On Day 5 of the six days that Gen. George Washington and the Continental Army spent on Rebel Hill, Gen. Washington issues very inspirational General Orders announcing the decision to establish winter quarters at Valley Forge. He also announces that the Army will spend the new nation's first Thanksgiving the next day on Rebel Hill in services as ordered by the Continental Congress. Both Washington's General Orders and the Continental Congress' Thanksgiving Proclamation are included in this podcast in full because they are both inspiration and stirring.
