Paul Stenhouse: Meta builds data centres in tents and is working on an AI pendant, Google and the FBI warn of ransomware gangs

The pace of AI development is nuts Something caught my eye this week that shows just how furious the AI race is becoming: Meta is so desperate for more data centres that it's constructing tents while the proper data centres are built. There are now five 12,000 square meter tents erected at a site in Ohio. They build these “rapid development structures” to house likely billions of dollars' worth of chips. A proper data centre can take years to build – they get these live in three months. They build ‘off the grid' gas-turbine power stations beside them too. Meta's next product: an AI pendant According to reports, it's planning to start testing the device early next year. There have been AI pendants hit the market that haven't taken off. Unsure if it's because they're not actually useful, or because people have privacy concerns about a device listening to everything you say. OpenAI is also working on a device with Apple's former designer Jony Ive. Google and the FBI are warning of something that sounds like it's straight from a movie US law enforcement is warning about ransomware gangs sending fake IT workers to offices to try and steal data. The group has been targeting law firms – turning up and social engineering their way to the laptops of victims and then connecting USB drives or using remote access tools to save data. Celebrating all the things is an easy way to remind ourselves that we have the best (albeit weirdest) job in the world. We work really hard, whether the public knows it or not. So for vendors, farmers and market teams, a little frivolity can go a long way in making people feel recognized and in relieving the pressure that we're under as we monitor regulations, manage conflict and deal with traffic. If we're also cutting a little cake or getting a bouquet handed to us it can really change the day. Listen in as we talk about everyday celebrations.   It's easy to find things to celebrate Recognition of birthdays and anniversaries mean a lot Sharing your team's accomplishments reminds the public that there IS a team Start now to plan bigger celebrations like National Farmers Market Week

Send us your Mediocre 5 Star ReviewThis week Tim and Ade unpack their wild weekend running The Barter Barn at The Bushcraft Show — a stall that somehow became the busiest spot on site and raised a small fortune for charity in the process. Think constant crowds, premium gear flying in and out, and trades so bizarre they'll live forever in podcast lore (yes, including the wedding dress). From a kid swapping foraged mint for a water bladder, to Damascus knives, Dutch ovens, elf costumes, and a dedicated knife table that appeared out of necessity, the lads relive the beautiful madness of running a no‑cash trading post in 35‑degree heat. They also talk about being roped onto the main stage to run a charity auction — unprepared, slightly terrified, and absolutely smashing it with over £4,000 raised. Add in community moments, old friends, new faces, Scouts everywhere, and Ade completing all three fire‑making methods like some sort of bushcraft wizard, and you've got a packed episode. It's warm, funny, chaotic, and full of the joy that makes the bushcraft community what it is.DISCLAIMER: Casual Camping Podcast accepts no liability and does not officially recommend any products or endorse any techniques discussed in an individual podcast episode or shown on Casual Camping Podcast social media accounts. It's a 100% Vision. I'll show you exactly what that means, why it changes the math for your entire school, and how principals like Trina, Francina, Kevin, and Ashley used it to get results most people said weren't possible.

Along the way, he meets up with sister Laura, turning the trip into a memorable family adventure as well as a camping challenge. With airline luggage limits, airport security rules, and a long carry into the field to think about, careful planning became essential. Ade and Tim chat through the realities of flying with camping gear, what you can and can't take onto a plane, and how to strike the perfect balance between travelling light and still being comfortable once you reach camp. They also explore the rules around wild camping in Scotland and why the freedom to camp responsibly in some of the UK's most stunning landscapes makes it worth the travel on planes, trains and automobiles.Naturally, things don't go entirely to plan. From funny conversations with locals to the slightly surreal moment the police arrived, the trip produced plenty of laughs, unexpected moments, and stories that only seem to happen when camping is involved.A funny, informative, and adventure-filled episode about family, travel, and the freedom that comes from carrying everything you need on your back.BIG Thanks to Vango for lending Tim the F10 Hydrogen Air tent for this episode. What could possibly go wrong? In this week's episode, they boldly attempt to elevate their campsite cuisine from “questionable beige” to something approaching fine dining. Yes, really. Armed with questionable confidence, a few ambitious ingredients, and the usual lack of coordination, they set out to prove that even two blokes who can barely organise a brew-up might just be capable of producing something… edible. Possibly even impressive.Fresh from a brilliant trip to Cumbria with friends, they swap stories from the field, share a load of top tips for levelling up camp cooking, and reveal whether their gourmet experiment was a triumph… or politely tolerated by everyone else.Expect laughs, mild chaos, and at least one moment where things nearly went very, very wrong. If you've ever wondered whether campsite cooking can be more than just beans and burnt sausages — this one's for you.DISCLAIMER: Casual Camping Podcast accepts no liability and does not officially recommend any products or endorse any techniques discussed in an individual podcast episode or shown on Casual Camping Podcast social media accounts. No pressure. In The Great Pack Down, they're planning a Cumbria getaway and, thanks to a 4 hour car sharing journey, are forced (yes, forced) to rethink their usual “bring everything just in case” approach. With limited space and big ambitions, it's time to strip things back and figure out what you actually need for a brilliant weekend outdoors. There's plenty of debate, some surprisingly sensible decisions, and the small matter of squeezing in Ade's cooking plans—because apparently a leg of lamb is now considered “essential kit.” Think downsizing from bell tents to lighter setups, ditching fire pits, and trusting the British weather to double as a fridge… because nothing says luxury like Nature's 1°C beer chiller.Less gear, shared journey, same great adventure.DISCLAIMER: Casual Camping Podcast accepts no liability and does not officially recommend any products or endorse any techniques discussed in an individual podcast episode or shown on Casual Camping Podcast social media accounts. Send us your Mediocre 5 Star ReviewThis week on Casual Camping Podcast, Ade and Tim are, quite literally, full of hot air.The lads are chatting all things air beam tents — those magical inflatable marvels that seem to pop up in minutes while everyone else on the campsite is still arguing with a bag of poles and a set of instructions written by a madman.Ade has taken the plunge with his first ever air beam tent, and safe to say, he absolutely loves it. There may be a slight hint of smugness as he talks about how quickly it goes up, while Tim sits there wondering why he's still living in the dark ages with conventional poles and muttering, “I need one of these.”Of course, they're also busting a few myths along the way. Are they really sturdy? Do they survive British weather? And do they basically turn your pitch into a giant bouncy castle? There's every chance Tim is already planning to launch himself at one just to test the theory. If you've ever fancied swapping bent poles, frayed tempers, and the annual “which end is the bedroom?” debate for something a little more… inflatable, this is the episode for you.Expect laughs, a bit of myth-busting, and at least one wildly exaggerated comparison to children's party equipment.DISCLAIMER: Casual Camping Podcast accepts no liability and does not officially recommend any products or endorse any techniques discussed in an individual podcast episode or shown on Casual Camping Podcast social media accounts. Peter Leithart, Alastair Roberts, Jeff Meyers, and James Bejon continue their series on Malachi, opening with a reflection on Malachi 2's portrait of the ideal Levitical priest — one whose lips carry true Torah, whose mouth pronounces righteous judgment, and who walks as a messenger of the Lord of hosts — drawing out implications for pastoral ministry in the new covenant. The conversation then turns to Malachi 2:10–16, tracing the repeated theme of treachery that binds the section together, with careful attention to the interconnection between Israel's betrayal of one another, their unfaithfulness to Yahweh, and the intermarriage controversies addressed by Ezra and Nehemiah. The panel explores the layered resonances of "abomination" in verse 11 — its evocation of Canaanite defilement, Solomonic apostasy, and the husband-bride typology of Yahweh and his sanctuary — while probing the puzzling idiom of verse 12 and leaving its mystery suggestively unresolved. Send us your Mediocre 5 Star ReviewThis week on Casual Camping Podcast, Ade and Tim head out into the field for one of the most unique events in the outdoor industry — Outdoor & Social.Outdoor & Social is a trade show with a difference. Rather than being aimed at buyers, press, or influencers, the event is designed specifically for retail store staff who sell outdoor equipment every day. It gives them the chance to step away from the shop floor and actually use the gear they recommend to customers, learning about it directly from the brands in the environment it was designed for.Instead of exhibition halls and conference stands, everything takes place outdoors over several days of camping. Brands bring their latest equipment and set up in the field, allowing attendees to get hands-on with tents, sleep systems, cooking gear and all sorts of outdoor kit. The whole idea is simple: if retail staff can properly experience and understand the equipment, they're far better placed to help customers choose the right gear when they return to the shop.Ade and Tim were invited along to see how it all works, and it turned into four memorable days living outdoors, surrounded by great people and plenty of brilliant kit. Moving around the site, they spent time talking with the people behind the brands, learning about new gear, and seeing how everything performs when it's actually being used rather than just displayed on a stand. But while there was plenty of kit to talk about, events like this are just as much about the people. The campsite was full of outdoor retailers and brand representatives sharing stories, swapping experiences from the shop floor, and enjoying the chance to spend time outside together. With evenings spent relaxing around camp with a drink or two, the atmosphere was friendly, informal, and full of laughs. So grab a brew, get comfortable, and join Ade and Tim as they take you along for the ride on their Outdoor & Social adventure.DISCLAIMER: Casual Camping Podcast accepts no liability and does not officially recommend any products or endorse any techniques discussed in an individual podcast episode or shown on Casual Camping Podcast social media accounts. Sunday, 22 February 2026   When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. Matthew 17:8   “And having uplifted their eyes, they saw none, if not Jesus alone” (CG).   In the previous verse, Jesus came to the disciples who had been overwhelmed by the voice and events on the mountain, touching them and telling them to arise and not be afraid. It next says, “And having uplifted their eyes.”   A new word, epairó, to uplift, is seen. It is from epi, upon, and airó, to take up or away. It can be used literally, as in this verse, or it can be used figuratively, such as exalting oneself, etc. The disciples had fallen on their faces from fear. Once Jesus' comforting touch and voice came, they uplifted their eyes and “they saw none, if not Jesus alone.”   Moses and Elijah were gone, and in whatever way the voice from the cloud was transmitted, there was nobody except Jesus to behold. The sudden removal of Moses and Elijah as soon as the voice had been uttered is instructional. Jesus and the message concerning Him are what are to be focused on. The Law and the Prophets had served their purpose and are now no longer what God is doing in the process of redemption.   Life application: If this short section concerning the events on the mountain is evaluated, the message it conveys is crystal clear. In Matthew 16:28, Jesus told the disciples that of those standing with Him, some would not see death until they saw the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.   Just a short time later, He took Peter, James, and John up on a high mountain where He metamorphosed before them. His countenance changed to brilliancy with radiating light. What does Paul say about the message of Christ? He explains it in 2 Corinthians 4 –   “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6   With His radiant countenance manifested, Moses and Elijah appeared and conversed with Him. As noted, Luke includes the note that their conversation was about Jesus' coming death, which He was about to accomplish in Jerusalem.   At that time, Peter offered to build three tents to accommodate Jesus, Moses, and Elijah. Tents are for dwelling in. But what was the divine response from the Father? It concerned hearing Jesus. The temporary tabernacling of Moses and Elijah was done. The new and eternal tabernacling with God is through Jesus –   “And I heard – voice great from the throne, saying, ‘You behold, the tabernacle [skéné], the God, with the men, and He will tabernacle [skénoó] with them, and they – peoples of Him, they will be, and He – the God with them, He will be, their God'” Revelation 21:3 (CG). After the voice, the men fell down terrified, but when Jesus came to reassure them, they looked up, and there was only Jesus. Jesus promised that there would be those who would see Him coming in His kingdom.   The kingdom is that of understanding who He is, meaning the God/Man in whom God tabernacles, and that the law only anticipated His coming. It is no longer what God is doing. The kingdom Jesus was referring to has arrived in the preaching of the gospel. It will be realized in those who receive it someday. Jesus' words were not referring to an earthly kingdom during the millennium. That will occur, but it is not what is being referred to here.   “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:13, 14   If your eyes are on law observance, you are missing the kingdom. Eyes on Jesus! The law is over. God wants us to focus our attention on what He has done through Jesus.   Lord God, thank You for the wonderful news of Jesus Christ. Through faith in Him, we are transferred to His kingdom and now have full and forever restoration with You. Thank You for this wonderful news. Yes, O God, thank You for Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
