Pastor Heath Lambert tackles the controversial question of women's voting rights from a biblical worldview. In this episode, he addresses whether Christians should believe women should lose the right to vote based on male headship principles. Lambert provides clear biblical reasoning on government, voting rights, and how Christian families can maintain unity and biblical leadership while still allowing women to participate in democracy. This thoughtful analysis separates biblical mandates from cultural preferences and offers practical wisdom for Christian families navigating political participation.Key Timestamps0:13 - Question introduction: Should women be allowed to vote?2:02 - Biblical perspective on voting and government3:16 - Examples of biblical leadership (judges and kings)4:14 - Why voting isn't mandated or forbidden in Scripture5:53 - Reality check: Women's voting rights aren't going away6:31 - Why women should retain voting rights7:48 - Problems with male-only voting in a fallen world8:32 - How Christian families can vote with unity and leadershipKey Points- Voting is Extra-Biblical: The Bible doesn't mandate or forbid voting systems. Biblical examples show righteous government through judges and kings, not democratic processes.- Scripture Silence Means Freedom: Since the Bible doesn't specify voting requirements, Christians have freedom in how voting systems operate.- Male Headship Doesn't Equal Vote Monopoly: Biblical male leadership in the home doesn't logically require removing women's voting rights.- Fallen World Considerations: Single women, widows, and women in ungodly marriages would be left without representation under male-only voting.- Unity Through Leadership, Not Restriction: Christian families can maintain biblical unity and male leadership while still allowing all members to vote.- Practical Family Example: Families can discuss issues biblically, pray together, and reach unified voting decisions without eliminating anyone's right to participate.Scripture ReferencesRomans 13:1-7 - "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God... For the one in authority is God's servant for your good."Biblical Examples of Leadership:Judges 13-16 - Samson's leadership periodJudges 6-8 - Gideon raised up as judge over Israel1 Samuel 8-31 - Establishment and history of Israel's monarchyJudges 2:16 - "Then the Lord raised up judges, who saved them out of the hands of these raiders"Ephesians 5:23 - "For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church"1 Timothy 3:4-5 - Regarding household leadership and church governanceHave a question you'd like answered? There's a direct line between when the Democratic Party got nationalized and when it started getting wiped out in red states. Dems need to embrace heterodoxy in their candidates—running in New York City is not the same as running in Nebraska. And the party has to exorcise itself of people like Andrew Cuomo. Plus, the administration has upped the cruelty quotient by denying retirement benefits to longtime trans members of the Air Force, the FBI gets deployed to advance the Republicans redistricting, and avoiding the scam PACs preying on Democrats. show notes Tim's interview with Andry on Substack or YouTube Lis's book, "Any Given Tuesday" Stanford's Adam Bonica on Mothership Strategies Cook Political Report's 2026 House rankings Tim's playlist

In these segments, Tara examines the unprecedented $9 billion spending cuts passed by the Senate, with more rescission bills poised to slash hundreds of billions in federal funding. She argues that agencies like USAID have secretly advanced left-wing agendas and bankrolled America's enemies, including the Taliban and Hamas. Tara details how billions in taxpayer money flowed into terror networks while U.S. troops paid the price. Guest: LTC Lee Robinson, USA In this Crosspoint Highlight from July 2025, LTC Lee Robinson explores the delicate balance military leaders must strike between free exercise of religion and non-establishment under the First Amendment. He emphasizes that the amendment's brevity—and its ambiguity—stem from the compromises between Federalists and Anti-Federalists at the time of America's founding. Lee explains how the language evolved, rejecting broader proposals like prohibiting any laws “touching religion” to avoid overly limiting the federal government. He encourages military leaders to wrestle with the historical context and constitutional principles behind the First Amendment to better understand their own oath to support and defend the Constitution, particularly in gray areas where religion intersects with public duty. What do you think? How does understanding the historical compromise behind the First Amendment help shape your approach to religious liberty in leadership? What practical steps can you take as a military leader to uphold both the free exercise of religion and the principle of non-establishment?
Welcome to Purple Political Breakdown, where we cut through the noise of partisan politics to find real solutions that work for real people. In a world drowning in red vs. blue rhetoric, we're building bridges in the purple space betweenwhere evidence matters more than ideology, and practical solutions trump political talking points.Rethinking Democracy: Why Reframing the Game Is the First Step to Reclaiming PowerIn our most groundbreaking conversation yet, we explored a revolutionary approach to democracy with Travis Misurell, founder of the Future is Now Coalition (FiNC) and the lead architect behind a citizen-owned political system designed to bypass establishment control and return power to the people.Rather than fighting within a rigged system, Travis is focused on replacing it, starting with how citizens see politics. His framework, Digital Politics (DP), helps people cut through the noise and see how power really works, helping them identify which politicians truly represent them, and which serve special interests. And that's where the tools under Digital Democracy (DD) come in, giving people the means to act on that clarity. The Future is Now Coalition (FiNC) is building a citizen-owned alternative political system to bypass establishment control and reshape democracy from the ground up. Learn more at futureis.org/join. At its core is Digital Politics (DP)a new lens that helps people see how power actually works and vote with clarity. But FiNC doesn't stop at awareness. It's building Digital Democracy (DD), a civic participation system where every citizen is heard, every candidate is seen, and independent media can rise without being buried by algorithms or gatekeepers.Travis's work through FiNC offers more than critiqueit's a working blueprint. One that unites citizens, grassroots candidates, movements, and independent media into a shared, citizen-led ecosystem. His mission is to help America stop settling for the lesser of two evils and start building a future designed by the people themselves.FiNC exists to provide the shared infrastructure, coordination, and visibility that today's political system has failed to deliverso citizens, candidates, movements, and media can build what comes next, together.A Framework Poised to Transform Democracy from the Bottom UpTravis's mission aligns with the sentiment shared by 85% of Americans who sense our system is failing them but don't quite grasp the how or why. By uniting frustrated citizens, grassroots reformers, and independent media under a shared truth, he's crafting a new way to perceive political needsa perspective-shift that's both enlightening and actionable, offering a new lens through which to view political complexities. In this conversation, we explored why traditional left vs. right politics is a distraction, how the real struggle is people vs. power, and why fixing democracy starts with changing how we think about itnot just who we vote for. We also dove into how citizens can build a new system of representation beyond establishment gatekeepers. We agreed that his platform could serve as a connective organization to bring all the different political solutions, third parties and different perspectives that can change and help America look beyond the current establishment. It's about creating the infrastructure where diverse voices and innovative approaches can unite under a shared vision for democratic transformation. This represents exactly what Purple Political Breakdown is about: finding ways to move beyond the failed two-party system and build something bettertogether. 【 What We Talked About】 In the New York City Democratic mayoral primary, a little-known 33-year-old State Assemblyman, Zohran Mamdani, defeated former Governor Andrew Cuomo in a stunning upset victory, sending shockwaves through the American political establishment. Mamdani, a self-described 'democratic socialist,' whose rise not only positions him to potentially become the first socialist mayor of the global financial capital but also marks a historic victory for the American progressive movement. From discussing "Halalflation" to adeptly using a range of new media strategies, how did Mamdani, in just a few short months, surge from single digits in the polls to win a race that once seemed impossible? How did his proposals, such as a rent freeze and universal pre-K, resonate in a city marked by a vast wealth gap? And when progressive idealism meets the complex political realities of New York, what challenges lie ahead for him? In this episode, we're joined by our guest Zhong, who is based in Brooklyn, to do a deep dive into Mamdani's rise and discuss the shifting dynamics of class, race, and generational politics in New York City that this election has brought to the forefront. Corrections: In the episode, we mention that AOC's primary win was eight years ago. This was a slip of the tongue; it was actually seven years ago. The episode references a New York Times analysis indicating that the 18-24 age group was the largest demographic in the primary. This data was subsequently updated after our recording, showing that the 25-34 age group actually had a higher turnout. Modern medical advances often solve one ethical dilemma while creating new ones. The question isn't just whether we can implement cutting-edge technologies, but whether we should—and what considerations must guide these momentous decisions.Consider Japan's promising artificial blood trials, a direct response to their dramatically aging population and declining birth rates. With younger generations shrinking and fewer blood donors available, this innovation could extend blood shelf-life from weeks to years. Yet at $5,000-$9,000 per unit compared to $215 for donated blood, such solutions highlight healthcare disparities between wealthy and developing nations where blood supplies may only reach 40% of needed amounts.Meanwhile, the average age of American mothers has risen to 27.5 years—reflecting a societal shift toward delayed parenthood. This seemingly innocuous trend carries sobering consequences: maternal mortality rates quadruple after age 40, infant mortality increases by 50%, and severe health complications rise significantly. Beyond statistics lie family dynamics as well—when parents have children later, grandparents may lack the energy to provide much-needed childcare support, creating cascading effects across generations.Perhaps most disturbing is Philip Nitschke's latest proposal—an implantable chip allowing early-stage dementia patients to end their lives before cognitive decline progresses. This device would require daily deactivation, raising profound questions about autonomy, memory, and what constitutes informed consent when someone's mental capacity fluctuates. Is forgetting you once wanted to die a problem requiring technological intervention, or a blessing that allows continued experiencing of life? These technological developments reflect deeper societal values. Whether discussing artificial blood, delayed parenthood, or end-of-life technology, we face fundamental questions about how we value human life at various stages and conditions. Join us as we navigate these challenging ethical intersections with compassion, critical thinking, and consideration of both scientific evidence and spiritual values.SHOW NOTES:Assisted Suicide Implant for Dementia Patients: https://tinyurl.com/22dcf5u2 accessed 6-7-25Trials for Artificial Blood: https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/japan-to-begin-clinical-trials-for-artificial-blood-this-year/Average Age of U.S. Moms Giving Birth Rises: https://tinyurl.com/23fxth87 accessed 6-16-25Find strength and courage in your faith at this year's FEARLESS FAITH Conference. Episode Overview In this episode of The Design Vault, hosts Albert Shum and Thamer Abanami explore the remarkable story of the Bandai Tamagotchi—a simple plastic egg with three buttons that revolutionized our relationship with technology. Born from Japan's economic "lost decade" and the rise of kawaii culture, this virtual pet created an entirely new paradigm for emotional engagement with digital devices. From Akihiro Yokoi's inspiration watching a boy unable to take his pet turtle on vacation, to the collaboration between toy company Bandai and design firm Wiz, the Tamagotchi pioneered concepts that would later define social media, mobile gaming, and AI companions. This episode reveals how a 32x16 pixel screen taught millions about digital responsibility while establishing the psychological phenomenon known as the "Tamagotchi effect." The left is the establishment now no matter what the liberal media tries to say. New Yorkers are scared at a Zohran administration as NYC mayor and the media is pulling the race card as the reason. The Supreme court makes a historical decision on Trump's birthright executive order and James T. and Producer Aaron pray after a murder plot in a 5th grade Surprise, AZ school was uncovered. Finally, the Conservative Circus says goodbye to Producer Bannon, aka, Young BC.
Will Bredderman, veteran political journalist covering New York City, talks about the history of matchups between New York City political party machines and highly engaged voters and how this dynamic created a victory for the Democratic Socialist assemblymember Zohran Mamdani against former governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic mayoral primary race.
This week, Democratic voters in New York elected Zohran Mamdani to be their candidate for the mayoral election in November. Perhaps not surprisingly, the 33-year old's popularity with the younger generations helped to catapult to victory. However, his political platform and campaign processes are giving the traditional elites the fits. Rent freezes? Free public transportation. Free childcare? Government-run grocery stores? Higher taxes for corporations and the so-called 1%? A $30/hour minimum wage? Regulating delivery apps? It is very aggressive and more than a little bit idealistic. The question remains: why do these economically questionable positions appeal to younger voters? In this week's Trading Perspectives, Sam Clement and John Norris discuss the recent mayoral primaries in New York, and analyze the winner's appeal to younger voters. The title is an allusion to a famous headline in New York during the Ford Administration….when Gerald Ford essentially blocked a financial bailout for the city.

Chambers Ireland, Ibec, ISME, Irish Centre for Business Excellence and the Irish Farmers Association are just some of the industry organisations engaged with Skillnet Ireland as promoting bodies of some of the 70 Skillnet Business Networks. Dave Flynn, Director of Business Networks, Skillnet Ireland, said: "Developing a future-ready workforce is a core priority for every business leader. The Skillnet Ireland network model allows companies of all sizes to access high-impact, industry-led upskilling. We are calling on business groups or clusters to take the next step and partner with us to establish a Skillnet Business Network for your sector, region or thematic area. This is a powerful opportunity to develop talent that will deliver measurable value for the businesses you support." Patricia Callan, Promoter, IFS Skillnet and Head of Sectors and Director, Financial Services Ireland Group, Ibec, said: "Financial Services Ireland established the IFS Skillnet, on behalf of our members in the international financial services industry, with a steering group of industry leaders, to deliver employer-led world class training. It's been a hugely valuable resource for our sector and enhances Ireland's reputation as a global financial services centre. The IFS Skillnet is contributing towards building a strong pipeline of skilled professionals to build competitiveness for business and underpin Ireland's economy. I would strongly encourage other industry bodies to collaborate with Skillnet Ireland to create a network that addresses the specific needs of their sector or region." Skillnet Ireland is seeking applications aligned to its strategic priority of futureproofing businesses of all sizes through talent development in key areas such as digital and AI adoption, climate action and business sustainability, and workforce innovation. New network applicants receive one-to-one support and consultation throughout the application process, including a virtual information session and workshop before the closing date of September 30th, 2025, at 3pm. Was verkauft Trumps innerer Zirkel die Attacke? Wie verhalten sich die Republikaner und die Demokraten? Und was denken politische Kommentatoren?
California Rep. Ro Khanna is one of the Democratic Party's key progressive voices, but he has no problem picking fights with his fellow Democrats or aligning himself with conservatives when he sees common ground. “I'm kind of blunt-spoken. I say what's on my mind,” he tells POLITICO's Dasha Burns. In this week's episode, Khanna lays out his concerns about the U.S. getting involved in the Israel-Iran conflict, why he thinks Democrats lost voters to Trump and how he thinks the party can win them back. “I actually think that at the end of Trumpism, this country is going to be exhausted by the bombast,” he tells Burns. “I think we need to offer a substantive vision for the country and to elevate the American debate.” (Note: This interview was conducted prior to Trump's announcement on Saturday evening that the U.S. bombed three Iranian nuclear sites. Here is Rep. Khanna's response to this announcement.) Plus, senior politics editor Sally Goldenberg joins Burns to discuss the crowded, chaotic New York City primary mayoral race and its national implications for the Democratic Party. It's been a huge month for red carpets, with events like the Met Gala and the Cannes Film Festival serving as season closers where celebrities and stylists really bring their A game. This week, Alyssa is joined by Eliza Brooke to really nerd out about the stylist, talent, and brand partnerships that fuel the red carpet machine. This is our version of sports, and while some of you are locked into the NBA Playoffs, we're focused on a different kind of bracket: which star has a contract with which luxury brand, what celebrity quietly traded their stylist for another, which stylist stole an MVP client from a peer, and so on. Tune in to hear their thoughts on the most exciting talent and stylist pairings in the game right now; what it takes for a duo to really make magic on the red carpet; the behind-the-scenes sponsorships and brand deals that are required to pay the bills; the magazine editor to celebrity stylist pipeline; YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok as the new launching pads for stylists' careers; the intimacy of a stylist/client relationship; what happens when there's a public falling out or switch-up in the styling world; how celebrities decide on a new aesthetic direction when they're entering a new era; the tragedy of a brand ambassadorship that's a bad fit; the rising stars on the styling scene to keep an eye on, and much more. This episode was recorded in the podcast studio at The SQ @ 205 Hudson. In a high-energy episode, @intheMatrixxx and @shadygrooove pay tribute to Memorial Day, reflecting on President Trump's May 26, 2025, visit to Arlington National Cemetery to honor America's fallen heroes, a powerful reminder of his commitment to the military and the nation they defended. The show highlights how Trump's policies, like the $150 billion in defense funding from the Big Beautiful Bill, continue to strengthen America's security. They then tackle the disinformation campaign surrounding the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, passed by the House on May 22 with a razor-thin 215-214 vote, which extends Trump's 2017 tax cuts, eliminates taxes on tips and overtime, and invests $46.5 billion in border security. Establishment narratives claim it adds $4 trillion to the deficit and strips healthcare from 14 million, but the show debunks these as fear-mongering, pointing to the bill's $1.6 trillion in savings and focus on prioritizing benefits for legal citizens, ensuring America's resources serve its people first. With the constitution as your weapon, join the fight to put America first. The truth is learned, never told—tune in at noon-0-five Eastern LIVE to stand with Trump!
