným pohonom.Testovaný model 5 je stredne veľké SUV, veľkosťou zodpovedá Škode Karoq, Hyundaiu Kona či Citroënu C3 Aircross. Vzhľadom sa nápadne podobá na Nissan Qashqai, ale nemôžeme hovoriť o kopírovaní. Omoda je svojská, poukazujú na to najmä detaily. Naviac, Qashqai je dlhší o 5 centimetrov a rázvor má dlhší o 4 centimetre.Priestrannosť interiéru je však porovnateľná aj s Hyundai Tucson či Kia Sportage. Naše subjektívne dojmy z interiéru boli naozaj pozitívne. Nepostrehli sme vŕzganie, nepresnosti v dielenskom vypracovaní, ani sme nemali dojem, že by bol volant labilný. Samozrejme, nevieme, ako budú povrchové materiály vyzerať o niekoľko rokov. Keď budú Omody dostupné ako jazdenky so 100-tisíc km, pozrieme sa znova.Omoda sa prezentuje ako technologicky vyspelá značka a treba povedať, že na nás aj tak pôsobila najmä vďaka dobre spravenému infotainmentu a bezpečnostným funkciám. Infotainment pripomína systémy v Tesle, Xpengu či v nových Volkswagenoch. Občas sme registrovali menšie spomalenia systému a také udržiavanie v strede jazdného pruhu nebolo úplne spoľahlivé, ale celkový dojem je prevažne pozitívny. Oceňujeme slovenskú lokalizáciu a najmä stabilné bezdrôtové Android Auto. S ním majú teraz automobilky z nejakého dôvodu problémy.Toto je nie elektrické SUV. Omodu 5 poháňa benzínový 1.6 T-GDI, čo je štvorvalcový benzínový motor so solídnym výkonom 108 kW (147 koní). Má krútiaci moment až 275 Nm, automatická prevodovka má 7 stupňov a dve spojky. Vskutku dobrý základ pre dynamickú jazdu.Po týždni však musíme uznať, že nás tento motor mierne sklamal pre svoju veľmi priemernú pružnosť. Na diaľnici nám neraz pripravil nemilé prekvapenie, keď reagoval s oneskorenami a príliš rozvážne. Práca automatickej prevodovky bola chvíľami tiež príliš citeľná, tendencia podtáčať motor je tu zrejme kvôli spĺňaniu nárokov emisnej normy EURO 6e.Lenže pri mestských rýchlostiach sme vedeli oceniť kultivovaný chod, pokojný jazdný prejav a dosť dobrú schopnosť tlmičov filtrovať nerovnosti. Omoda 5 má vzadu vpredu nápravu typu MacPherson, čo je štandard, no vzadu viacprvkovú nápravu multi-link. To už štandard nie je, mnohé európske kompaktné SUV majú vzadu len tuhé nápravy, teda závislé zavesenie kolies. Azda aj to prospieva stabilite vozidla v meste aj pri ofenzívnom jazdnom štýle, no nevyhýba sa nakláňaniu karosérie. A vyslovene nás Omoda 5 vytrápila v miernom teréne, kde sa karoséria vyslovene zmietala. Skrátka, toto auto je určené na spevnenú vozovku, čo najkvalitnejšiu.Omoda 5 ICE na Slovensku ponúka...

Linda grew up fearing a wrathful God due to strict Southern Baptist teachings. After a severe illness, she let go of life and experienced a near-death journey, where she was embraced by Christ and carried into a brilliant Light — God — who revealed unconditional love, oneness, and peace. In this episode of Style DNA I go on a style journey with the extraordinary Mary Portas OBE. Mary is a businesswoman, broadcaster, author and activist. She started her career as a window dresser at Harrods but her creative flare soon saw her go from Top Shop (in its heydays) and on to Harvey Nichols, becoming a board member at the tender age of 32. Mary was the person responsible for Ab Fab using the then Harvey Nicks as their destination for shopping as well as creating some visionary and memorable windows turning the once fusty department store into THE place to enjoy the theatre and discovery of fashion. Her recently published book I Shop, Therefore I Am: The '90s, Harvey Nicks and Me is well worth a read, or even better, a listen on Audible as Mary is the most brilliant narrator as well as an excellent accent mimic. Harvey Nicks in the early 90's is where our paths first crossed and trust me, fashion was an entirely different proposition back then. Mary tells me it is still the era that she was the last time we were all truly connected....mobiles and social media have totally changed the way we all operate and not necessarily for the better. From Harvey Nicks she went on to found her on retail consultancy. Mary has since worked with some of the biggest names in global retail. Her BBC series, Mary, Queen of Shops premiered in 2007 and she has presented on television and radio ever since. In 2009, she partnered with Save the Children to reinvent charity shops...Mary's Living and Giving Shops.  She also conducted a review of the future for high streets for the British government in 2011. As co-chair of the Better Business Act, Mary heads a coalition of businesses calling for a change in the law to ensure UK companies align their interests with those of wider society and the environment and in 2024, she was awarded an OBE for her services to business, broadcasting and charity.As you would imagine for someone who has been so deeply entrenched in the fashion world Mary is not short of opinions ...but they are incredibly insightful ones. Charmingly she is not afraid to laugh at herself, as well as sharing stories of her fascinating journey through fashion and retail recalling moments from what feels like another era now. She talks about the late deputy editor of Vogue, Anna Harvey, (the most fabulous low key editor on the planet) advising her on her wardrobe as she progressed from the windows to the boardroom and suggesting that she really should invest in a Saint Laurent Le Smoking... it nearly broke the bank at the time but she still reaches for it when she wants to feel empowered... that's what I call true investment dressing. She is wonderfully open about how her style has evolved including choosing looks for her recent book tour with an old friend and colleague by shopping in her own wardrobe.We talk about the giant circus of fashion, which brands are inspiring her now (and why) wedding outfits (one to a husband and one to a wife) as well as Botox, facelifts, hair colour and so much more...I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did creating it. Since early childhood, Jacquelin has had numerous experiences as well as telepathic communications with star beings, light beings, angels and interdimensional beings. Jacquelin is able to travel, through her consciousness, to other star systems and universes and remembers what she is shown. Also, she has experienced an NDE as well as many “direct experiences in the light.”Jacquelin spent many nights on starships throughout her childhood learning many skills, including telepathy, clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience. She's been a star being many times in other star systems. Her star family in this current life who are Tall White Zeta Hybrids. They injected a DNA cocktail mix, which included their DNA as well as seven other races. This genetically enhanced Jacquelin before she was born. This makes her a hybrid, and she carries Star Being frequencies and DNA.At fourteen years old, she was standing her in backyard and a silver disc was hovering over her backyard in the middle of the day. This lecture looks at the evolution of Guantánamo Bay, first as a focal point of Haitian immigration in 1991 (Gitmo 1.0), to the more famous detention of terror suspects in 2002 (Gitmo 2.0), and back to immigration in 2025. We will explore how Gitmo 3.0 is probably already over, and how we were able to head it off so quickly through legal challenges. However, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said the U.S. is “actively searching” for countries to accept migrants deported from the U.S., with both El Salvador and Rwanda under consideration.
